Let's be honest, Josh probably has 5 good seasons left

Top end QBs last till at least 40. Qbs that tend to rely on running only are early to mid 30s -
If we are talking about these two, Cook is done here in my opinion. The second you go public with contract demands and take it out of house that fast after one decent not spectacular year, you have made yourself bigger than the team. However if he lead us to a super bowl win it might be different. We don't need him here and now he has made himself a distraction. Milano has been an all-pro and has not said anything (granted he is always injured).

Bills hire Jason Rebrovich as assistant defensive line coach
Billzgobowlin replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
With the DB coach hire, Ryan Nielsen and Rebrovich it looks like McDermott is bringing in reinforcements. I find it interesting that absolutely no one has been fired on the defensive side. Let's see if Pellegrino can help him -
Bills scored more points than any other team this season..

This is a very interesting take. Is it the drafting of talent or the coaching? There is some talent there but doesn't seem to have consistency. Rousseau, Epenesa and Oliver show flashes of dominance but they don't show up every week. They have only one coach on the line and he doesn't have a lot of experience on the pro level. I think a Kromer-type hire who knows how to sculpt the offensive line and knows what player he is looking for will help a lot. I think he is integral in Torrence being a beast and the maturation of Spencer Brown. Maybe this is what this Ryan Nielsen hire is about because he has a lot of experience on the line. Reading some about Nielsen is very interesting and might be a highly underrated hire and not to change philosophy as it is his ability to coach a dline https://www.jaguars.com/news/six-things-jaguars-fans-should-know-about-their-defensive-coordinator-ryan-nielsen -
He has been mocked mid-first round to high second round

Anyone else for using our draft capital for trades?
Billzgobowlin replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think drafting has been much better than thought. Of all the players on our Conference Championship losing team 35 of 53 are drafted here and the most effective players are ones drafted by us. Consider also we draft always on the back end of every round in the draft. I would say if anything our pro personnel department needs an upgrade. -
Does he want to? Most typical #1 receivers get the volume but can not consistently catch the ball. A player like Shakir has a high completion percentage. Look at someone like Diggs or Amari and they are generally in the 50-60%. Shakir I'm thinking is more in the 80% range.

When Kromer left or O line fell apart. It took him a year when he came back but it is coaching and making the players the best they can be. I wish there was a D line coach that could work that line the way Kromer could the O line. If we could we would have multiple Super Bowls, refs or not. You don't take Aaron Donald or Chris Jones off the field either

This league has been different since Goodell has been in charge. Also Music City Miracle has to be the most vivid in my mind. Dumbfounds me that they still try to defend that being the right call

Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
Billzgobowlin replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
No but position coaches especially on Dline need to be better -
Only championships came with a white helmet. Time to modify and go with a black or blue helmet. Start doing what the Commanders have done with their color schemes

Also add the several missed hip drop tackles, should be a textbook call since a couple were egregious. I think in general the refs make me angry by their overall smugness. Other than this travesty of a game the head ref walking over to Allen on the bench (I forget which game) and scolds Allen and the Commanders game where they specifically say they can award points to the Eagles. When was that ever something they could do and even if they could why do they feel they need to say it. Totally unnecessary especially with the game pretty much done. My observation is that this is the new NFL since Goodell took over. The Patriots dynasty even with all the cheating, the tuck rule, the Steelers-Seahawks super bowl, the no playoffs losses since Taylor Swift has been dating Kelce for the Chiefs. It is calculated and purposefully decided before hand. Heck they had a Chiefs commercial about them going to the super bowl with a couple of minutes left in the game. Missed calls happen all the time and certainly refs aren't perfect but when you review a catch that showed without a shadow of a doubt that the Chiefs player at no time had possession of a ball that was loose when it hit the ground. They didn't mess up that call they flat out show who they want to win. My wife asked me on the last drive if I think if Kincaid caught the ball on the last play for the Bills if the they would have still lost and I said they would have called something. I have no clue what the last flag was about but obviously wasn't in the Bills favor, what would they have called? This is definitely a grief response. The totality of the season shows we have the right crew. The Chiefs essentially 15-1 in regular season and 2-0 in the postseason. They are 1-1 against the Bills. The Bills have had a few tough moments this year but imagine us people calling for Levy's head during the super bowl era?

The Chiefs are always one step ahead of the Bills...
Billzgobowlin replied to Awwufelloff's topic in The Stadium Wall
There was many ebbs and flows to the game. If we were given a couple of spots I think you would have a different mindset of the Bills Offense. They played well against a strong defense. This year only one team (unless you consider the Chiefs last game) has scored 28 or more points against the Chiefs and they did it twice. That team would be your Buffalo Bills. Only one team legitimately beat the Chiefs and it wasn't close. Brady and Babich are fine where they are and they will continue to get better. I guess you could go back to the Dorsey days since he is still available.... -

Very convincing argument. You changed my mind lol. He has shown flashes of top end talent with some difficult catches and the ability to high point the ball. He is by far not a finished product but there is a good bit of talent there.
