Is Josh Allen already the best dual-threat QB ever?
LABILLBACKER replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's clearly better as an all around athletic qb than Cam, Lamar and Vick. Give him 1 MVP and a Lombardi to go with his career stats and he'll pass Elway & Young. -
Josh's perfect offensive game re-visited

....and all that offense against Belichick and his #5 defense. It was not a game that should ever be downgraded. -
Listen, rankings are arbitrary at best and inaccurate at worst. There will always be gms, execs, coaches and journalists who rank their guys all over the map. Cowherd opened his show today spending 10 minutes praising Josh's accomplishments over the years despite unfair criticism. He compared him to Farve & Manning because they had their Mahomes (Brady) to hurdle over. Patrick & Josh in my eyes will always be 1 & 2. After that I really don't care where you stick Burrow (injuries) or Lamar (playoff failures). And to wrap up Cowherds show he stressed "don't EVER tell Josh to stop taking risks. The greatest people in history took risks".

Brandon Aiyuk officially requests a trade

I agree with all of this. The Niners & Raiders will want alot. Likely multiple high picks. Then there's managing the cap. Landing one of these guys would immediately vault our pass catcher group to top 10. I know it's a long shot but I'd like to see BB try. -
Nah....this family is way to dysfunctional to start practicing common sense now.

Would this mean Keyshawn Johnson would be forced to become a Bills fan? -
First of all you don't delete his NE game. He was absolutely on fire against a top 10 defense. Nothing inflated at all about that game. Lamar is a paper tiger. His playoff performances are flat out embarrassing yet the league fawns over him like some great player. Burrow can't stay healthy long enough to argue anything in any direction. It's almost moot with him. That leaves 2 great qbs in the NFL.... Mahomes Allen

The Bills should give Matt Coghlin ( UFL % leader) a shot. He made 94% of his kicks 16/17 with a long of 57. Let him compete with Bass during camp. -
Josh Allen: which ways will he struggle and shine?
LABILLBACKER replied to ryguy101's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it's realistic to expect an early break in period developing chemistry with the new wrs. He must start by expecting Kincaid to be his go to #1 target safety valve. We gotta hope Coleman can do some of the things Gabe brought ( minus the drips). And the rest from Shakir, Samuel & Claypool must be ready to contribute substantially. -

McD lost faith in him beyond 45 yards and stopped using him. That's your giant red flag right there. Just another stupid and premature extension. -

How close is Allen to Mahomes if all things were equal?
LABILLBACKER replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
You give Josh... Reid Spagnuolo Kelce Hill Jones .....he's winning at least 2 SB's in that 7 year span. -
Close your eyes McDermott haters…he’s a top 10 HC
LABILLBACKER replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, I agree. We had our bites at the apple, especially 2021. In 22 pure organizational and team chaos and drama drained this team. 2023 was all about trying to function with a completely injury decimated defense. But I concur that if ground and pound doesn't work, we absolutely must clean house. I'm not a McD skeptic because I have nothing better to do. I've always been disappointed with his in-game brain f arts. When will Sean's defense have a legendary playoff run that supercedes JA's heroism? When?? -

I completely agree. You add a HOF TE like Kelce and a defensive monster like Jones and it's almost unfair. KC reminds me of the old Laker teams that could just turn on the switch once the playoffs started. I guess the epitome of my frustration lies in our 10th ranked HC and his 5th-6th ranked Defense can't ever find that switch. They just wilt and you can't blame injuries every year. We were healthy in 20 & 21. -

17 carries this team through the regular season. You can almost guarantee anywhere from 10-13 wins. Then when the playoffs start and Allen is continuing to put up good numbers, we also require a HC who can be the difference. The in game flaws get exposed. That's the part of this whole argument that I can't understand gets ignored by his supporters. Maybe just winning in the regular season is enough? -

Allen can practically and single handedly carry this team in the regular season. But when the level of play rises in the playoffs you absolutely must have a dynamic HC. That's where the Bills with McD lack. . -

I think his floor is 6 sacks and his ceiling is 11. I'm thinking around 7-8 this season. -

Sorry but every year his playoff defenses blow. 13 seconds was a testament as to panicking under pressure. We win because of Josh and Andy knows how to undress Sean every year.
