About a week after the Bengals game I heard it through the grapevine there was a domestic disturbance at Allen’s house the night before the Bengals game and Diggs felt Josh’s head wasn’t in that game. Which is what his issue was. I didn’t want to say anything because I assumed it would be resolved by now. This is just something that was told to me who knew one of the police officers. I’m not 100% sure he wasn’t full of *****.

I'm not seeing DHop. Jerry Jeudy is with him though for some odd reason though. -

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)

We give the QB's and head coaches all the credit for winning the Super Bowl anyways. Go get the most money while you still can. I have no problem with that. -

He's a great coach with a great offensive mind. However, to be fair he only won one Super Bowl in his 14 years with Drew Brees going 9-8 in the playoffs. Is he really that much of an upgrade over McDermott who has a similar playoff record percentage wise with Allen (3-4) but has yet to win a Super Bowl? I'm not so sure. -
The Miami playoff game? The defense only gave up 231 yards. They gave up only one long touchdown drive more than 18 yards. We gave up a 50 yard punt return and Allen threw two picks that gave them a short field in our territory along with fumbling one for a Miami defensive touchdown. They also forced two key turnovers and made a couple of key stops on 4th down. We lose that game if our defense didn't shine. This defense ranks so highly year after year (besides 2020) because they play a basic but effective system that excels in stopping below average to average QB's. It's that simplicity that allows elite offenses to pick us apart. The lack of ingenuity and adjustments is frustrating to watch for three straight playoff exit games. I think they recognize this and it's why McDermott is taking over the play calling after axing Frazier. They need a way to at least slow the Chiefs/Bengals down when we hopefully face them in January again.

Barkley hinting at sitting out the 2023 season.

Even if they removed the rookie wage scale the position has become so devalued it may push a lot of first round running back prospects into the third and fourth round so NFL teams avoid having to pay them much. -
Yeah. I laughed when the left was praising Bill Barr of all people (Trump's former "partner in crime" in their eyes). I do take his commentary on the indictment seriously though and I think for the first time Trump may be in some trouble. Pry not a smart idea knowing you're being recorded to admit to two reporters that the secret Pentagon documents you're showing them are classified, you could've declassified them when president, but you can't now. Just stupidity and carelessness on his part knowing that there's people in higher up places dying to charge you with a crime.

Even if that happened he still had the Chiefs missing the playoffs which was a popular prediction if you wanted to be a contrarian last off-season. He doesn't have enough clout to have a six page thread over his season predictions.

The Giants, Cowboys, Eagles, and Commanders. Just not against us. Also, the Falcons, Panthers, and Saints.

Not first round picks. It will be how quick Kincaid can learn the offense, establish rapport with Allen, and adjust to playing against NFL defenses. I expect around 40 catches for 500 yards or so.

A head coach is going to hire the best assistants possible because it gives them the best chance to win and keep their job. Thinking they're afraid that hiring too good of a coordinator that they might threaten their job is tin foil hat stuff man. -

Fair enough. I asked that question because Payton was the only coach available that I would've considered making the switch to after the Bengals game if I was Pegula. A proven innovative offensive minded NFL head coach who has a strong enough resume/personality to sell to the fans and players that as much as McD is loved, they just couldn't pass on that upgrade. I pry still wouldn't have done it because we have too good of a thing going here at present. I'd have to see either a disastrous season not due to an influx of injuries or another playoff game where McD was as thoroughly outcoached as he was in that Bengals game. I doubt McD chooses assistants who won't threaten his job. That's not how the NFL works. You want to do everything you can to hire the best assistants because winning is the key to job security in a cutthroat business that is the NFL. The only two examples off the top of my head in the last 10 or so seasons is two ex Bills head coaches ironically (Mularkey and Marrone). They had some weird team dynamics there and they were replacing two horrible head coaches. -
It's just one guy named Adam Rank. He's harmless. Last year he had the Broncos going 12-5 and the Chiefs missing the playoffs. He bought that narrative so why not buy the narrative that the Jets are the new Broncos and the Bills are the new Chiefs this year.

They would've saved 1.5 million releasing him so they like him enough to keep him on the roster. The question is whether he'll be just a return guy or used more in the offense now that he should have a firm grasp on the playbook. It's interesting that both depth charts in this thread have Settle as the 2nd DT. I see him as the odd man out with Oliver, Jones, Ford, and Phillips as the starting four.

It was just a joke. I know in terms of DVOA we lucked into the playoffs that year as our expected win total was between 6 and 7 depending on what metric you used. We also had a negative point differential if memory serves me correctly. Let me ask you this question because you seem to be rightfully more skeptical of McD than the average Bills fan. Would you have fired McDermott after last season if you could've replaced him with Sean Payton? -

True and I have no idea because the offense would be constructed differently. McDermott did make the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor though which is about the equivalent of qualifying for the Daytona 500 with a Prius. -

I agree and I’m glad McDermott is removing the “Frazier” excuse from getting outcoached when against elite offenses in the playoffs. It was a necessary move. That style of defense is great against average qb’s but the elite one’s will pick it apart in today’s NFL. The defensive offseason moves they made tell me they’ve become well aware of that. I pointed out Marvin Lewis because he couldn’t win even a Wild Card game where they were favored multiple times and even he was given a decade or something like that until he was axed after going 0-7 in the playoffs. McDermott at least isn’t a complete choker in the playoffs like he was. There’s something to be said for consistently putting up double digit wins, winning your division, and punching your lottery ticket each year. I just wouldn’t throw that away too quickly. I do have faith he’ll figure it out pretty soon here. -

I give him more of a leash because he has won four playoff games in the last three seasons (aka when Josh Allen became Josh Allen). He’s not like Marvin Lewis where he is 0-7 in the playoffs or something like that. He has to be embarrassed about the Bengals game though. We were so outcoached when on defense that we made Joe Burrow look like he could walk on water. Just no imagination on defense. It’s why Frazier was fired and I expect a much more creative defense against the elite qb’s with McDermott calling the plays. If not, then I’d consider a change if I was Pegula. -

In this case it was a gofundmepage and the donations exploded after Tua donated 10 grand. Rich people donating to charity has always been damned if you do, damned if you don't because there's people like you who will always criticize said person no matter what. -

I was joking. He has an average arm for a starter. He's not a good deep ball thrower though.
