  1. Thanks for putting this together. I think it's a really interesting conversation. Only one big area I disagree on. 9 receptions is waaaaay too low for Hollins. Yes, he's the forgotten man, but I think he's only forgotten by this message board and most of Bills Mafia. I think he's going to start many 21 Personnel sets as the Heavy X receiver. In other words, if it's a running down (any short yardage down), I can imagine Brady wanting Hollins as the boundary receiver. He's a great blocker and has sure hands. Imagine what they can do with 2 TE on the field AND Hollins potentially motioning inside as an extra blocker. Play action passes to the X out of this formation is good for 10-15 receptions alone. Who would I take from? Curtis Samuel. 70 would be his second highest reception total in 7 years and there are more mouths to feed in this offense than Carolina and Washington.
  2. I think the part of everyone's brain that's broken is the assumption that most teams have 4-5 All Star players. There are 32 teams in the NFL. That means every team has on average, 3 star players. Historically, we have had 3+: Josh Diggs Milano, Tre, Poyer, Hyde, etc. in their prime This is the first year in a while that we can't say it. Most teams DO NOT have two top 10 or even top 20 players. Law of averages, it just doesn't happen. Beane is great and has found plenty of elite talent, we're just in a tough year.
  3. Happy he got his degree, but I feel like Lawyer's mom won't rest until passes the bar exam. She made it pretty clear with the name.
  4. This is very eloquently stated! "Frustrated energy to win a championship" is a great way of summarizing how he might have had good intentions and is usually a good teammate, but still found a way to bring the culture down through his own intensity. Kind of reminds me of Dorsey. He was so focused on being "low positive" to bring his own intensity down, that he brought Josh's intensity down with it. I'm a very excitable person that feeds off of people's energy. I can feel the same genetic predisposition in Josh. Something I haven't thought about until this moment -- it's incredibly important to surround Josh with the right type of energy at all times. We saw the turnaround with Brady and I hope we see the same with a new, more positive and collaborative WR core.
  5. I don't think there was ever a problem between Josh and Diggs. It seems clear to me, at least. The problem was with Diggs and the coaching staff. Maybe it's McDermott, maybe it was Dorsey and Brady, maybe he just didn't fit the team-first mentality. You heard a lot about it, vaguely, by McDermott slipping and saying he's "very concerned" or Dorsey saying "no one player is bigger than the team" or Josh having to step up during the OTA fiasco and say "some players are special and should be treated that way." You could feel it. That's why he's gone. A million times over, I'm thrilled that we got a (probably) high 2nd round pick for him. I'm also thrilled we don't have to deal with this media fire that Diggs loved to throw gasoline on constantly. That was his choice, just like it was in Minnesota and I think culturally, the staff were happy to move on.
  6. The easiest way to determine which posters really understand this team is to ask them their opinion on Dawson Knox. Correct: The Bills paid Dawson Knox $15M ... then they drafted Dalton Kincaid in the 1st round. Dawson is an "in-line" blocker and Dalton Kincaid is not. If that's too hard to understand, I'll put it this way. Dalton Kincaid is a big Wide Receiver. The Bills run more 2 TE sets than any team in the NFL, simply because Dalton Kincaid is considered a Tight End, who usually plays off the line. Dawson Knox took a pay cut this offseason and is by all accounts going to be here a long time. Incorrect: Dawson Knox is not a backup. Dawson Knox's value is not just catching passes. Dawson Knox is very, very unlikely to be traded or cut.
  7. Despite his prowess in the skill, the guy can’t seem to hold his job. 😏
  8. I'm really pulling for the kid. Would be huge for him and the Bills if he finds his way. I'm also a huge Brandon Beane fan. Both being said, I can't understand why we would trade up in the first round to take a guy who doesn't know Zone and struggles in space. We have the tremendous benefit of having a consistent, established defensive scheme for 7 years. We didn't we just pick a guy who actually fits it?
  9. They have Keon Coleman at 750 and Rome Odunze at 700. Its about opportunity, not talent. Trying to force a correlation here is embarrassing.
  10. Happy to define PPR. It simply stands for “Points Per Reception.” In 0 PPR leagues, players gain points by scoring touchdowns and total yards. In 1 PPR leagues, players gain 1 point for each reception, in addition to gaining points by scoring touchdowns and total yards. In both leagues, it seems like Keon is significantly undervalued, considering most budgets are $200, teams roster 16 players, and he’s going for a buck or two. But hey, the guy loves a discount!
  11. For those who play Fantasy Football, I think this might be a fun topic, given the massive uncertainty surrounding offensive targets this year. Below are the current aggregate Bills Auction Draft values along with their positional ranking, given a $200 budget: 0 PPR: Josh Allen $24 (2nd) James Cook $31 (13th) Ty Johnson $0 (73rd) Ray Davis $0 (74th) Dalton Kincaid $8 (11th) Keon Coleman $1 (53rd) Curtis Samuel $0 (60th) Khalil Shakir $0 (64th) 1.0 PPR: Josh Allen $24 (2nd) James Cook $28 (15th) Ty Johnson $0 (70th) Ray Davis $0 (76th) Dalton Kincaid $11 (10th) Keon Coleman $3 (52nd) Curtis Samuel $2 (59th) Khalil Shakir $0 (63rd) Who do you plan on targeting? Personally, I'm loving seeing Ray Davis, Keon Coleman, Dalton Kincaid and Khalil Shakir so undervalued. Go Bills.
  12. Orlovsky is typically higher on the Bills than most. We love it and it's a smart move because Josh will find a way to make his weapons work, which will prove Orlovsky right more often than not. I still think we could benefit from a few more weapons on Offense, but it might come in the form of another stud LG in the offseason or another boundary receiver. I'm happy with this year, but even more excited when we carry the same players into next year and add a bit more.
  13. Roll the $10M of cap space over to next year so we have $30M in space and a ton of draft picks. ::ducks and braces for impact::
  14. This is fantastic news for us on many levels. If his hold-out lasts through camp, he likely won't be in rhythm when the Bills play Fins Week 2. It also increases the chances the Dolphins overpay him even more... which is great for a mediocre player.
  15. At night means both teams deal with the same elements (if any). Not one side baking in the heat while the other sits in the shade. Literally best case scenario. This also increases the chances we get Dolphins late in Buffalo in the elements.
  16. We would get two 3rd round comp picks for that. GOOD LUCK out there Mr. Gray!
  17. Unpopular opinion: celebrating the injury of a 1st rounder drafted 28 overall shows nothing but penis envy towards the Chiefs. We shouldn't care about him. We also shouldn't care that the Bills traded their pick with the Chiefs. If Worthy was incredible in camp or the first couple weeks of the season, sure, be upset. Until then, this is just sad to witness.
  18. None of the options you presented - WR via trade and restructure.
  19. Very in-depth interview that was just posted. Hope you all enjoy it! 47 minutes, so I think it deserves its own thread:
  20. OR, make it extremely complicated Move McGovern to C Move Dawkins to LG Move ... I don't know, somebody else to LT ... Anyway, you get the point, just move everybody. Git er done TBD!
  21. So, just aggregating the posts above and adding in comp picks, expected 2025 draft picks as of today: 1st round (1) 2nd round (2) 3rd round (1) 4th round (3) 5th round (2) 6th round (2, possibly 3) Wow
  22. Yup. Hope we’re all wrong.
  23. More loser talk. The Bills were 13 seconds away from beating the Chiefs in the playoffs, then two years later they were 2-3 plays away. There is not a huge fundamental gap between them. They're not blowing us out. I don't know why some fans insist on acting like the Chiefs have every answer and the Bills have none. Their Hall of Fame Tight End is 34 years old. We have an elite one (or two) in their mid 20's. They drafted a WR we didn't want. Their other WR is going to be suspended. Who else do they have to throw to? We have plenty of picks to get young weapons of our own. The Chiefs don't "own" the Bills, they've just beat us in close games in the playoffs. We beat them in their own home multiple times. Just chill out and stay positive.
  24. I think we might trade down again. Gut instinct is Beane wants two 2nd round picks to go WR/WR bang, bang, then spend another pick in the late 2nd early 3rd on safety.
