Doc Brown replied to Bills!Win!'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Their draft history really isn't that impressive before last season since the Mahomes pick if you go back and look at it. Their only home run was Humphrey and they wasted a first round pick on a RB. I won't dig too far into the weeds but I don't consider them a superior team in either of the last two seasons like you claimed. -

It's a faulty narrative imo that under McDermott "rookies usually don't play so much." It has more to do with Beane built a complete enough roster to the point a rookie (even highly drafted) has started day one and/or unforeseen circumstances prevented McDermott from playing recent day 1 and 2 picks as often as he did his first three seasons here. Just look at the playing time their rookie season for players drafted in the first three rounds since McDermott took over. 2017- T. White, Zay Jones, and Dawkins all started the majority of the season. 2018 - Allen was a starter after they watched Peterman for half a game. Edmunds started right away. Phillips was part of the defensive rotation the whole season. 2019 - Oliver started right away. Ford started in a rotation before becoming the full time starter at RT. Singletary split the workload with Gore. Knox played in every game and started 11 of them. 2020 - Epenesa played in ten games. Moss split the workload with Singletary. 2021 - Rousseau was part of the rotation in all 17 games. Basham played in eight games. Spencer Brown was the starter at RT after week 3. 2022 - Elam was a rotational player for most of the year alternating with either Benford or Jackson. Cook's workload increased as the year went on. Benford - wth was Beane thinking with that pick? -
Vikings fans know we could've relied on Gary Anderson in a pressure situation.

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/05/09/matt-araiza-expresses-gratitude-to-prosecutors-for-his-exoneration/ “I am aware that the facts of this case have been made public,” Araiza said in a statement provided to PFT on Tuesday night. “I am deeply gratified for the thorough work of the DA’s office in San Diego and for all the witnesses that were willing to come forward and tell the truth. I am thankful that the facts of this case as provided by the witnesses will prove that what I have been saying from the beginning is, in fact, the truth. “I can only hope that now people will assess me on the facts and not what was falsely claimed in both the civil suit and in the press. “I am beyond thankful for the unwavering support of both my family and friends. They have been a rock in what has been a very dark eight months for me. However, now that the truth is out, I am amazed by the thousands of emails and tweets supporting me. It has truly been a blessing to know so many people have now judged me by the facts.”

Forty-two pages over a punter. Gotta love this place.

I want at Bengals week 1. Don’t care what day or time. -
I don't think he gets a chance with any team until the civil suit is completely resolved.
-
Imagine Beane explaining this to Pegula. "Look, I know it's nuts to pay and carry two punters in today's hyper competitive NFL. However, there's a possible curse we have to consider."
-
The Bills don't owe him anything. He's a sixth round punter and was therefore easily expendable. Wasn't worth the distraction. Sucks for him but he'll get a shot somewhere else.

Zach Ertz says he was almost a Bill
Doc Brown replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Simms broke his foot in December that season against us ironically. He couldn't have played as I believe he was on crutches Super Bowl weekend. Simms was playing great that year until he got hurt so if he was healthy for the Super Bowl they were pry playing him. Parcells was the better coach but I'm not going to credit him for that decision because it wasn't an option. -

Frank Reich said that. The article also had an odd quote from Reich saying that he should've started over Kelly in Super Bowl 27. -
I always view the QB position as who gives d-coordinators nightmares at night because of their skill set. Not their surrounding weapons. 1.) Mahomes 2.) Allen 3.) Burrow 4.) Herbert 5.) Lamar 6.) Rodgers 7.) Hurts 8.) Lawrence 9.) Murray (when healthy) 10.) Stafford (when healthy)

That's a simplistic talking point that's emerged the last few seasons imo. The first three Super Bowls wins I give more to Belichick than Brady. Brady was more of a game manager while their defense was the driving force. The last six Super Bowls they went to (three wins, three losses) was more Brady and that offense.

We need a real life, live Buffalo pregame

Uniform Identity & Changes (What is behind it)
Doc Brown replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
The all blues and reds should only be worn once a year (if they insist) to avoid an uptake in macular degeneration in the WNY area. The all white's on the road are great although my personal preference is white on white with blue socks. The Sabres went back to the black goathead jerseys and they were great. Bills should do the same thing with the 90's unis for at least one game. -
The Jets and the Cowboys scrambling after getting jumped was the best part of the draft. The pettiness from Belichick is great though.

Beane: “working on at least 2 veteran UFA’s”

Go shopping in the middle of the season if it’s still a need is my guess. -
Bills are grandpa's based on average roster age.
Doc Brown replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Their kicker is 35 and their punter is 37. Their best players besides Rodgers are very young though. -
Ditka and Levy are both overrated. Levy made it to four straight Super Bowls though which has never been done before or since. Ditka won one and then Buddy Ryan left. Then he went 15-33 with the Saints before getting the ax.
-
Most overrated coach of all time. Only one Super Bowl win and appearance with that defense is pathetic. Horrible coaching job with the Saints. Hell of a player though.
-
You're not doing a very good job of it. LOL. It's probably my favorite free agent signing that wasn't one of our own last year. Even before this signing the only thing preventing this roster from winning the Super Bowl is injuries. Same as last year.

This Bills over/under seems like stealing money
Doc Brown replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
We were also 0-5 in one score games that year and still hit the over. Bet the Bills at 10.5. Losing seven games seems highly unlikely barring an Allen injury. Also, the Steelers are my favorite over by far. -
Bills trade 6th rounds picks for what in return?
Doc Brown replied to jaybills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I look at it as giving us more ammunition to trade up and down in the early rounds of next year's draft. Also, more resources for in season trades to help us down the stretch this season.
