Seriously? I haven't read anything like that. If it's broken, it's definitely surprising that he was full in the last practice.

Clark is one of the good ones (there aren't many).

I can accept the Jags loss - weird game, London, injuries, weird game. I can't accept a loss Sunday. We're home, and we should win this game 9x out of 10.

Is a Healthy Von Miller an Option to Replace Milano?
Success replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
As others have stated - no. But, it could be a wash losing a big playmaker on D, and getting one back from injury. Maybe not a complete wash, but Von will be disruptive just as Milano was, only in a different way. The LB corps will be a question mark for awhile, and may be a weakness. We'll have to see how it goes w/ Williams and Klein. I'm excited to see Williams play & see how he develops. And, I'm still heartened by the fact that they have not ruled Milano out for the season. -
Sunday Night's Game v NYG -- What's on Your Menu?
Success replied to HIT BY SPIKES's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been on a low-cholesterol diet, and have been doing great for over a month - so I think this will be a cheat night for me. Mushroom/swiss burgers, wings, fries, beer. Back to fish & tofu on Monday. -
"Jaws" when I was 10. I sat in the front row. I was afraid to go in the deep end of a pool for a few years after that. And to this day, when I swim in the ocean, I'm always looking around for a fin. EDIT: I'm kind of shocked - I just checked, and online it says "Jaws" was rated PG. Which is pretty surprising. I think the 1st R I saw was Alien, then. A crazy one to watch when I was that age, but the violent scenes didn't stick w/ me like "Jaws" did.

They're struggling to beat some of the worst teams in the league. At this point, maybe it doesn't mean much. They've won a couple of titles, and might be in a mode of just starting slow, working out the kinks, etc., before they kick into a higher gear later in the season. But they're not passing the eye test for me. I went into the season thinking that WR corps would be an achilles heel for them, and that seems to be the case. Not sure if they can overcome that without an acquisition by the deadline

The Chiefs were always winning a lot in this stretch. The hard part of their schedule is later in the season. We can keep pace. The head-to-head will be pretty crucial in terms of playoff seeding.

1st time I've felt pretty confident about facing Mahomes & that O. So, of course, their D is lights out now. They've done a good job building there. Great pass rush, and McDuffie looked really good, which made me a little envious looking back on that draft.

Always?

I actually dislike the Chiefs more than the Patriots. Never thought I'd dislike a team as much as the Pats. Feels weird, but good.

Watching Payton - I'm so glad McD is our coach.
-
I don't concur.. I've watched enough of the Chiefs this season. They'll coast because of their easy schedule - but that is not a championship team this year..
-
I need some help here: Why did genius Payton call a TO there? Like....WHY?!!!!!!!!!!
-
Who should we root for....the Broncos, or Chiefs? Sorry, just feeling goofy. Here's hoping Russell Wilson has a vintage Russell Wilson game, and Denver gets one of their 2 wins for the season.

Will we learn anything the next three weeks?
Success replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
We'll learn how well we adjust to losing players to injury. It doesn't matter how bad our opponents are - we'll have a pretty good idea. -
I like the Niners. The NFL's new villains are undoubtedly the Chiefs.

Another Trade Target - Harrison Phillips - Minnesota Vikings
Success replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our line is deep, and talented. Losing Jones hurts, but we don't need to trade for that position unit (imo). -
It seems like every year, there is some "generational prospect" at QB who gets hyped. Sometimes they pan out, and sometimes they don't. It's very rare they actually match or exceed expectations.

During the Brady years, I was hoping that this was the kind of thread title I'd see on here in 2023. Pinch me.

This is appropriate at this time. For anyone who remembers, it was the G-men who exemplified the idea of overcoming adversity in the 2007 season. That was the promo leading up to the SB - "resiliency!" Tiki Barber decided to retire. Their next best back, Ward, got injured. Their best offensive player, Shockey, got injured. Everyone wrote them off. And they proceeded to go on a legendary playoff run, culminating in one of the greatest upsets in sports history. It's all about embracing adversity, and rallying around it. Treat challenges as opportunities. This Bills team can take the 1st step toward doing that by beating a team who set the standard for it.

I can't really disagree w/ that. But circumstances today are just different. Davis is playing pretty well, and Sherfield has made the most of the few moments he has had. Meanwhile, we lost 3 of our best players on D. The offense is a very minor concern right now, despite the Jags game, which was just all kinds of weirdness anyway. I would think if we're going to trade and give up valuable capital from either the draft or the roster, it would be to bolster positions like LB or CB, where we're now thin.
-
I don't. It's not a need. And we HAVE needs. Dorsey needs to start using the guys we have better. Sherfield, Harty & Kincaid can all play - we need to start spreading the ball around more
