  1. The line was better most of the year so far - but they were trash today. Without doubt, Allen was rushed most of the game. I thought Allen was alright today, though. He made plays when he needed to. The slow starts are starting to become a pattern, so hopefully they can fix that. And they have to let Allen run again. They have to let him be the guy who teams feared. They're taking away half of his game.
  2. I was going to start this same thread. Word for word. Thanks for saving me some time. I've been nothing but hope - but I'm rattled today. And I'm tired. So much heartbreak, so little reward - especially for us older fans. It takes a toll, and makes you wonder if you're spending your time the best way.
  3. I was. I tried to gloss it over. Those are devastating injuries. Maybe you can have 1 or even 2, but it was too much.
  4. We'd be on our 3rd coach w/ Trump by now. Not that this would be a good thing.
  5. I don't know. I'm usually among the most optimistic - but something is wrong here.. We're not as good as the top teams. That's just reality right now.
  6. We were like that the 1st few weeks. We're an average D now. Maybe Oliver coming back will give us more of an edge, but we've lost too many key guys
  7. I thought we'd be okay.. Not happy to admit I was wrong. We're not a good defense right now
  8. Have we gotten ANY update on Jones? I'd feel better about the playoffs if he could at least make it back by then.
  9. That guy has owned the Bills, from 1990 until today. It's a drag.
  10. It was one of JA's few mistakes - but the pick on the 1st drive just set the tone for the whole game.. It gave the Pats such a boost. And it took us so long to get in rhythm after that.
  11. This team never made it back from London. Every team has to do it, so it's not an excuse - but it still ticks me off. We were starting to roll in the 3 games before that trip. Okay. Maybe I'm making an excuse.
  12. I was surprised not to see a bunch of vomit emojis for the OP. No. We're not sellers.
  13. I'm not at panic yet. But my faith is surely rattled. There isn't a team we can't beat on the remaining schedule. But there also isn't a team who couldn't beat us. One at a time, as they say. What else can we do? Let's beat the Bucs, get to 5-3, and see how the rest play out. I always say it's better to be the hot team in December and January.
  14. I'm a homer's homer, and can usually find diamond in any rough. But today is giving me pause. Maybe it just isn't going to happen for the Bills. So many things need to go right.
  15. I'm naive. I thought we could hold up okay w/ the injuries. This now looks exactly like the defense that lost to the Bengals and almost lost to the Dolphins last year. It looks like the D that folded w/ 13 seconds to go. We're in some trouble.
  16. The no huddle works when we do it. Worked in the '90's, too. Might be time. We something different. And it needs to be kind of radical.
  17. Well, if we're going to lose another division game - may as well look at the positive: the chances that the Pats get Maye or Williams probably just disappeared.
  18. Losing to the Pats - it just kills me. This one will take some time. (sigh) I'm not giving up on the season. We dug a hole, we're missing some really key guys, and we do not look good. But I'm old enough to remember that a lot of teams who ended up winning titles started out pretty bad or mediocre. Playing well in December & January is what counts. We have the talent. The coaching has to improve.
  19. I usually like your posting here, but read the room. We just lost a tough game. I don't know if many fans here are interested in learning how the Pats can be consistently good.
  20. Pats fans used to be so smug about the few victories we got during their dynasty. Always "The Bills won their SB." Those fans are celebrating more online right now than I remember them celebrating after actual SB's.
  21. After winning 6 SB's as a head coach, you'd think his legacy would be intact. And it kind of is. But, it will likely always be "he needed Brady" now. A lot of the mystique has disappeared without TB.
  22. They're only similar if you use the cumulative totals for all 5 years. Not if you compare years 3-5 for both. They're not comparable QB's. The reason people make the comparison is because they are both physical runners.
  23. I already said that right now, I have Mahomes ahead of him. I think I have it closer than most, but objectively, Mahomes is #1 right now. You're the one who was trying to compare Allen to Cam - which many opposing fans have done. And it's not an appropriate comparison. They're nothing alike.
  24. Like I said: you come to this board looking for fans HERE to praise Mahomes & the Chiefs, and be in "woe is us because we'll never be as good" mode. You're going to be disappointed in most of what I post here as a result. And yeah - that entire 2nd paragraph - except for MVP, which JA is always in the running for - is team stuff. It's a team game. A lot of guys play. It's not golf, or tennis.
