  1. I usually say "we got this" in those kinds of situations at the end of games - and we lose more often than not. This time, I said "I can't believe we're gonna lose another one of these" after that PI call that put the ball at the 1. You're welcome.
  2. Elam improved quite a bit over last week, imo. Still not where we'd want him to be, but hopefully he just needs more experience.
  3. Every case is different, imo. I think KC is no longer a juggernaut. Their WR corps is weak. I think Cincy's issues can largely be traced to Burrow's injury. With Buffalo, it's been a rough couple of weeks. But the 3 weeks prior were all pretty stellar. So, we're inconsistent. I think last night might have been different if a few plays didn't happen (the tipped ball for INT, the Davis fumble). Seemed like we got on the Giants' side of the field plenty, but just fizzled out w/ turnovers or missed FG's.
  4. We've been on the wrong side of plenty of bad officiating - I'll take this one as a make up. Definitely understand the Giants & their fans being upset about this.
  5. This is what will need to happen to sustain success while we have Allen. It's a good sign. Beane is hitting on a lot of draft picks now, imo.
  6. Just read that he was released from the hospital - he has pain in his neck, but "otherwise is going to be fine." Another report said it's a neck sprain. Best possible news if true, imo.
  7. I'll take a worst win over a worst loss, any ol' day.
  8. I'll probably get some eyerolls - but I'm a Saleh fan. He has changed the culture there, dramatically. I think they found a good coach. Comments like the one in the OP are part of the change in attitude. I don't mind it, and it gives Allen some more motivation for the next one.
  9. I thought one of the biggest positives from that ugly game was the LB play. Both of these guys seemed like they were all over the field, all night. Just flying to where the ball was and making plays. It seems like what we lack in size in the LB unit, we make up for in speed. I didn't really notice Milano's absence. Williams seemed like a vet out there. Curious if anyone/everyone saw it the same way I did. There were mistakes, like Bernard's PI in the endzone that almost really cost the team, but overall I thought both guys were excellent.
  10. Taylor did everything he could yesterday. Considering the state of that O-line and who his receivers are, I thought he was pretty spectacular. The G-men should have probably won that game. The decisions to pass at the end of both halves cost them at least 1 TD, and probably 2.
  11. I'm not too keen on the Pats getting Maye or Williams - but they might. Still, no guarantee either guy will be good in the pros. Seems like lately, most of the hyped prospects have fallen short of expectations.
  12. Shotgun on the half yard line. I repeat: shotgun on the half yard line.
  13. I was happy to see that he was step for step w/ the receiver on one of the long pass attempts they had near the end. Like you said, I didn't notice him otherwise, which is probably good.
  14. We peaked early last season. Maybe it's a flip this season. It's been the case for a lot of title teams that they had a few games like yesterday. I agree it's concerning on the heels of the Jags game, but the main thing right now is that we're 4-2. We CAN have games like the Miami game. Dorsey has to improve. The playbook seems too thin right now, and plays like going shotgun on the half yard line are just head-scratching.
  15. What IS Dorsey's offense? The playbook seems really thin, and the in-game decision making is more than questionable.
  16. Hope we get some good news on this tomorrow. The thumbs up was encouraging.
  17. We've really come full circle when Pats fans coming off a loss to go to 1-5 are complaining about the Bills getting top contender treatment from the refs.
  18. Any word on Brown? I think he got hurt when the defender kicked him in the knee during that big scrum.
  19. Feel bad for Daboll. Come back to Buffalo, Brian - we'll win some Super Bowls & stuff.
  20. I actually love the ugly win - because we usually get the ugly loss. You have to be able to win these kinds of games, and this feels like the 1st one of 'em in awhile that the Bills hung on & won.
  21. I can breathe now. Kudos to Tyrod. He was fantastic tonight.
  22. We got lucky w/ the no call at the end.
  23. Well, we won a close ugly one.
  24. Elam step for step on that one.
  25. They're in 4 down here for sure. Need a sack.
