  1. Do you think they'd want 2018 Keenum at any price? They have cousins on a short-term deal at relatively fair market value. The Vikes won't have time to regret the deal. It's not like they gave him a Cutler deal. He was the only QB in the league that was available that could keep their Super Bowl window open. I'm sure they would have preferred Rodgers, but you can't always get what you want. Wouldn't be shocked at all to see the Vikes use a 1rst/2nd on a QB who ends up starting when Cousins deal is up, and that may have been the fallback all along. Even if the Jets got Cousins, they were probably taking Darnold too..
  2. Right, but is that really a skill? McDermott talked about NP's great command of the huddle, too. Unless your name is Billy Joe Hobert, I would expect every QB in the league to know the plays and be able to quickly call them. In my eyes it's kind of a "I thought we punted well" sort of statement about a player.
  3. If Zay or Robert Foster are anywhere near your fantasy team, you might as well bench the rest of your team, because you've already lost.
  4. What exactly would this person do day to day? If your GM can't handle whatever those responsibilities are, why are they your GM? What makes someone have a strong "command of the huddle" and how does that translate into winning football games? I've heard this everywhere regarding a ton of teams the last year, and virtually never before that.
  5. Yet the viking didn't make him the best offer available. Your corporate overlords thank you for your unsuccessful support, however.
  6. If he started playing today, he'd probably be a star. The league wasn't ready for him and tried to make him something he wasn't. kinda like Randall Cunningham.
  7. I don't think you know what a millennial is.
  8. The odds of the Bills (3-7) going undefeated the rest of the way are about the same as the Bengals scoring a touchdown in the closing seconds of a game? I'd take that bet.
  9. Not guaranteed. If you listen to Bell's agent, which you should, the guaranteed money was the sticking point. NFL contracts are usually only in favor of the employer. They get to lock you in at the negotiated rate, even if you drastically outperform, and they can release you for little to no real cash commitment whenever they please. B they also have the ability to go after your signing bonus money if you're forced to retire because you got hurt on the job. If Bell gets a 5 year deal at $15m a year with high guaranteed money, in his mind that makes up for losing 14.5m this year. I get the argument from people on max value, but you also haven't shredded a knee with an annual value of $15-20m. Ask DeMarco Murray about his free agent payday.
  10. Your one note anti-worker stance had been heard loud and clear. You've failed to make any other significant point to help your cause. The simple fact is that Bell is going to get a wheelbarrow full of money after the season, and whether it's jealousy or spite, you aren't happy about it. Cool. No one cares but you. You're also wrong on at least 3 different levels. Have a nice night
  11. The Bucs have the #1 offense and we're 31rst. #funfacts
  12. Barkley. Allen looks good holding that clipboard.
  13. It's a shame there's a 0% chance that Tre is in the mix because his team has 3 wins. Gotta at least make the playoffs if you want individual honors in the NFL. Selfishly, it probably saves a few million on his next deal though.
  14. Well, it sounds like you probably aren't in the top 3 in the world at what you do, or else they wouldn't risk firing you. Maybe you should focus on improving your skills? I've put the onus on management to pay me more a couple of times in my career. Once they didn't take me seriously and I signed a "free agent deal" elsewhere for max value. Just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it wrong. In fact, it's very very right. The money exists, and so someone's going to get it. Always look out for #1. http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/steelers/2018/07/17/Le-Veon-Bell-Adisa-Bakari-Steelers-franchise-tag-running-back/stories/201807170123 The story above is why you don't go into research trying to prove a point, but trying to figure out what the real story is. need more info? About halfway through 2015.
  15. I went to games all throughout the drought at the end of hopeless seasons when it was too cold and pointless for other family members to go. It was always a great idea. I don't remember quite a few of them, because those games were all about having a good time. One of those games was against the Jets and I was more excited to see Vinny Testaverde than the Bills. At least now you could watch some young players with hope, maybe even Allen.
  16. In your dream scenario that includes Belichick and McVay, you picked McDermott to be your D coordinator? I just... But why?
  17. Have you ever been tested?
  18. He took a winless team undefeated since he started.
  19. I'm thinking it might be something else. Players demand trades in hockey and baseball too. Why isn't that a problem?
  20. Brady has $217 million in career earnings so far. Le'veon bell has $16 million. You couldn't have used a worse example.
  21. Yea, because they're incompetent. You need game breaking players, and several of them to win in this league. I get it, he's a clown because he's protecting his career. Keep stumping for the owners and maybe they'll give you some table scraps. What do you think about Bosa quitting school to save himself for the draft?
  22. The cap keeps going up and it's gotta go to somebody. If you're the best in class at what you do, you should be paid accordingly. Unless theyre going to start reducing ticket/NFL Sunday ticket costs, I don't see the cap falling anytime soon. I think they need to raise the rookie minimum wage so that if you get drafted at all, you have just about enough money for the rest of your life.
  23. They don't need 9. They need two serviceable, not great guards (maybe 1 if teller works out) 1 WR minimum, and an RB that has explosive ability. If they go into next season with just a 31 year old McCoy, they'll need a lot more receiving help.
  24. The Bowns trotted out this stud lineup in '09: Brady Quinn (1-2); Derek Anderson (3-6); Ken Dorsey (0-3); Bruce Gradkowski (0-1) Scary to say they were all better than who we have now, including Anderson.
  25. If this was a tank, you give Beane a raise. If this is him trying to win, you show him the door. Hopefully this is all just PR nonsense, and there's a wink and a smile behind closed doors. If not, this scares the hell out of me, and there's no way I trust them with signing bloated 5 year deals for next year's version of Trent Murphy. Speaking of, if they don't exercise the year one out they have on that deal this offseason, that tells us all we need to know going into 2019.
