Everyone thought Mayfield was the best in Allen's class during their rookie season. I'd bet 3-4 of those guys end up better than Jones. Maybe all of them.

Everyone keeps saying Jones is the best QB from that class. Can you imagine him in Jacksonville, or starting for the Jets? It wouldn't shock me if he ends up as a backup.

So overhyped.

It's really a stark contrast to the Bills games I watch. He's nothing w/out that line.

I just want an easy game. It seems like it's been ages since I wasn't having heart palpitations late in a game.

There is actually no way whatsoever that Jones lives up to his hype so far. He has played competent football. And it's some sort of consensus that he'll be as good or better than Brady. Lots of pressure on that rook. Trying to replace the GOAT, and already being hyped to the moon. My own prediction is that we'll end up seeing more of a Leaf-type trajectory than Brady. But I wish him well.

Don't forget about Miami. They always give NE a hard time - even when NE was a top team.

We need a new meme along the lines of the Mora "Playoffs? Playoffs?!!!" one. "Patriots? Root for the Patriots?!!!!" It's not logical to me. Ever. I furrow my brow and try to get my brain to think it through, but it hurts and I abandon the thought.

You really need to be able to attack an opponent in a variety of ways. You need to be unpredictable. You want your team to give opposing DC's nightmares. Right now, I think opposing DC's fear Allen - but they don't fear the Bills offense. It won't take much. Shore up the line, get a real #1 back. All of the guys we have right now would be able # 2's.

I mean, I'm already deeply annoyed about the "hope you enjoyed your 1 flukey year on top" comments from Pats fans online.

So, they have no real criteria on this yet? It's all just arbitrary?

Alright, maybe it wasn't the smartest question. When I posted, the threads on the board mostly sounded like the season had ended, we missed the playoffs and we were all doing a post-mortem on what could have been. This was intended to be more of a "we can still do this, and should" kind of thread. But it sounds a little goofy now.

This feels like it could be more of an asterisk year than last year was.

Oh, understood - I get that, and if the Colts DO lose, that's the silver lining.

I can't believe some fans are pulling for the Pats on Saturday. We re-took the division last year, and it's still ours to lose as far as I'm concerned. I'm stoked about the next month & about the re-match in NE.

Maybe I'm going full homer here, but I think Allen is starting to inch ahead of him. Watching both play, it would be a no brainer for me. Give me Allen 10x out of 10. Granted, I see Allen play more - but Mahomes, while hugely talented, plays like he's on the Globetrotters too much.

Broncos & Raiders won't be easy outs for them.

Great game. I forgot how much I don't like the Chiefs. But glad that they won. I like the Chargers & Herbert, but it's all about survival at this point.

If we weren't actually playing that game, I would have loved it. I just love weather games.
