  1. I did a Google, you right. 2016.
  2. This happened with the Bills in 2017 or 2018, I think? They claimed WR/KR Dri Archer from the Steelers and the dude just never showed up. I think he just straight up quit football lol.
  3. That was something that kinda irritated/confused me about Dorsey's offense. He's all about that "our guy vs. your guy, go win the route and get open" and sure, that's great, you need that in your offense. But I don't think you can rely on it 100% of the time and sometimes that's what it felt like with Dorsey. He had more of a down the field passing attack but like, could never mix it up with a mesh route here and there? Just scheme a guy open to give Josh an easy completion every now and then. Felt like that wasn't happening much with Dorsey. Brady, tho, he has no problem designing things and dialing up stuff made to get a guy in space.
  4. You're a real Mackimaniac, that's why. All jokes aside, I'm a fan. He seems to have settled into his role really well, he's very well respected, he's smart, works hard, you know, all that kinda business that McDermott loves. And yeah, I made the post today after I took a look at his stats. Sure they're not dialing up ten targets a game for him but when his number is called, he answers. If he's not catching a touchdown, he's at least getting a first down! Go Mack! But also, don't always shun the shoes! They're there to keep ya feet safe. You need those things. Both of 'em, for running and stuff.
  5. Mackimaniacs unite!
  6. Yeah, I know virtually nobody was excited to sign this guy. I just thought this stat of his was neat: he has 16 receptions on the year. Three of those went for touchdowns. The other 13? All first downs. That's neat.
  7. You can also keep track of every "Eeesh, aw, Jim I dunno!" he does and every time he tries to create drama in the most mundane, routine plays. James Cook off left tackle for four yards. There is no fumble, nor is their a possibility of a fumble because he's been tackled. Nantz: "And there's Cook falling ahead for about four." Romo: "Oh boy, I dunno Jim, does this ball get knocked loose?!" And this is what I imagine Nantz's inner monologue might be like sometimes: "What?! No, you frickin' jaggaloon! He carried it for four yards and got tackled, nothing else is going on, stop making stuff up!"
  8. They don't want it fixed. They probably think it adds drama to the game. I go into every game expecting the officiating to be abysmal. When you set the bar underground...they still somehow go lower.
  9. Pish posh. Quiet down.
  10. For cripes sake. This is what's on your mind on a Friday night? You must be a blast at parties. "Hey, I know Bass set a franchise record and won the game last week but I just wanna remind everyone he missed one and doinked another!" We knowwwwwwww. What do you propose they do about it? He's on the roster for a reason....because there isn't anyone else available that's gonna be any better.
  11. Dat was da greatest punt return I has ever seen. Also, Josh totally gets that first down. What a bum youse is, Joe!
  12. Dat was da greatest punt return I has ever seen.
  13. Nah, I think he's at the tail end of his career here. I don't believe he offers much more than a guy like Solomon (as many others have stated) or even like a Kingsley Jonathan. I'd rather roll with those guys. I'm hopeful Solomon takes the Khalil Shakir route where his first couple seasons have more of a limited role but by year three he's 100% ready to ball out as a starter. The only knock on the guy is he's a smidge undersized, other than that he's very talented.
  14. Well dang, mang, I ain't Brandon Beane!
  15. I maintain that Samuel is just nowhere near 100% right now. He'd be way more involved if he was fully healthy. I think the toe is probably still causing some issues, hard to run, cut, and plant with that type of injury. I hope he can heal up and be more of a factor down the stretch.
  16. I mean, I think McDaniel and the Fish are a buncha little weasels but they had a good offensive game plan. They used their speed well and the misdirection stuff was working. I feel like they went a little deep into their playbook too since they were basically fighting for their playoff lives. It happens. The other teams are a buncha professionals too, they're gonna make plays. Sometimes I feel like the expectations people have are like, "Okay, defensively they should allow zero yards, actually it should be like -58 yards and also need a dozen sacks and five picks per game otherwise this defense is abysmal! And the offense needs to rack up 60 a game or they're bums!" I mean, I'm being facetious, I realize most fans would rather not see the D get ran over for 120 yards a game or whatever. But they got the W and that's all that matters.
  17. I'm actually not super concerned. It wasn't their best day but the way I looked at it was the Dolphins were playing with their backs against the wall and were getting pretty deep in their playbook. Their misdirection stuff was effective today and Tua played a pretty solid game. I think they're gonna be alright.
  18. I can't lie, I really thought he was gonna shank it a mile into the 29th row or whatever but he absolutely clobbered that ball. What a frickin' kick. Top five all time Bills field goals. Dude missed an XP then had a doink on another one, and then nails it from 61. And it was good from 65, I bet. Wow.
  19. After the first quarter I was like, oh man is this gonna be a dumb one? And then by the end I was like, yeah, that's the kinda mollywhoppin' that should happen against a team like that.
  20. Like, I partake myself but I feel like every time I see this guy speak he's just blazed beyond belief and struggles to put together coherent sentences. Maybe he's just a bad public speaker or gets nervous up there but IMO he just kinda looks like a super high guy trying to do his best.
  21. If I had to guess I'd say Tyler Bass is 100% the Bills kicker for the remainder of 2024. I mean, unless he either spontaneously combusts or suddenly goes 1 for 16 or something, he's the guy. And he's the guy because there really aren't any better alternatives available. It's not like some dude with the kicking caliber of Justin Tucker is just sitting around in his fudgies waiting for a phone call. I imagine he'll be the guy going forward but for 2025 I guarantee he's gonna be competing for the jorb. Hopefully he hits his groove. Not sure what his deal is, and I've said it before, I don't mind a miss here and there, it's going to happen. It's the way in which he's missed. Most are a few feet wide right or left but cripes, he's had a few this year that are just Shankasaurus Rex, bootin' that thing into the fourth row type of misses that are hard to look past. And I think one of the most troubling aspects has been some of these misses are coming from his preferred side of the field. He likes to kick off the left hash. Every time he has one coming off the right side ya never really know if it's gonna go thru. In the past when he'd kick from the left I'd feel pretty confident but as of late that confidence is a little down. Just kick the GD ball, Tyler. Preferably in between the long yellow poles at the end of the field.
  22. I'm a number nerd so I looked at what's available. Most of 1-19 is taken except for 15, 16, and 18. And then the 80s have 81, 82, 84, 87, and 89 open. My guess is 18, maybe. He wore 9 at Alabama, 1+8=9 and all that. Or perhaps he goes with the rare ⅗ numbers I dunno, I'm not a scientist.
  23. Did that XP get tipped? I can't recall if it did or not. If not then, yikes. I can understand a kicker shanking one every now and then but he's had like three or four ugly shanks just in the last couple weeks. Don't know what happened with the guy, and I've been someone that's been riding the "he'll be fine" bandwagon but the ways in which he's missing lately have left me thinking that the dude just isn't reliable right now.
  24. Hasn't he lost like...all the steps to this point? Dorian Williams was flying around on Sunday and seems like he's turned a corner. I'd rather stick with him. And for whatever it's worth, it seems like they're tinkering with the idea of moving Lewis Cine from safety to LB. Could be interesting.
  25. I don't really think the defense is the problem right now. They've only really had one bad game (Ravens) other than that they've allowed 21, 10, 10, and 23 points across the other four games. And that's with guys like Bernard, T. Johnson, Oliver, and Milano on the sidelines. Sometimes they seem to allow the opposing offense to get off to a fast start but they eventually lock in and put a lid on things. Thru the second half in Houston they allowed only six points and forced two turnovers. Offense could only muster a frickin' field goal off those turnovers.
