His column was always a must read for me. A very gifted writer with interesting opinions. I did get the sense that his passion for the game wasn’t as high as it used to be though so I’m glad he’s hanging it up in that sense. I like how he gave some shout outs to some good young writers in his retirement announcement.

Right and she’d wipe out Biden in the general if she was the nominee. Trump vs. Biden is like predicting heads vs. tails. It just frustrates me that the GOP base might phluck it up and we get four more years of Biden. At least the Dems were wise enough to stop Bernie from winning the nominee in 2020. They just seem to me like a better organized party. -

Again. What specific positions is Trump policy wise more conservative than Haley? To run as an Independent you need to be able to appeal to a wide base of people. -

I'm apathetic to who wins but on what specific issues is Trump more conservative than Haley? I read her platform and she's about as conservative as they come. -

She's not running as an Independent. Her positions are more conservative than Trump's in a lot of areas. -
The only memory I have of him is picking off Cutler at home and returning it for good yardage. I'm pretty sure he recovered his own fumble on the return or maybe that was EJ Gaines. Either way, these stories are too depressing for me to read.

My guess would be OT with Jonah Williams likely gone. They have a lot of money in Burrow and need to protect him given his injury history.

Chiefs won the trade in the same way if they would've traded their Tesla stock for Apple stock to the Bills in 2000. Both made out well but the Chiefs made out slightly better. -

He gets it. Also, FWIW there wasn't a team that touched Araiza until all the legal issues (including civil) were completely cleared for those that think the Bills should've stood by him. The Jets gave him a tryout but decided to go with the infamous 37 year old butt punter in Thomas Morestead.

Martin won Special Teams player of the month from the start of December to the end of the regular season in January.

Which is pry why he was the third punter drafted in that class. If you have faith in your punt coverage and want the maximum potential to flip the field he's your guy. Definitely more risky to give up the big returns though.

Yes. The Von Miller and Matt Araiza situations were exactly the same. Brilliant stuff here as usual.

He could be remembered as the best QB to never make a Super Bowl. His competition would be Fouts, Rivers, and Moon. Romo's disqualified because he's too annoying of an announcer. -
Townsend is one of the best punter's in the league so it will probably be a downgrade. I get why this is significant news though as it ventures into societal issues/debates outside football.

Thought they might bring him in to compete with Martin even though Martin finished the year off strong. I wonder if Beane brings in another young punter or they just don't bother like they did last training camp.

Not surprising now that the legal issues are behind him. Townsend's contract's up so maybe they don't want to pay to keep him.
