  1. Definitely feels like he's turned a corner. He was a beast yesterday. As soon as defenses tighten up to try and stop him that should allow Josh and the passing game to get rolling.
  2. I used to feel that way with Losman and Edwards. I was like, take Losman's arm and athleticism and combine it with Trent's IQ and accuracy and maybe they'd turn into a somewhat kinda competent QB.
  3. Sounds like he could use some high quality H20.
  4. Boy oh boy, I guess ol' Roger must've yelled at the refs because the kiddie gloves are 100% on for little Patty Pancakes. Gets a huge break on that fumble, then Kelce drops one and then he tries a flop to get a PI call on the next play. Keep crying, Patricia. It'll just solidify what most outside of KC already know, that youse a whiny brat.
  5. Capable of big games just inconsistent. Seems to get a lot of praise as a blocker and someone doing the little, unnoticed things on offense, team player and a captain so there are qualities there the staff certainly admire. But is he just too inconsistent? Has a big game then disappears for a bit. Couple picks this year have bounced off his hands, he's had some drops. It's not like he's a liability week in and week out, just feels like his goofs come at bad times. Honestly, I suspect some other team with the cap space and a need at receiver will overpay him a bit and he'll be elsewhere for 2024. I'd re-sign him at a fair value which, I think Beane may offer, but I think another team will see something there and think they can get him to that next level. Will he? I dunno.
  6. Ty Johnson seems like he'd do pretty well on screens too. Guy gets the ball and doesn't waste a step getting vertical.
  7. One classy mofo. If anyone had any reason to go ballistic on the officials like Mahomes did, it was Josh when he was practically strangled by an Eagles defender and didn't get the flag for a horse collar.
  8. Yuss. Chris Jones and (I assume) the DL coach were not psyched with each other.
  9. "Ooh great win, now how can I try and kick everyone in the nuts and ruin a nice time?"
  10. I like Quintin but Knox is a better player. This is also the first game where Joe Brady has Knox and Kincaid in the lineup so it'll be interesting to see how he wants to utilize them. Definitely keep targeting Kincaid tho, I feel like the dude is due for a monster breakout game.
  11. I guess I'm in the minority but I really don't mind the white on blue.
  12. Been a frustrating year. Honestly, every game they've lost they should've won. Nobody has really flat out dominated them and they've been in every one but they've found ways to let six of them slip away. Lame-o. I'm more burned out from chasing a soon to be three year old and his lil brudder who is a year and a half.
  13. I mean...I hear him but, he's also one of the primary reasons there are so many more protective rules of offensive players these days.
  14. Each year I prepare myself for the officiating to be a disaster, just how it is. However, usually by mid-season things seem to level out. There are still bad calls and whatnot but it's like they get their crap together at a certain point and become mostly competent. That hasn't happened this season. It's been ungodly awful this year and only seems to be getting worse.
  15. I didn't care for the decision. There was enough time there to try, at least try. That doesn't really go a long way towards showing confidence in your offense, either. Should've let them try. Last Thanksgiving against the Lions. Tied at 25, ball on their own 25, 23 seconds to go and yeah, 3 TO's...but Josh fired a laser to Diggs on the first play, nearly 40 yards and bam, already in FG range. Needed to let them try.
  16. I laughed at that too. I've kinda always rolled my eyes when a defender goes wild celebrating a pretty routine tackle. It's like, okay, great, you got him...I mean, he picked up ten yards before you got him but you sure showed him. Coach Boras seems like a super well liked and respected coach. He was one of the first assistants Sean hired in 2017 and has been here since day one. I always wondered if he was going to get a look for OC since he has done that before but I think they like him right where he's at.
  17. Hey, youse better watch it, pal. He said all is NOT forgiven. So... Josh owes him something, clearly. Do youse wanna owe him something as well, Ricardo?! Ricardo Cranium!!
  18. They also need to allow technological advancements into the rules. Stuff like a microchip in the ball to help with spots, etc. I mean, there are already enough cameras and circuits in the dang pylons that they need their own little cooling fans. But, every time the league brings up integrating tech into officiating, the referee's union throws a tantrum, threatens a strike like, "You 'member them replacement refs? They were awful and we'll send 'em out again if you dare try to look at us as anything other than infallible! We are geniuses who see all and are never wrong!!" I really don't like officials. Anyone who wants to be one at that level... I dunno, I think you probably got farts in your brain or something.
  19. I commented elsewhere in this thread that up until the last two weeks, Singletary had averaged a total of 27 rushing yards per game as a Texan. Awesome for him that he is helping Houston win and being productive. Same goes for Zack Moss, he's had opportunities in Indy and has taken advantage. But... for the record... James Cook leads the both of them in total rushing yards. He has 688, Moss has 617, Singletary has 471. He also has more receptions and more receiving yards.
  20. Every year I try to just prepare myself for the fact that officiating is going to be an abysmal dumpster fire, yet every year they find new ways to impress me with their idiocy. This really isn't anything major but for a while I've wondered why "half the distance to the goal" is a thing. Why not just kick the first down marker ten or fifteen yards down the field? Team stays at their own six yard line or whatever, but now it's 1st and 20 or 25, etc.
