  1. Refs didn't tip Chiefs that they were going to call a flag. Oh, poor Patty! He so used to the preferential treatment, he loses it when everything isn't given to them. What a baby
  2. He got lucky last night. Tried to piss the game away again, but got bailed out. Not kicking a FG before the end of the 1st half. Horrible clock management and play calls to close out the game. We were set up to salvage defeat from the jaws of victory again. I have no confidence in this coaching staff or team to win close games.
  3. He was nonexistent today. He dropped at least two screens. Sheffield was in for him again multiple times on key downs. What is going with him and the WR corps more generally?? Was it scheme or is he experiencing a major drop off? Gabe also put up another donut. Josh was struggling all game to find anyone to throw it to.
  4. Jeudy had him burned. if Wilson throws a better pass it's a TD. They should have bluffed the blitz and dropped Hamlin back as deep Safety to stop that. It was 3rd and 10 and they were out of FG range. Even an 8 yd gain would have only yielded a very long FG attempt. It was a foolhardy call. Didn't Gregg Williams get canned a few years ago for doing a zero blitz that lost the game?
  5. I actually felt relieved, as in this loss might bring about desperately needed change. And it did, Dorsey is gone. If we don't turn it around that should just be the start. The Bills and Josh Allen will be a very attractive option for an up and coming offensive HC.
  6. about the only thing good to come from last night. I was actually not that pissed about the loss, as it portended changes. I'm pleasantly surprised McDermott pulled the trigger. Let's hope Brady can right the ship
  7. We'll probably spend our top two picks on DE. Need a new #2. Good thing Gabe is a UFA. Tee Higgins would be nice
  8. Daboll for sure. Dorsey has been a disaster. Glad we ripped that band aid off. McDermott needs to hire a DC so he can focus on the whole team, but don't really miss Frazier. We should bring in a DC next year.
  9. It looked like he pumped it to Diggs underneath and then reloaded and didn't get enough zip on the throw to Davis to fit it in the window. I don't know if that was by design, or on Josh, but given the risk of that throw, you'd like to see Josh commit and step into it. I'm putting that on him. He's done that a few times, targeting Davis.
  10. More talent at WR would mask the inability of our OC to run a good scheme. KC doesn't have that problem, as their coaches are much better than ours. Gabe can't reliably win 1on1 matchups, teams double Diggs, Kincaid and Shakir starting to step-up, but OC still holding us back. Also Mahomes is just better than Josh. It was a crap throw by Allen. Way short. The hitch and re-load probably contributed. If he had narrowed in on Gabe from the start maybe he throws a better hole shot
  11. Agreed on D. Despite all the injuries and easy excuses they keep fighting. The Offense was great first drive and then again late. Was horrible for the entire middle 75% of the game. I'm slightly optimistic that Allen will figure it out and that more trust in Kincaid and Shakir will open things up. Then again, Dorsey is still the OC....
  12. Reason for optimism: Bills were at least competitive against the Bengals, away from home. We looked better than the 49ers for sure. If not for that Kincaid fumble, we were trending toward a win. But that Patriots loss hurts, in particular. I'm hoping we can continue to find the right combos, with Kincaid and Shakir improving. Maybe playoff Lenny will get our run game and championship leadership in place on O....
  13. Long-standing pattern. The amount of draft/FA capital we spend on DE at the expense of other positions.
  14. It's not need that was the problem, it's scouting. The Bills thought he was great and even moved up to get him. He's not great at all and there were plenty of other CBs that went later that are better. Elam was the top CB on their board at the time, so obviously their board was wrong. That said, a lot of people got Elam wrong.
  15. No faith in these coaches
  16. yeah, this is too rich. Beane has over and over again moved up to draft guys that don't work out. You'd think he'd learn from his mistakes...
  17. Throw in Jerry Juedy while you're at it. Bills need at least 2 trade deadline acquisitions
  18. Derrick Carr had a video analysis saying something similar, but he blamed the Bills coaches for not being ready for this and having a game plan. Although it also looked like Allen should have read some of these coverages and hit the right route. I'm not sure Allen has the discipline to do the film work required to consistently analyze and recognize coverage tendencies, or maybe Dorsey is holding him back from doing this more independently and with more responsibility (and time) to check at the line. Or maybe Allen is so dependent on Diggs that he latches on to that first read too long. probably some combo of the three.
  19. Imagine what Josh would do with that lineup - a strong group of pass catchers and runners. Good Oline. Beane has focused too much on D (Von contract, Basham, Epenesa picks) at the expense of the O
  20. Only if Beane wakes up and trades for some talent
  21. Agree. it was a major part of our O. critical weapon for getting 1st downs. It also got Josh in the game and gave him passion, got him in a rhythm. Daboll understood that. Dorsey doesn't
  22. Dorsey sucks. But the WRs suck too. Josh needs a reliable outlet on every play, to account for blitzes. It used to be Beasely, every friggin play. Now, I'm not sure. Hopefully Kincaid can get there. You need to make teams pay for blitzing. Then, you need some real downfield and YAC threats. The talent at pass catcher is really bad.
  23. I tend to agree. As much as I'd still like to see us go all-in this year and get Josh some more weapons, we have a number of D starters that are on the wrong side of their career. We need our draft picks (even though Beane largely wastes them).
  24. I was just thinking this. I remember when the K-Gun started. It was a similar dynamic. The O was consistently humming in 2-min hurry up and middling the rest of the time. Marchibroda made the call to let Kelly go hurry up full-time. I think Dorsey is hamstringing this team and we might try a mix up that lets Josh start cooking and get into a rhythm
  25. Diggs has been playing a lot of slot this year, partially serving in that Beasley go-to role on 3rd down. I'm not sure why other guys like Harty or Shakir haven't emerged, but Allen just doesn't seem to trust them, or they just don't get open on the option routes like Cole used to. Cole can probably still do it and would given Allen another outlet. I saw enough juice in the playoff game to think he can still get it done, in a limited fashion, that would benefit the team. Unlike the Giants we don't really have a youth movement at WR and we're in win now mode. https://www.buffalobills.com/video/cole-beasley-takes-allen-s-quick-pass-for-29-yards-bills-vs-dolphins-playoffs \
