Another Fan

Just going to touch on this whole Dykstra/Darling controversy. Lenny was a great player and it saddens me to some extent players today don't have that same kind of passion for the game. Having said that he's proved time and time again he's not a good person and that's putting it very nicely. Now having said that about Lenny I really question why Darling is mentioning stuff that happened over 30 years ago now. Well to sell books... I mean there's plenty of stuff I said over 10 plus years ago that if got brought up now I'd be embarrassed by. I move on though and don't linger over the past... In terms of just this content Lenny was bothering Oil Can Boyd.... its competitive battle. I mean not really my way to harass someone but in Lenny's case he hit a HR off him that night. He was probably just playing mind games with him to throw him off his game. Shouldn't be looked as more than that. Well at least to me. So ultimately while I dislike Dykstra the person, I'd take his side in this

DeGrom tearing it up! Can hit too Similar to Doc in 85 and Harvey to some extent in 13 it feels like an event whenever he takes the mound. I just hope he doesn’t have the drug issues of Doc or turn into a total d-bag (Harvey).

I had to work today and they were down 5-2 when I left. Showed some grit coming back unfortunately couldn't get the W. I didn't see Wheeler today but I'm guessing he didn't have his best stuff day? Last year his performance in the second half of the year was the highlight of it for me. Looked like he turned a corner and was finally getting it together. Aaah maybe he's just rusty

Glad to read all these responses. It did bother me more than I realized the one fellows initial reaction to me asking if he was a Bills fan or not. Hence going here, starting this thread and asking what seems like a silly question. Go Bills!

They went 80-82 with him on the team last year. Doesn’t even make sense for him to get compensation near that

So here's where I'm going with that question. I don't live in Buffalo/WNY so it's not all that common to find Bills fans/supporters by me. Every few months I might catch someone with the Bills decal on their car or someone wearing a shirt. At work last week I noticed someone wearing a Bills cap last week so I immediately went out of my way to ask if he was a fan. His first response was, "I know they are a bad team and it's embarrassing but yes". I went on to try to explain to him I was a fan myself to which he apologized. Had to go to a meeting so I couldn't shoot the breeze with him too long but just finished saying hopefully Josh puts the pieces together this year. I guess I could understand the sentiments to some extent. Being a Bills fan certainly hasn't exactly been easy

Well I didn't actually run it but I ran in it twice.. Rutgers University hosts every December The Big Chill 5k run. Instead of paying a fee you had to bring a toy to donate. Over 3,000 toys were collected for Toys for Tots. For a run that size with over 3,000 people it was very well organized.

I thought RG3 started for the Browns in that game 3 years ago not Kessler? Wonder what became of him That win actually put the Bills at 7-7 that year and made them still mathematically alive for the playoffs. It was funny at the time listening to Whaley go on about how the team was still in it

I caught the end of the Xavier game. The block/charge with 2 secs left I thought the ref should have just let that go. Though it didn’t really affect the outcome. Obviously not the outcome you wanted but exciting to watch. Better than anything else on TV. I guess though that’s what makes Nova #1. That ability to come from behind/finish off games

I tended to hope years ago the whole student loan market would blow up like the housing one did 10 years ago. Hence less emphasis as a college education as the end all/be all

I’d certainly like to see the Browns do well but the 2011 Eagles come to mind. A team stacked with talent but never really fired on all cylinders until too late

Yep! During the regular season though I’m more active on the Bills portion of the site on weekends. Otherwise mostly here during working hours all through the offseason.

I’m guessing name colleges are helpful but in the end it comes down to what kind of worker are you. Is this person profitable for the company?
