    No. Bad teams pay aging veterans who don't have much juice left for what they did in the past. We paid Allen twice for what he did in the past because we projected he'll only get better in the future. Are you trying to argue Beane should've signed Cook to a larger contract?

    He didn't do enough to this point in his career to earn $15m per year. It's why an $11.5m/year with a contract that's easy to get out of after 2026 was more reasonable. If he stays healthy (which is a big ask of RB's) he'll get top of the market money a few years from now. Then the pay a RB debate will be all the rage on this board again.

    I think they find a way to go 1-1 going into the bye and Lamar can certainly finish an 8-3 record to get in at ten wins. That might even win the division. Even if they go 0-2 into the bye, I still think they have the horses to go 9-2 down the stretch but that's assuming they get a lot healthier.

    Ironically, these two plays created 10 points for our offense and helped seal the victories in both.

    I saw Mahomes at +1000 on DraftKings. That's really good value considering the Chargers will probably choke the division away and Mahomes will have to throw a lot to win.

    I think this is just a masterful troll job. However, if you flip a coin 50 times in a row and it's heads each time......the next flip will still give you a 50% chance of being heads or tails. Past results don't matter.

    Agree for the most part. There are some exceptions. With Murray specifically, when the team puts an addendum in your contract requiring you to study film and stating that video games don't count you may have a problem. Especially when he signs the contract not even realizing the details would be released.
