LOL Those guys are like the Beatles. Whenever I have seen them show up at award shows or wherever, the screams are out of control. I'm like my Dad now. There are so many things were I just furrow my brow and say something like, "I don't get it...."

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I think this is where Josh Allen's pure love of the game gives us an advantage. Tuesday night, short prep time for the league's best team, general uncertainty - just observing him so far, I don't think any of it will bother him a bit. He strikes me as the kind of player that just wants to know when kickoff is & can't wait to get out there. That's really how the whole team has to be this season. No matter what happens, you just have to roll with it and play the game whenever they tell you to, and with whoever you have.

It's such a unique year. I shocked myself by actually having a teensy bit of sympathy for the Patriots w/ the way the NFL handled Pats/Chiefs and Cam. But my guess is that just about every team will have to make some compromises and quick adjustments before the season is through. It's the trade-off for actually having football - which is a trade-off I'll make any ol' time.

Zero complaints. The team that wins the championship this year is the one that can be pretty nimble and adjust on the fly. I'm glad we get Bills football this week & next. Are we the 1st ever Tuesday night football game?

I want to play, because I think we'd beat them. But getting the W by forfeit would drive Patriots fans bananas. So, there is some benefit there.

That's fair, and you're right - I'm not taking much of that into consideration. It's just frustrating for me as a fan. From the outside, it seems like they're just making it up as they go along, and hoping for the best. But I'm sure there is a ton that goes into it that makes things more complicated than I'm allowing for.

That was a BIG play in the game on Sunday. It came at a time when we most needed it. Special teams can be downplayed - especially both the return game, and punting. A great punt that pins an opponent deep can be just as impactful - we've been lacking that, but hoping it develops.

True, but the NFL approached this whole thing from a position of maximum profitability - they weren't realistic about the situation and did no contingency planning (at least any that I can see). It shouldn't be a full season. They should have reduced it down to 12 or 14 games, built in extra bye weeks & more time at the end of the season for make-ups. There should be set thresholds for teams that have outbreaks: if x # of players get infected, the game goes on as scheduled, but if it exceeds that #, we postpone/reschedule. There should be more clear rules on the protocols and exactly what the consequences are for teams who break them. This is a multi-billion $ industry. This has been completely mismanaged, imo.

I'm genuinely embarrassed for the NFL. Here we are in October, in a pandemic, and they've had the benefit of seeing the other 3 major sports leagues resume seasons & all of the issues that can come up. And they're still in a mode where people have no idea what they're going to do to respond to one team breaking protocol & having multiple cases. There should be no doubt at this point. If x happens, we do y. Instead, it's all kinds of speculation, no uniform policy, no set guidelines & no flexibility built into the schedule to accommodate unpredictable events & outbreaks. Their entire COVID plan centered around wishful thinking.

We don't have that unstoppable pass rusher that we had. That's such a difference maker. Granted, there will never be another Bruce Smith. But we need someone on D who can take over a game.

I agree. It's time to see how we match up w/ the league's best, and see Mahomes & Allen head to head. That said, if it did happen & Mahomes couldn't play, Patriots fans would pull all of their hair out - they already think we've benefited from an easier schedule & timing.

A forfeit would finally right the injustice of the forward lateral that took the Bills out of the playoffs so many years ago and started the drought. I'm good w/ it.

I suppose - I shouldn't be too dismissive of them, especially after the last 20 years. But I disagree on the bolded. I have heard a lot of Pats fans saying that confidently online - but the entire dynamic changes w/ Cam in there. The assumption is always that everything will play out exactly as it did, and Cam wouldn't have fumbled or taken sacks like Hoyer, or thrown a pick 6. Their offense would have moved the ball better & probably scored more - but that would have cause KC to adjust and probably elevated their game. It might have been a real shootout, which I'd take KC in any day.

I was afraid the Pats might get Trevor and do the Favre/Rogers thing - glad to see that they're more middlin' than bad. Their fans still think the dynasty is alive. I don't see it. BB out-coaches everyone as he usually does, but they don't have the talent to really contend.

This, or something like it. They need to start talking seriously about extending the season and building in more time for make ups. They also need to establish thresholds - how many players have to be out before they reschedule? The NFL's entire policy so far is based on wishful thinking. It's embarrassing for a multi-billion $ business.

I don't ask a lot. Treat me fairly at my job, don't speed up when I'm trying to merge on the highway, don't overcook my burger. And give me my Bills on Sunday. These are simple requests.

Not my favorite player, but undeniably one of the most influential of modern times. Every '80's guitarist did the fret-hammering thing (which he famously hid from the audience before the band got signed). I still remember the exact time & place I was when I first heard "Eruption." It was like, what the heck is this? Mind-blowing at the time. R.I.P.

This isn't even a flicker of a thought in my head. We've been through as bad as almost any fan in sports history. I can point to a few that are close - Cubs fans, Red Sox fans for almost a century. In football, maybe the Lions. 2+ decades of my life - and I'm one of those homers who talked myself into every single team & season. "Bill Walsh liked Edwards....this is the year!" One of my kids asked me seriously at one point, "Aren't sports supposed to be fun?" We can go undefeated between now and the day the moon's orbit decays, with 2 50-point blowout wins against the Pats every year, and it still won't be enough for me. I am enjoying every single second.

Last week's crew was almost unbearable. The one dude was openly pulling for the Raiders.

I swear - there isn't much that is more ironic than reading Pats fans online complaining about the "kid gloves treatment" Mahomes gets from the refs...
