  1. Can’t see how anyone on the D can be faulted. Also, fans tend to judge players by how often their name gets called. There are ways to do a good job in the NFL that can be on the quieter side.
  2. The expectations are way too big for Allen right now. He’s a 2nd year who missed a lot of his 1st year. And he led what could have been game winning and game tying drives at the end. He could have been better, but he was solid. Writing him off at this point is silly.
  3. That was the correct call, by a mile. I was just hoping for some Music City Miracle karma from the refs, but they called it right.
  4. I did. I'm not concerned. Obviously, they can beat us - it's a division game, they almost beat us before. But I'm not seeing it.
  5. He tends to play his best when it matters the most. Obviously, there are quite a few aspects to his game that he has to tighten up - but we have to stop pretending that a 2nd year QB is going to be this fully developed thing. I hate to sound old, but I am - it used to be that rookies HAD to sit for a year or 2, and then it still took time to "get it." The expectations are too big, too early. I still think that class will be excellent - Darnold, Mayfield, Allen, obviously Jackson. It takes time - Allen is improving, and we need to be patient.
  6. Glad the Phins won. It's hard for even good teams to win 3 in a row. We'll get to 7-3 next week; that really ain't bad.
  7. Bad day for Hausch, obviously - but I did NOT get pretending to go for it on 4th, just for the 2% chance you could pull them Offside. It was the equivalent of calling a TO to ice the kicker. Hausch was ready to go in - you could see the coaches pushing him back on the sideline. For a guy whose confidence was already hurting, that did not help.
  8. I was happy w/ his play overall, also. I find the over-the-top criticism of him to be irrational - he deserves some blame, but he's actually progressing fairly well for a 2nd year guy. Not sure what people expect at this point of his career.
  9. I mean, that's not really the NFL. I don't think it's reasonable at all. The Bills could run the table for all we know.
  10. It's a knee-jerk. He had some bad throws, but was very solid yet again. Hard to put the loss on him.
  11. Um, well, I guess you have a point w/ the Ravens. We can beat the Pats, Steelers and Cowboys. Not that we'll win all of those, but it's not like the latter 2 are juggernauts, and the Pats will be competitive. Are you just penciling in a loss against every decent team?
  12. Clock management at the end of both halves left a ton to be desired. Just panicky stuff - we had so many chances there.
  13. The Bills are 6-3. 10 wins can definitely happen now. Today was a bummer, but it was just a loss. They happen, to every team.
  14. I mean, this is textbook overreaction. A clinic.
  15. Allen can do this. Lots of time left.
  16. Almost need a turnover here - tough to stop 4 downs. Though we did stop 8 downs inside the 5 earlier. So, there's that.
  17. That's forward - shoot.
  18. It has basically evened out over the course of the game w/ the miscues the Browns have had. We have to take this game now - D has gotta hold. We ask a lot of them, but we're asking again.
  19. I think Allen has as many 4th quarter comebacks as he does games started.
  20. Perfect sneak. D gotta hold now.
  21. That fumble might end up winning the game. The football gods work in mysterious ways.
  22. All I've really seen Lee Smith do is get penalties.
  23. Please. Run. The. Ball.
  24. Maybe Allen just likes setting it up this way so he can lead the league in 4th quarter comebacks.
