  1. It's unfair to judge a veteran player like Saffold just by one rep. That's why you need to watch all of them last year to truly grasp how terrible he was.
  2. Two other situations people like to ignore with the growing narrative you need an offensive minded head coach to get the most out of an elite QB's window...... -Drew Brees winning only one in 14 seasons under Sean Peyton. -Aaron Rodgers winning only one in 11 season with Rodgers as the starter under Mike McCarthy. Then zero in his four years under LaFluer.
  3. I have no idea but he seems more on the conservative side that it'll take at least two losing seasons to fire McDermott and Beane imo. They've both built up enough of a successful tenure here so far to deserve that long of a leash imo. I think that both would be fired at the same time (unlike Ryan and Whaley) if he were to ever make that move.
  4. The only way Trump loses is if you give Republican primary voters only two choices. DeSantis would pry be the best choice but Haley/Scott/Pence/Hutchinson would also work. If not you'll see a repeat of 2016 where all the non Trump candidates will just take away each other's votes allowing Trump to win with around 30% in a lot of states. Democrats were able to do this in 2020 when Klobachar and Buttigeg dropped out right before Super Tuesday and threw their support behind Biden stopping Sanders from winning the nomination. They knew a self described socialist would've been destroyed in the general election. Trump could beat Biden if he stuck to the issues but another candidate would probably have a much better chance.
  5. My gut instinct throughout this whole Trump/Russia ordeal was that Trump wasn't competent enough to collude with Russia so it was likely a "democratic hoax." It's a horrible look for the FBI, Hillary Clinton, and the media that pushed this. I do wish more people were aware of the extent to how effed up this was.
  6. You're probably correct as it would've been risky with the stakes for this team so high every season. I guess it's easy to second guess the coaches not being there every day at practice. Shakir did play well when he was the primary slot receiver in the two and a half games McKenzie was injured though. I would've liked a parallel universe where they benched McKenzie after the Ravens game and gave Shakir that role.
  7. He probably would've signed with the Giants last year or this year if Daboll had a high opinion on him. He's always been a below average route runner and it showed last year. Combine that with a small catch radius along with shaky hands and I think not replacing him with Shakir early in the season as the primary slot WR was a mistake. Especially right after that Steelers game earlier in the year when McKenzie was out with a concussion. Allen and Shakir would've had the perfect opportunity the rest of the season to build chemistry and get "time on task" going into the playoffs. It also would've given the front office a bigger sample size of who Shakir is going into this off-season. Who knows what they do differently in both free agency and the draft. McKenzie still is a decent gadget player for creative offensive minds so the Colts under Steichen could maximize his strengths while hiding his weaknesses.
  8. It's more a matter of when (not if) he'll get hurt taking those extra hits on QB runs. He did suffer that concussion against the Pats in 2019 on a scramble trying to bulldoze his way for a first down on a 3rd and long. My hope is we can put enough around him to make him less reliant on his legs like in 2020 where he had above average pass protection along with WR options outside and in the slot that could create separation quick in Diggs/Beasley (before the latter fell off a cliff in 2021). The addition of Kinkaid, Hardy, Sherfield, Torrence, and McGovern along with the "hope" that Brown will break out in year three will hopefully provide that. That's a lot of "ifs" though.
  9. This is like when ESPN and TNT convinced me to switch to cable so I could watch SNF. I shouldn't have caved.
  10. The only time I felt the Bills and Sabres had the talent to win both championships around the same time was the early 90's. and the turn of the century era (No Goal, Music City Miracle). The next five years could be something special for both teams.
  11. The Broncos actually traded up for him. Apparently fell slightly for marijuana citation. You never know.
  12. We knew we'd be playing the Bengals, Eagles, and Chiefs on the road this season back in 2002.
  13. You wanted them in the Shotgun at their own half yard line up four with 49 seconds left with the Vikings only having one timeout left? Josh would have to secure the shotgun snap and run at least three yards just to get out of his own end zone. I'd much rather them do what they did even with hindsight. Just have your huge qb sneak it for a yard or two and the game is over. Just because he happened to fumble the snap (a rare occurrence) doesn't mean it was the wrong call.
  14. Steve Tasker just so I can stop hearing callers say that he should be in the Hall of Fame on One Bills Live. Non Bills would be Steve Smith and Zach Thomas.
  15. Romo/Nantz - three times in four weeks. Also, likely Fins@Bills - week 4 and maybe Bills@Fins week 18. We could see them six times this year which means it's possible 8 of our 17 games involve Romo and Collinsworth
  16. Pause it at :27 and read the Vikings banners. 🤣 "Fun game against the Bills 2022 Week 12"
  17. Surprised Bengals and Fins didn't get more. Surprised Raiders and Packers got that many.
  18. Last year Week 1 only had one MNF game too.
  19. Ten games in the dark is a first.
  20. Most places only get one game on CBS or FOX. Everybody is up across the country. Sunday afternoons are usually the laziest time of the entire week. You want Mahomes, Burrow, and Hurst with a healthy Von though.
  21. That's what happens when you build a modern NFL offense in the worst home weather conditions in the NFL. I'm thinking a big easy target for Allen in the slot was a thought in the brutal weather with the Kinkaid pick.
  22. Why? Here's why..... It's the first political thing I've bothered to watch since he left office.
  23. Getting Von back before we play either of them would trump any small schedule disadvantage imo.
  24. After he left for the Steelers. I swear McDermott had the team go all Fight Club after the game in "the first rule about 13 seconds is we don't talk about 13 seconds."
  25. I think they fill them out around Thanksgiving. Burrow played his best ball late in the season last year.
