  1. Drew Sanders Steve Avila (trade down scenario)
  2. No question. trade Oliver for him and sign him to an extension to minimize cap hit this year. use the savings from Oliver's per year to sign a DT and/or draft one.
  3. Hi size is nowhere near. Puz was barely 6'2" 235. Campbell is huge - 6'5" 250. His numbers were a pleasant surprise for his size. He had the highest athleticism ranking at the combine for LBs. Still, he'll be there in the 2nd.
  4. Bills are looking to trade up. At least that is the word on the streets. It won't be for Drew Sanders, but more likely someone they love at OT or DE - premium positions - that is falling. If we stay put it could be Sanders, but more likely we wait until the 2nd
  5. This is always one of my favorite topics. I think more than half the time the board consensus would have been better than the GM and personnel experts, despite half the available information. I always think that level of hubris needs to be factored in to BPA and other discussions. Recent examples: - Creed Humphrey over Boogie Basham - Breece Hall over Kaiir Elam There are so many examples from earlier that left everyone scratching their head
  6. Klein will be available if we miss out on the guy we want in the draft At this point, I'm expecting we trade up to get Drew Sanders
  7. Harty and McGovern were both over $2m per. I would have thought they'd cancel out Edmunds to a degree, therefore not resulting in a 3rd rd comp
  8. If Beane is serious about winning the SB and actually has a head on his shoulders, he will figure out how to get DHop on a team-friendly deal. A reliable #2 to consistently move the sticks is what Allen needs. DHop is probably like Von -- willing to get creative with a deal that pushes money down the road to when he retires with his rings. This needs to happen.
  9. J-Phillips should be back, I'd think. He didn't have the best year but gutted it out through a few injuries. I'd like to see him and Shaq back.
  10. Unless we get Bobby Wagner or some other short-term vet, I think Beane has to go LB with the 1st, maybe wait till the 2nd. It's the QB of the D. He then better get some competition at RG and RT, but that can wait until Rd 2-5. I'd also still like to see them add someone to push Gabe Davis on the outside. So if we can fill MLB before the draft, the focus could switch to WR
  11. Isn't Bates penciled in as starting RG? I don't think they'll be moving on from Spencer Brown so soon either. McGovern and Dawkins on the left. Morse at C. Solid backup in Boetger. I think the O-line needs additions, but not as desperately as MLB. I'd say 1st- LB, 2nd-4th - O-line, TE, DT I wouldn't be upset with a stud WR in the 1st, but I don't think it is a greater need at this point than MLB
  12. Harris helps change our offensive identity. We'll have a smash mouth side to us now. We just need a road grader G on the right side to pair with Spencer Brown
  13. Didn't lose a comp pick for Harris. That canceled out Singletary. Edmunds was already canceled out by the McGovern signing.
  14. top GM? magician? sorcerer? idk.... sounds like OBD planted some trolls here.... he did what most analysts said he should do. Letting Edmunds go at that price was prudent, and not letting Poyer also walk was smart. Harty's contract is a little too rich. Where he really needs to hit is the draft, which has been his weakness. We'll see how that pans out. Also curious to see how he fills RB and ILB needs.
  15. I liked Edmunds, but prefer we use that $$ elsewhere, preferably on Offense and get a LB replacement in the draft. Maybe a temp vet fill-in, like David.
  16. I don't think Shakir demonstrated the nuance for the slot yet. You've got to read defenses, feel the zones, make sharp cuts, and make sure you're in the QB's line of sight/throwing window the entire time. It's not easy and he didn't really show improvement as the year progressed. There is a reason they dusted off Beasley. We need a better solution Agree. There are some nice options in the draft like Flowers and Josh Downs that will probably be there in the 2nd
  17. Definitely top 5 and better than the Pitt throw to Davis They also missed the flat footed bomb to Diggs against NE
  18. But not his slot, #3 or #4 WR Bringing back Beasley and him basically starting at slot was an indication where we are at that position. That will be the focus in FA and draft. A guy like Zay Flowers, or Josh Downs would fit the bill. If Beane were wise he'd add an outside WR as well. Davis should be pushed, or at least backed-up with a solid 4th WR
  19. Lots of chatter that he'll run very well and work out well and with his size could go late 1st, despite the lack of production in college
  20. First thing I thought of when I saw this. He brings a SB winner attitude to the offense. Can groom Cook. He was trusted by Brady in pass coverage and as an outlet. He's a powerful runner, can get tough yards, but also still has some juice. He probably won't break the bank as he only wants to play for a winner and will probably take less.
  21. I'm thinking WR/ILB/OL in first three rounds G and WR in FA hopefully re-sign Poyer
  22. What quality DC is going to accept a job for one year?? This is an odd move. If they're serious that he'll be back in 2024 then they'll probably just look to fill his shoes from within. This is so weird its almost dysfunctional.
  23. This is the best logic. While I think Wagner could actually be a short-term improvement, given Edmunds age, you can spread out his guaranteed $$ over say a 7 year contract, with outs later on, so his cap next year is lower than anyone else you could sign. That gives us more room to bring in a FA WR and G. However, really we should look to add a playmaking LB from the draft. You can get fine production from rookie LBs
  24. We need at least two new additions in the WR room. A playmaking outside WR (draft) to push Davis. and a veteran slot maven (Juju SC would look nice).
