Yeah that's why I'm thinking that's how VW got the job. He's giving the perception of a type-A personality who will win at all costs. I do think the Wilpons don't like the perception they have amongst Mets fans and to some extent that bothers them. However, like you say see what happens. I mean I'm happy VW wants to spend but hopefully he does it wisely

It may just be more bearable since both Taylor and Wham are singing about guys ?

Well we will see what this team is made of now once they faced some adversity here the last few weeks. Will they keep folding up like a cheap tent or come back as winners?

So this is my theory on how VW got the job. I do think the Wilpons are aware of their image among guys like us as being cheap and not caring about winning. I think they are hoping VW changes this perception. Of course time will tell on a lot of things but I’ll give VW a shot.

So I was Christmas shopping this weekend when someone in Macy's just let one rip loudly without any shame. Made me think of this topic. The funniest memory I have is being in detention in high school for a half hour after school. It just consisted of being in a room with an administrator and having to sit silently at a desk for that time. With about 2 minutes left in it this kid name Joe farts real loud. Everybody started laughing hysterically except the administrator. He was just really pissed and made everybody stay an extra half hour!

I caught the end of it when I got out of work. It at least seemed civilized. I still take everything they say with a grain of salt. VW also told fans to trust the process. It seems though he very much wants to win now and is willing to double down in doing so

So I read Brandon was Santa Claus this year. Um going back to Anna Benson hasn’t that always been something of a curse ? At any rate I really hope Van Wagenen doesn’t trade him this offseason

With this weekends matchup coming up I can't but think of that game still. I live in NJ and Jets fans (most notably Joe and Evan on WFAN) always mention that as the game where it was all downhill for Bowles and the franchise. Jets record has only been 13-31 since. Someone put together a top 50 moments of the drought video and I was surprised McKelvin's pick on Fitz wasn't up there. At the time it was exciting and left me with a positive taste in my mouth that offseason. I don’t especially dislike the Jets but it was funny when so many of their fans thought it was assured they’d beat the Bills that day. It's one franchise though the Bills are in considerably better shape then at the moment.

Imagine if Mike is on they pitched their starter three innings mode! Don’t care for Francesa(find him too arrogant) but that day he make me laugh
