  1. Pittsburgh fans were also losing it. That game was CRAZY. Herbert re-defined clutch - there were at least 4-5 plays where he had 4th & 10 or longer, and pulled yet another one out of the hat. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite non-Bills players. Playing the Chargers will always be risky while he's QB. I kind of wanted them in the 1st round, because I don't think that coach is very good & they have some weaknesses, but I think Herbert can win any game w/ the receivers he has.
  2. So, the universe has decided to throw down the gauntlet. Not content to have us struggle through a season where we thought we'd get the one seed and instead had to fight until the end for a division win - now, we have to overcome a decades-old nemesis to advance. And he wears a hood. To which I say, bring it, universe. Your exalted hoodie just got swept by the Dolphins, needed 40 mph winds to beat the Bills 1 time in 2 years, and is pushing 70. With a rookie QB at the helm. I'm ready. I see your challenge and smirk. You can't hurt me anymore.
  3. They always say that kind of stuff about Buffalo - forgetting that they have many fans in the backwoods of Maine, NH, VT & the rest....
  4. Honestly, I kind of wish Bills fans wouldn't hang around other boards, unless it's purely for football talk. I've noticed that one poster seems to have worn out his welcome there. On a side note, I think opposing fans like to say "their window is closing fast" just because. The Pats have a shorter window than we do w/ the aging vets on that team.
  5. He'll get hired in a second. And the Dolphins will have a hard time replacing him.
  6. Another poster put up the "Breaking Bad" meme of WW saying "I'm the one who knocks" after the Bills beat the Pats the last time. It was perfect.
  7. I think most here would admit to having some of that. But I think that's part of the reason we may have needed this match-up. This is a multi-layered demon we have w/ that team, and we're chipping away at it a little at a time. Season sweep? Check. Back to back division titles? Check. Big division-clinching win at Gillette? Check. There is still a box for "vanquish hoodied nemesis in playoffs." We check that on Saturday, and we're running out of boxes.
  8. I'm just taking it at face value. I think the congrats are sincere. Opposing fan posts are - by their very nature - passive aggressive. He's posting on a Bills board, but of course he's going to have allegiance to his own team, and build them up in a way that rubs this fanbase the wrong way (mainly because of the team he roots for). He's generally very cool, though. I wouldn't say that about all of the Pats fans who have spent time here. There was one who clearly came just to troll, but I haven't seen him in quite awhile.
  9. I can't help but think about how the Red Sox got over their demons w/ the Yankees (which is ironic). It wasn't enough to win the division or beat them in the regular season - they flipped the script by beating them in the playoffs, in dramatic fashion. And didn't really look back. It's not the match-up I wanted...but it may be the match-up I needed.
  10. And he takes off the hoodie and throws it into the crowd....
  11. I think the word "choke" is way overused in sports. But right now, the Chargers are choking. They need to pull it together. I so would prefer facing them.
  12. Man, the refs are really going after the Chargers here.
  13. Yeah - he tried to do a little too much on a return. Bad mistake.
  14. Returners can play hero ball, too. That's a tough mistake in such a crucial game.
  15. Even when Josh isn't that good, he's amazing.
  16. They should go back to 16. 17 is just a weird, odd # - and I will never support going to 18. This is a contact sport.
  17. Either way tonight. But playing the Chargers would be less drama.
  18. Smart move going for 3. The Jets aren't going to score a ton. One more FG probably wins it.
  19. I hope they're not scoreboard watching. Just win this game.
  20. It's one play. I'm more inclined to judge his coaching skills on the team's response over the past month, and how ready they look today in general.
  21. I mean, Davis WAS held there...
  22. Man, Jones was SO overhyped. He may still turn out to be good, but it was over the top all season. He's a very average rookie QB.
  23. Trubisky got to live & work in the greatest region on the world, w/ the absolute best people, fans & food, for a good part of a year. I celebrate the opportunity he got to experience that, even if it's only for this one time.
  24. Packers. Rodgers deserves another ring - he gets blamed for a lot of their playoff failures, but if you watched the games, there was plenty that was out of his control.
