He flat out didn't want to be here and most definitely didn't give his best efforts his final year here (Jimmy Graham hurdle, TNF arm tackles vs Jets to name a few). He was definitely one of my favorite players up until his contract year with us - aside from that year, he was solid but not great in his tenure here. Anyone trying to discredit his skills is bitter more than anything else.

I'm a little surprised he wanted to come back after getting rocked with that concussion as he was in the midst of retirement. Ideally, he'll not have to take a single snap on the field for us this next year, and *insert cliches about being a mentor*

He's my favorite pre-draft guy and he's done a pretty good job with mocks through the years, though - Wentz > Goff, Mack > Clowney, thinking Kamara could be a first rounder to name a few off the top of my head. I don't know about his pro evaluation or how he'd fare in the deeper rounds, but it would definitely be an intriguing hire.

Colts - Frank Reich (enough said) and Andrew Luck having doubts about his career continuing Chiefs - Andy Reid, best coach in NFL history without a ring, and lots of firepower that's fun to watch Chargers - Rivers is the contemporary Jim Kelly and Anthony Lynn is the man If any of these teams knock out NE, I'm going to root for them all the way (or whoever else could beat them)

If Ross is really trying to clean house with Gase, Tannenbaum, and Grier, I'm not so sure Schoen would be atop his radar. Brian Gaine was brought back into Houston but he had familiarity with O'Brien and the roster's best players have been unchanged as they approach contention.

Thing is, Eric left before the draft and Incognito also had his issues before that time. We knew we needed to upgrade the position but Teller was the highest we invested into the picks we had left (fewer due to trading up)

Ozzie is actually stepping down I believe into a lesser scouting role while the guy under his wings all these years is taking over Now with them removing a Qb that had them cap strapped since that SB run forever ago they should be okay

Ultimately, I hope the guy is alright and he gets the help he needs for what is now life after football. Also, most of us were in unison the Browns were ripped off in this trade... He's shown time and time again he can't get away from any red flags, so it was pretty evident this guy couldn't be trusted.

Cam isn't consistently accurate, but he never missed short like he has this game. His throwing motion was awful and he got shut down about two weeks too late. Whether or not that was Ron (as most believe) or Cam's decision to try and stick it out for their team is unknown.

There's already reports out there that Steve Wilks is a goner after this offseason...not necessarily surprising, but still one heck of a headline. Fans/media say he didn't maximize his players' talents and chose his scheme over the provided personnel (a 4-3 defense with a bunch of 3-4 pieces) along with basically having no idea how to develop a rookie QB (lol at him coming in against the bears down by a score with a few minutes left) or use their best player on offense (DJ). With Pat Peterson wanting to get out of there and for good reason, it makes Larry feel even more saintly than he already has been It's not entirely similar, but the square-peg-in-a-round-hole style is definitely reminiscent of how things went down with us and Rex. I wouldn't have been opposed to cutting our losses after one year, either, so credit to Arizona for having the guts to quickly admit their mistake and try and salvage what they can. Making another analogy, Josh Rosen could have a good opportunity to go from terrible to great coaching like Goff to help and turn his career around.

The $10M/year rumors came out after Jauron got fired (his tenure from 06-mid 09) when Mike Shanahan was also available. Cowher did definitely recommend Gailey when we reached out to him.

We won't beat NE so the best we'll do is 6-10 and will be in good enough position for a player we'll really like.
