  1. 34 years old coming off a middle of the pack season. He'll help but I don't see a whole lot to be excited about. Would be better if he had some young talent to mentor while here. This is a patch for a year, doesn't solve anything but a lot better than nothing. Glowinski is 4 years younger and playing better, Giants will have him for a few years to come at a reasonable rate. I was hoping for something more than a fading veteran for a year, especially considering the Bills have no young talent at the position. That means a lot, right? Last year was not his best season as a pro. He was above average at best. The Pro Bowl designation is a joke. The Bills Pro Bowl linebacker is one of the weakest players on their defense.
  2. I don't underestimate the impact NYC has on the state's economy, I just think saying the rest of the state is on par with WV and NM is a pretty big exaggeration.
  3. We would dive out of the Cargill grain elevator's ~60 ft window into Lake Erie at the foot of Tifft street. The water was pretty disgusting there. A friend and I each did a 1 1/2 off the high tower at Sherkston quarry in Canada, also around 60 ft I think. In the spring after the blizzard of 77 we rode giant icebergs down Caz Creek when the ice started to flow. Insanely stupid and dangerous. I'm amazed I survived my crazy South Buffalo childhood.
  4. He is still great and will get some good offers no doubt. He might not be looking for the highest offer though, a shot at winning another title could be a higher priority.
  5. Engram has 31 dropped passes over his first 5 years, most in the league in that time I believe. His 4.43 speed at 240 lbs is so enticing, kind of like Edmunds incredible potential, but if you aren't catching the ball .....
  6. Really? The NFLs lawyers while defending a lawsuit in court claimed that the league was purely 'sports entertainment', not unlike the WWE. So much for the sanctity of the results. "I know a lot of people don't want to hear this, but the NFL went to court, and legally said themselves the NFL is not a sport. It is in fact an entertainment business." 'The NFL is a private business so it is entirely legal for it to pre-determine the outcome of its games, just as the WWE does. Ultimately, it need be no different than a scripted television series or movie.' 'Since the NFL argues that they are "entertainment" , than they are in charge of the outcome of their own games and can "produce" their television product' 'Entertainment not Sport' Your sanctity of results is an illusion that people don't want to look at very closely, like many widely accepted things in society. Most people would rather continue pretending than know the truth about things they don't want to admit.
  7. Advanced receiving stats at Pro Football Reference https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/receiving_advanced.htm Passer rating when targeted is simply the total results of Beasley's targets using whatever the passer rating formula is. I think he's still good enough to play a couple more years. I just think because of a combination of many factors it won't be on the Bills. I don't see it as any major loss either at this point in his career. He had a good career resurgence in Buffalo and I think it was a good move for both sides. Time to move on imo.
  8. His first down %/trgt is the lowest among all Bills wrs. Allen's passer rating when targeting Beasley is the lowest among all Bills wrs. He'll be 33 this year. Goodbye Cole
  9. I don't follow the Cowboys at all so I don't know anything about Cooper's effort or love for the game. I have seen him absolutely dominate a few games over the last few years. I've also seen him completely disappear at times. A 6'2" 210lb outside wr with 4.43 speed is definitely something the Bills need.
  10. He won't have a contract to restructure if he's released. He'll be free to sign with any team for whatever amount.
  11. I think the college version is basically fair. The NFL could improve upon it by starting possessions at midfield so fgs aren't a given and 2 pt tries after every TD to break tie quicker.
  12. I'm hoping for someone to contribute right away. Filling a position of need would be nice if it aligns well with best player available. I didn't see him listed but if Kenyon Green Texas A&M G/T is there at 25 that would be my pick. I'm okay with them moving down for more picks in the 2nd 3rd or 4th. I'm thinking that is where this drafts' value is, the first round is not real impressive value wise imo.
  13. Hard to believe some people want that scumbag on the Bills. ***** him, he should harassed out of Buffalo every time he visits. His elbow cast smash of Tres head way after the play was unforgivable. He should have been suspended multiple games. I'll be thoroughly disgusted if he is ever on the Bills.
  14. The Bills #1 defense faced the lowest qbr group of qbs since QBR was invented in 2006. The worst group of qbs faced by any team since 2006. Factor that into the Bills defensive stats and the #1 defense is more of an illusion. The fact that the Bills supposedly had the best defense makes the unbelievably soft d at the end of the Chiefs game even more embarrassing and weak. The numbers said #1 defense, my eyes told me different.
  15. Hard to say when I became a fan, I was born into it. Being the 6th kid and 4th boy the football games were a big deal every Sunday. My dad, my brothers, my grandma and grandpa from both sides and my uncle and cousins who lived a block away would gather in our finished basement in South Buffalo and it would get loud. I can't say what my first Bills memory was but I remember meeting Elbert Dubenion and Ernie Warlick with my uncle when I was 3 or 4. I saw my first game in '71 at the Rockpile (hence the 'Turk 71' handle), it was the only game they won that season. ☺
  16. According to the NFLs own statements in court you are watching 'sports entertainment'. Like the WWE, the NFL stated they are in the entertainment business producing an entertainment product. This is not to say the games are fixed, however the NFL has clearly stated they would be within their rights to do so.
  17. Measured by total QBR the Bills faced the worst group of qbs this season that any team has faced since 2006 when the stat was created. The difference between expected wins based on their schedule and their actual wins was the largest deficit in the league. In other words the Bills played an historically bad collection of qbs this season and underachieved. It's hard for me to consider this season a step forward when they played such an easy schedule and then lost the biggest game in such a humiliatingly incompetent manner. The path to SB victory may not ever be as easy as it was this year. Individual players took steps forward but as a team it was sideways for me, hopefully next year is the big step forward.
  18. 42 points, 552 yards, 8 of 13 on 3rd down, 30 first downs and a 10 minute advantage in time of poss. and the defensive problem wasn't coaching except for the 13 seconds? Really? The Bills defensive scheme the entire game was a scared and embarrassing homage to the greatness of Mahomes. The weak and scared defensive scheme just bowed before him and conceded yardage all night long showing no faith in the players to challenge and beat them. The result was the Chiefs offense had their best game of the year and the Bills suffered one of the most embarrassing and humiliating defeats in NFL playoff history. This is not hyperbole, it's what happened. Cinci, whose defense was considered far inferior to Buffalo's, challenged them and conceded nothing to their greatness. The result was only 24 points, 375 yards, the Bengals leading t of poss by 6 minutes and now heading to the SB instead of the Bills. The Bills played one of the top 3 easiest schedules in the league last season and only faced a few good qbs all year. The soft bend don't break d works fine against lousy qbs who can't sustain drives but Frazier makes no adjustment for qbs who can. This type of d is not only ineffective against good qbs it allows time consuming drives that keep Allen off the field. The goal should be to give Allen as many possessions and to score as many points as possible. Lastly, as a fan and spectator, that soft nonaggressive defense is just horrible to watch. 'The Death of a Thousand Cuts' I call it.
  19. His greatest asset is still his potential. It's been 4 years and people are still talking about his potential, I don't hear anyone mentioning game changing plays. When does he start making plays? When does he stop looking lost and just instinctively follow the play and flow to the ball? What amazes me about this guy is the polarity of takes on his play. PFF consistently rates him very poorly year after year. I watch him play and I can't figure out why people think he is good. Is he out of position? I've thought from the very beginning that the middle is not the right place for him. His skills seem better suited to the outside, but he's not a good pass rusher either. If you watch him blitz he is very rarely effective. He is more a physical specimen than a great football player. I would much prefer to have a great football player in the middle running the defense than a physical freak with great potential.
  20. It sounds like a 10 year old picked the name.
  21. My prediction: The Bengals won't be able to run the ball and Burrow will be running for his life. The Rams will win by 10 if Stafford doesn't ***** the bed.
  22. Rams win SB by 10+ Not that the Rams are any juggernaut but I don't think Cinci has much of a chance. They won't be able to run and their o line will get destroyed all game.
  23. what a lame play call should be an exciting finish though
