I mean, people kind of forget that even if we have a dome, we might have to go to NE, or Pitt, or NY, or Baltimore, or KC, or any one of a variety of places in the playoffs that could have terrible weather. Peyton Manning had a dome. It didn't serve him too well for many years when he had to go TO New England in the playoffs.

I do hate that. They lurk here, and then bring a thread back to their board, and they're all "we're still in their heads! Little brother! They just won their Super Bowl!" And then part of me is like, well, no s**t - your team beat ours for 2 decades. You're lost 3 of 4 and you're already on the edge - imagine that until 2040.

I love watching him run. I hate watching him run. If I knew he could stay healthy and that it wouldn't shorten his career to keep giving him as much of the offensive load as he's been getting, I'd be all for it. I can't imagine that there is a guy who gives DC's more vivid and lasting nightmares. But I sincerely hope that the runs become more rare - or at least less physical. He's really taking some hits out there.

We have one of the best & most raucous crowds in the NFL. When it comes to a playoff game, that really helps - especially the defense. Facing a rookie QB like Jones, in possibly his 1st playoff game? I'd bet that he'd rather be in New England than Buffalo. That crowd will fire up the D, and likely rattle him. Homefield is still a thing. It's why teams in every sport try so hard to get it.

I guess people could say that yesterday was a rough one for Allen - but he was still magnificent, and still basically carried the team on his shoulders for big parts of the game - albeit w/ more help this time. I personally didn't think that any of the picks were bad throws. A couple of tips, and then Beasley was interfered w/ on the other. The last line is a good comparison - he really doesn't belong in the "running QB" category, since he is now such a good thrower. If all he did was pass, he'd still be one of the league's top QB's. I kind of think the running is a conundrum. He's so good at it, but every time he has a game like yesterday (or the Bucs, or last week), I always think "this isn't sustainable." I think it's probably necessary this year, but I'd love to see the Bills evolve to a point where the games aren't so physical for him.

Week 18: Jets at Bills - a W wins the AFC East!
Success replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
They were pretty flukey picks, imo. On the 2nd, it looked like Beasley was pushed also - it probably should have been a flag. But it was good to see other players and units step up for the win. -
I was really pulling for the Jets today. It is so strange how Brady always pulls those games out - 1st, the Jets miss on the 4th down, which was apparently the wrong play (and how many times do teams or coaches do that playing against Brady?) Then pulling out a winning drive with no time outs and 70 yards to go, under 2 minutes.

Ed Oliver has been a beast the last few games...
Success replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did you see Oliver on the sidelines firing up the crowd in the 2nd half? It was great to see his leadership out there - not just on the sidelines, but after some of the key plays they had on defense. He seemed determined to make sure that his teammates didn't let up and didn't take the game lightly. -
The Bills left a bunch of points out on the field in both games. They can punt next time. I like their chances in a home game where the winds aren't blowing commentators out of their chairs.

Don't fear the Patriots. We beat that team now unless there is a hurricane, tornado or some other extreme wind event.

Week 17 Gameday Bills vs Falcons Postgame Thread -PLAYOFFS!
Success replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean, with TN as the #1 seed, it's really wide open. That's a team I would not fear going to their place to play. Not that it's a gimme, but I just think we'd beat 'em the next time around. -

Success replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
You just know Pats fans were giddy when we were down 15-14. They put up 50 but are probably still bummed the Bills won. I remember those days, when the Bills would get a big win but some sort of Pats comeback would still put a pall over the day. -

I mean, respectfully - absolutely not. You win the division when you have a chance to win the division. -

I like getting breaks. It's so much better than not getting breaks. -

Too many mistakes. Oh, well - it's just a 1 point deficit. There is zero reason why the Bills shouldn't come out & take the 2nd half. -

We'll get to watch Josh Allen for a long time. This makes me happy. -

That was a well designed play. Great drive. -
I was checking a Pats board, and they were whining incessantly about the refs in both Bills games and how much of an unfair advantage the Bills have. One said that the Bills are the "NFL darlings" and always get the calls. They really said that.

They're like the Beatles - they each bring something different to the table. That's a big loss for the show.
