Cover 1:. 5 Reasons Lamar Jackson is the Bills Target

This was/is a fantastic post JM57 Overall TD's Mayfield 153 (48 starts) 3.2 TD's per game Jackson 119 (38 starts) 3.1 TD's per game Rudolph 95 (42 starts) 2.3 TD's per game Rosen 65 (30 starts) 2.2 TD's per game Darnold 64 (27 starts) 2.4 TD's per game Allen 57 (25 starts) 2.3 TD's per game For Fun: Overall TD's T.Taylor 67 (50 starts) 1.3 TD's per game (Look familiar to the pro level? He had 1.2 TD's per game last year with us) The TT to Lamar Jackson comparisons are so friggin dumb on these boards and lazy. Imagine having a QB last year that averaged 3TD's (running or throwing on our team). Think about it TBD'ers..... -

I love the Air-Raid Baker ran at Oklahoma. He can run a RPO, can make reads and execute quick pass options. We might need some better pass blocking from the TE and FB positions though to help him if we went this route. Rosen is still hands down my #1 guy as he can run a pro style, spread or just about any offense scheme all day. This guy is legit from the pocket and can make all the throws, cannon of a arm. His injury history is my biggest concern though. How about yourself? I really liked this Rosen article from Fox that came from FANSIDED. Was a really well done piece.. https://www.foxsports.com/college-football/story/ucla-football-is-josh-rosen-a-sure-fire-franchise-quarterback-053017 -

So OJ and Flutie = both were decent players. Are we allowed to say that about OJ here? It reminds me of the time I brought up Hitler when on a trip in Germany. -

TY-TY I googled Bruce and there was a Bruce Smith for the Viks that won it in 1941. Sorry off topic but was interesting. -

TT might have been the mold they wanted all along and why they let him play last year? IDK, TT left way to many plays on the field slip by and the McD system did not agree with it any longer. I'm excited to see which direction we go on 4/26 and will buy into what they do. -

This is not to boost Jackson but a honest question. Have the Bills ever had a Heisman trophy winner before? -
Closest NFL comparison to Mason Rudolph... Tom Brady

LOL let the Jets fail then In their defense they have a nice Bridge scenario for whomever they bring in. -
Closest NFL comparison to Mason Rudolph... Tom Brady

This is where I see him as well and prob would most benefit from sitting behind a Ben, Brady, Brees or Smith a couple years. The same also applies to J.Allen IMO. I personally think we need a more sure fire option right now. If we did say take Allen or Mason and try to plug them in right away we would most likely break them as they need some time to develop. I can't wait until 4/26 draft day... -
just take jackson and keep picks

Did you happen to see who his RB's, TE's and WR's were for the Cardinals? Jaylen Smith might get drafted as he was decent and has good size. I was not pretty. -

I respect your opinion man. I can see him going 2nd - 3rd, I have a feeling the Pats might try and snag him as well. -

It says can win not can't? The part I highlighted is the upside that makes him interesting. He seems to be getting better and better and no one truly knows his ceiling. How can anyone say average to below average starter when his ceiling is not defined? Look, I'm not a Mason ball washer, he sits around 5th or 6th for me. You can't deny his upside. -

My personal stock for this kid has rose a ton over the last week doing my own little research. This article is pretty much spot on to the conclusion I had during that research. He jumped to #3 for me a couple days ago and I would be happy to see him in a Bills Uni all day. 1. Rosen 2. Mayfield 3. Jackson or BUST....... -
Closest NFL comparison to Mason Rudolph... Tom Brady
Real McClappy replied to Troll Toll's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's due to the Bottom line I highlighted below. BOTTOM LINE Pocket quarterback with good size who has shown consistent improvement as a passer. Rudolph is more of a downfield, play-action passer than a quarterback who can win with precision and arm strength. He's a capable field reader who has the ability to operate with timing which will be important since his arm can be dull at times. Rudolph could be an early backup with the potential of becoming an average to below average starter in the league. -

This is right where I'm at as well. I will trust the decision of McD and Beane is they decide to gamble or roll the dice on this kid. -

That is the debate and what our FO/Scouts need to determine. SIze = both 6'5 40's = both around 4.8 Weight = Mason is currently 235 and Ben coming out I think was 241. -

His scouting reports coming out of college are better than Brady's. This is were the OP is trying to make some comparison. I do not think Mason will ever be Brady personally. I do feel he has upside to Big Ben as the physical traits are there. -

Funny how it's the OP's 1st post on the board and he get's blown up or trolled by the "VET's" here for sharing his opinion. I like Mason as well, he has a ton of upside. If we can't land Rosen or Baker I have no problem if McD or Beane take him or Jackson. It's all out of our hands. -

Jackson ran the exact same offense in college that our New OC will run. I'm not sold on your first paragraph. -

You know Jackson had 2K more passing yards in 13 less games in college over Tyrod? Ohh, and 25 more passing TDs, along with 2K more rushing yards. All in 13 less games, but you know Jackson sucks. Tyrod wishes he could be Jackson. -
