Kansas City.... Who/What do you despise the most?blacklabel replied to henry jones's topic in The Stadium Wall I'm pretty sick of those red rat bastids. It would be cool if they were all forced to do a 10 mile barefoot Lego hike.

Joe B (The Athletic) on passing game problems (with data)blacklabel replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Yeah that's definitely not ideal. I'm also on the "try throwing it to Jimmy sometimes" bandwagon as he has been targeted exactly 0 times in the last two games. It's weird because with Dorsey's offense, the passing game was centered around more intermediate and longer routes that they would hit on for 15, 20, 25 yards or whatever, but they never generated a lot of YAC in that scheme. Now the pendulum has swung in the complete opposite direction. They can hit on all these shorter throws near the LOS and create some solid YAC, some of those plays even break loose for a big score (like Shakir has done twice this season). But now they can't hit anything down the field with a QB who has a rocket for a right arm and excels at those kinds of throws. I mean, it's awesome how he's improved a lot on the short stuff and that should certainly have a place in their system but right now it's just really unbalanced with the short stuff being somewhat successful and the down field stuff being nearly non-existent.

Ed Oliver bicep injury - likely out regular seasonblacklabel replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Son of a biscuit! He just got back. Stupid jerky jerk Panthers guy ran him over. That guy should be mandated to step on at least 362 Legos.

Right? And the "real pro offense" he's looking for probably looked a lot like what Ken Dorsey was doing. Longer developing routes and the mindset of, "hey we just line up and do our thing and see if they can stop us and if they stop us then, uh, I will throw my headset!" Brady has gotten a little ahead of himself at times but generally has been better at making adjustments.

It would be the considerate thing to do, really. I would offer 14 magic jelly beans for one Waddle.

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?blacklabel replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Turn in your fan card, now. It's revoked.

Hire Ryan Fitzpatrick as a part time consultantblacklabel replied to Figster's topic in The Stadium Wall Haha these types of things always remind me of some of the folks who call into WGR. I dunno about Fitz, but my "call into WGR" would be can someone get Stevie Johnson in here to teach his crossover move to the WRs? C'mon, Keon is a basketball guy too I bet he could pick up on it and start getting CBs all turned around like Stevie used to do with Revis. Anyway, I'll hang up and listen.

All 22 Review: Bills vs Patriotsblacklabel replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall Yeah I don't like to speculate but I had the same thought. I thought it was kinda interesting how they showed the replay and pointed out how he bonks his head on the turf but wouldn't cut to a shot of him on the sidelines or anything. That's not super unusual but typically they go to a shot of whichever player is being talked about. Made me wonder if he was getting checked out on the sidelines or something. And then he came out in the second half and had some good plays but also seemed like he was pressing a bit to make a big play and he just either didn't see some open guys out there or he did and didn't fire it for whatever reason. At the same time, it seems like they're good for one kinda "WTF was that?!" game every year in the McBeane Era. Last year it was Houston. Year before that was Jacksonville, etc.

I think it was one of their TEs that twitched a tiny bit.

I go into every game expecting the usual awfulness from the officials and I've been able to pretty much just shrug and move on from every ridiculous call because that's just the way it goes. That said, the refs were out of their minds last night. They'll say they wanna call a tight game but that seems kinda silly when they call 11 penalties on one team and 0 on the other thru an entire half. When they're calling super weak holds that happen on virtually every play and you're only throwing the flag on one team it just makes them look incompetent. Not that they care.

Reminds me of a quote from the movie Baseketball. "Well, it was a team effort, and it took every player working together to lose this one." Fumbles, drops, penalties, a pick, inconsistent pressure, OL struggles, missed tackles, etc. Take your pick. And then Maye was ridiculous escaping some of those sacks, so annoying. Crap happens. Get over it and get it together for the next one.

Where’s the juice at the position of Wide Receiver?blacklabel replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall I'm not sure what some youse expect anymore. They're winning games and there's so much "yeah, but..." about everything. They have flaws like any team. Offensively I feel like they have the best of both worlds right now. Jimbo and the OL are killing it and have created one of the best rushing attacks in the league. And then if they struggle with the run there's this Jorsh Allen guy at QB, handsome, 6'5", rocket for a right arm, you know, that fella is pretty good. He can sling it to a pretty diverse group of skill players who can have their number called at anytime. I don't much care that they don't have a "true #1 WR" or if the plays aren't exciting enough, or even if some of the play calls have seemed a little wonky, they're winning games. And despite some folks thinking they should just be obliterating every opponent, I guess they need reminded that most opponents are also comprised of professional players, a lot of whom have something to prove and especially wanna show that against a perennial contender like the Bills. They're always gonna get everyone's best shot. Most teams are gonna play inspired football against the Bills. Except maybe Miami. For years now it looks like their team spirit is about as lively as a little worm danglin' on a hook in some little Florida pond. I'm sure we'll see plenty more exciting plays. I think we also might see a fair amount of games where most starters are punched out and kicked back on the bench early in the 4th quarter.

9/28/2025 Bills vs Saints 1st half game threadblacklabel replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Shakir! That's why I call him the Pinball Wizard. No, not because he plays with silver balls but the dude bounces off tackles and just keeps truckin'.

	Whoa, McCaffrey just got shmacked.

If you love blocked field goals then today is your day. Eagles blocked two, Browns got one, Jets did the ol' block, scoop and score and Tampa still came back and kicked the game winner anyway. 😆

I thought Walker got a little piece of it when I saw it live. Looks like it brushes off his arm.

We learned at draft time how this dude was the best blocking TE on the board and how he would fit in as a sixth OL for the offense. At that time tho, there were a handful of prospect analysts making a point to mention that while you didn't see it a lot, he had some skill and value as a receiver. Then during camp we heard time and again how, "This Hawes kid is more than just a blocker!" And how it seemed like as camp went on there seemed to be some new plays and wrinkles in the offense that were designed to get Hawes more involved. Seems like the team and coaches/FO really like the guy and wanna develop him. Hawes also appears to have the right makeup to really succeed and turn into a solid player.

Josh Allen and the Stiff Armblacklabel replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall Stiff arm?! More like whiff arm! Josh wanted to drive that dude into the dirt so bad but fella was already well on his way to turf town when Josh swung for the fences.

Well, I dunno about youse guys but I, for one, am glad they signed Bosa. Dude looks like he's playing fast and loose out there. Most importantly it really looks like he's having fun. I said before this could be a situation that rejuvenates a player. You've already heard him talk about how he really hasn't been part of a team like the Bills. He's bought in and it looks like the team already loves him. Now just don't break anything! I mean, in yourself, Joe. Please continue to break the hopes and dreams of opposing quarterbacks.

Mang, it's game time. Ain't nobody got time to be reading this right meow! But since I commented, I'll stay on topic. I'd imagine Babich has a pretty long leash for now as McDermott loves the guy and has brought him up from like assistant position coach up to coordinator so he's invested time and work in the guy. I think it'd have to be pretty catastrophic for him to get the boot during this season. Edit: *a few hours later* I'd say Bob's seat is pretty chilly after today's game. They looked like they were on a mission to make a statement that last week's performance isn't what we should expect as the norm. Even with Taron and Ed out today they were terminators out there. Joey Bosa and Matt Milano were lights out this afternoon. Obviously it's only week two but my thoughts after the Ravens game were kinda like, meh, the Ravens do tend to do that to the Bills. Ravens just one of those teams that have their number sometimes. Also, they're the only team with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, who kinda sorta do that to almost everyone they play.
