  1. So who is it a referendum on? Say it....say it.... Professor McClappy
  2. I couldn't agree more. Our #1 weakness will be generating pressures and sacks from our front 4 rotation. I'm not feeling confident we're hitting 54 sacks this year. Bass is a hot mess and that extension was ill conceived.
  3. No....I have AJE around 6, Von 6 and Groot maybe 7 with the wind at his back.
  4. Will Matt Milano be 100% by September? He's the straw that stirs this defense. If Matt can even play 90% and Bernard plays like last year, it will open up the play of everyone else.
  5. Like others have said, TO was a 1 year rental. I don't even consider him an ex-Bill. He doesn't have enough at bats to qualify in my book.
  6. There's really only 2 choices. I'd pick Moulds over Reed simply because of Eric's size and style would mesh perfectly with 17.
  7. The fact that Josh won't have to stress feeding a diva all day, will be a positive. Opposing defenses won't have a clue who to key on each week, another advantage. We are heavy on slot wrs so hopefully somebody steps up as the X? Hoping Claypool makes the team and contributes.
  8. Come on Gun?....unless he gets 80% of the snaps, he's not touching 10 sacks. McDermott doesn't trust him enough with his rotation to increase his snaps. Oh and just for statistical comparison Kelsay had 15 sacks his first 4 full seasons. AJ had 15.5
  9. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see the DT's out sack the edge boys.
  10. Both Tua & Rodgers are more than capable of getting injured. Obviously NYJ have the superior defense and Mia has more offensive weapons. I think the flippers edge out Ayauasca for 2nd place but it's close.
  11. Yeah, 54 sacks ranking us 4th was rather impressive considering we got nothing from Von, Milano and Jones. But then again the Ravens were #1 in sacks, yet they couldn't touch Mahomes in the playoffs.
  12. This year, last year, any year.... Cam Lewis
  13. The more intriguing under will be if we can hit 54 like last year?
  14. Would've, could've, should've and if are words that have encompassed Bills football for years. He's only elite if he stays healthy. He couldn't stay healthy. It was a bold yet risky signing due to his age and unfortunately it proved a fail. Technically and physically he didn't finish the season. When we've needed him the most (playoffs) he's been unavailable.
  15. They're not hitting 20... Von- 7 Greg- 6 AJ- 5 ....I don't see these guys going above these numbers. Maybe Ed, Smoot & Solomon give us a handful but our sack numbers will be down. Since McDermott became HC, he has yet to suit up an elite pass rusher.
  16. Cook had 4 documented dropped tds last season. And if focus is the issue then that's even more terrifying. His ability to run between the 20's is impressive but McD doesn't trust him inside the 5? If the drops and lack of focus continue into this season, it will be NFL "not for long" for James.
  17. Too old Too expensive Too unreliable health wise Too much a hot head who refs already hate as much as Hughes. ....we gotta hit on an early round pass rusher next draft. Maybe Solomon shocks everyone? Maybe not...
  18. Yeah, a whole Lotta purple.
  19. I like Cook alot but I don't have any more faith in him catching passes then I do Bass making fgs.
  20. Because of all the new players and the great unknown, I'd say we're somewhere around 5-6. KC & SF are on top...3-6 could be any combination of Lions, Bills, Cincy and Ravens. 7-10 could be any combo of Dallas, Philly, Houston, maybe GB?
  21. Brady will have just a marginal effect on this season. The only way this team can get by KC/Cincy in the playoffs is 1) Keep your defense healthy 2) Tell your defense to make a play or 2. Josh will always generate points.
  22. Absolutely....this narcissist who talks out of both sides of his mouth will lose the locker room with another of his "go out and get high" 3 day Ayahuasca retreats.
  23. First of all a great rundown by Brett & EJ covering many topics. The EPA discussion was inciteful and to some degree accurate. Brady found a way to make a better and more efficient use of our ground game between the 20's. We found that less risky chunk plays allowed the offense to move field position. And we didn't need Diggs to accomplish this. There's alot to be said for praising the NE quick release style of offense as we saw opening night against the Rams 2 yrs ago. Our draft was above average and hopefully the defensive picks pan out. I didn't agree with their assessment that we still have a good pass rush or that Cook can catch the ball. I think Diggs & Davis will only be missed in volume, but not in clutch plays. Hopefully this gagle of slot guys steps up considering we'll go the whole season without a true #1. With Josh our floor is always around 10 wins. But because of this year's tougher schedule, I have our ceiling at 11. Coleman will be better than Worthy.
  24. Well we better pick someone up because reports are Bass looks worse than ever.
