  1. Hey pal. You saw some of the other tough guys on the forum. "Nuff talkin! Go win sumthin'!" Tough guy!!! Very tough. In fact, so tough we need to spell it "tuff."
  2. Dawkins - Bates - Morse - Torrence - Brown, I guess, I dunno. I'm not an offensive lineologist.
  3. Wasn't it just a few years ago a group figured out like, a really good algorithm for the schedule? It was really balanced and fair and the NFL was like, "Lol eat s#!t." Sports and their fear of technological evolution....
  4. I know the players loved him and in the regular season he was solid. And keep in mind, the defensive plan allows for yardage and then they tighten up in their own end to force field goals. But there were some situations that just seemed inexplicable. I don't like to relive those moments. It just felt like when the pressure was on and they really needed it, he just didn't get it done. The Bills knew they had to move on and they did it in the most polite way they could.
  5. Hey, all I know is last time the Bills selected a player from Tulane it was all world megastar quarterback JayPee Loseman!
  6. The s#!t some of you think about.... good lord
  7. Teammates are constantly calling the guy one of the hardest workers on the team. I don't know if anyone remembers the story but during the playoffs, Von brought in a replica Lombardi and set it up in the locker room with a sign that said, "You said you'd do anything for it." Gabe, who had just finished practice, saw the sign, turned around and went back into the fieldhouse and spent another hour on the JUGS machine. His ankle really limited him last year. He couldn't run more than a few specific routes and there were a couple bummer drops. But I think he's a solid player and if he's healthy all season we should see a lot more from him. He definitely gets way too much crap on this forum.
  8. What's it look like? It appears to be a collection of absurdly large human beings. They'll pick the ones who are best at not letting other absurdly large humans get past them. I really don't know how it's going to shake out. Lotta people seem to think McGovern is slotted in as a starter from day one but I'd assume he'll have to beat out Ryan Bates, who I think does better on the left but that's also McGovern's natural spot. Torrence is a high end draft pick who's gonna get plenty of chances to win the RG spot. Is Bates odd man out and plays a backup role this year and maybe takes over for Morse next season? Dawkins and Brown are the tackles. The competitions to watch will be for both guard spots.
  9. I dunno, I get a good vibe from the guy. I think he's gonna be fine. People forget that Milano also converted from safety. Seems like he has a pretty good feel for the game and he flies to the ball. They'll coach him up and I wouldn't be surprised if he sees a fair bit of playing time.
  10. They love it when you call him Big Poona...
  11. Hey, I got one right, haha. I was looking at the remaining prospects last night and focused in on Shorter as someone the Bills would appear to like. Then I saw that they visited with him. His skill set really seems to suit their offense. They'll just have to hope he's able to stay healthy because his entire college career he dealt with injury and missed time every season. Also, can't wait to hear the broadcast morons on gameday: Jim: "And there's Shorter with the catch, and that's enough for a first down." Tony: "And let me tell ya, Jim, shorter he isn't! This guy is a specimen!"
  12. Solid pick. I like it. To celebrate, I made not one, but two PB&Js.
  13. I think I'm just looking forward to the inevitable meltdown some folks are gonna have no matter who the Bills draft. Just remember, this stuff is supposed to be fun. If the names they announce next weekend make you wanna throw things and punch holes in the wall then maybe take a minute to ponder if football is, I dunno, your thing? After that we'll round up the expert board analysis on Beane...who will surely have failed miserably at his job according to the message board savants of the world. Who's that one player you really hope they don't pick? I hope they pick that guy.
  14. I believe you're reading into this way too much. If you watched the press conference you see Josh flash a big smile when they ask about Diggs.
  15. All I know is when McD has taken over the play calls periodically during his tenure here, it feels like the defense plays with a bit more of an edge. It also seems like he's more willing to take risks and call some more unique things. I know it was out of necessity in 2020 when they had to switch things up defensively, but it looked like they were more in an attack mode rather than a "sit back and keep it in front of us" mode. I think it's a needed change. Les Frazier is a great coach and the players love him. I just feel like he kind of hit his ceiling here. Didn't see a lot of different wrinkles or unique things from his defense over the years. And unfortunately, in the big moments, it really seems like he goes all deer in the headlights and things fall apart. I'm looking forward to seeing what Sean can do. Should be interesting at the very least.
  16. Who gives a fat rats patoot? Also, the amount of question marks in the title is insufficient. Should probably add another three or four hundred.
  17. I was actually really surprised (and excited) when they drafted Marshawn Lynch. I mean, they hadn't really been drafting the most exciting players up to that point and he was an exciting player. Whitner was a surprise given how Ngata was still on the board. I think the Spiller pick was kind of a surprise as well.
  18. I see there is a Jonathan Mingo in the draft this year. Reminds me of the other Mingo, Barkevious. Anyone remember that guy? I was collecting cards back then and this dude haunted dang near every pack I opened that year. "Ooh, I see a shiny one coming up, and it's....oh, it's a one out of 25 Barkevious Mingo...wheeee."
  19. Lotta guys played hurt and it wasn't pretty at times but they won. Would I like to see Josh have some time back there and not have to take off scrambling after 0.8 seconds? Yeah, but I'm not gonna jump online and crap-talk the players or proclaim they should be cut or replaced. It reminds me of this older fella I used to work with way back when. We would watch the Sabres games and every time a puck got past Ryan Miller he would be like, "He's a bum! Get him outta there!" And replace him with who, exactly? Players are in their spots because they are the best option on the team. It feels like a lot of fans find it so simple to just cut bait with any player at any time and just go out and pick up a guy who they expect to be ten times better than the previous guy. It's enough to make you wanna shmack your head against the wall. This stuff is supposed to be fun. Since the playoff loss it's like some folks here are on a crusade to try and make others believe this team is doodie. Bah.
  20. Aye carumba. Some of y'all act like they've got JV backups on this team.
  21. Another solid TE would be helpful. People are on the OC about Knox not being as involved as he was in 2021. That was a product of him being the most reliable TE in the roster and being asked to chip and block more frequently than he had in seasons past. Get someone else out there to split the duties and that'll open up things more for Knox.
  22. Get the OL squared away and he won't have to bail and run as soon as he gets the ball. You don't remove that part of his game entirely, though. You can see how hyped the team gets when Josh runs for a big first down or leaps over a dude. I mean I'm all for him protecting himself and running less, that's fine. But you also gotta find that balance where they're still letting him be him. For what it's worth, both injuries he's dealt with in his NFL career happened in the pocket.
