Ben Solak (The Ringer) Analysis of Josh's Decisions this Year
LABILLBACKER replied to JohnRVA's topic in The Stadium Wall
At this point I'm not changing Josh. Let him be who he is. Yes there will be reckless moments and turnovers. But the entire JA17 experience is not something you should tame. He's averaging 40+ tds and a top 3 MVP candidate every year. Get a better HC and get a defense that can stay healthy for 10 minutes.- 153 replies

Are people really that unhappy with our 4-2 Bills?
LABILLBACKER replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
The players aren't trash, but the 2 primary coaches are. We're a DPI on Waller away from being 4-5. Yes losing Milano, DQ & Tre devastated this team. Even Von is a shell of himself. That's 4 key defensive players no team can survive. Even w/o these players, you should never lose to NE or NYJ. -
Bills vs Broncos-Monday Night Football
LABILLBACKER replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
It will be death by 1000 cuts. Just like the other crappy teams we failed to put away. -
McDermott has a huge role in Josh's demeanor this season. It's like he's not having fun anymore. He's being castrated and asked to perform 3 different offensive styles at the same time. Meanwhile he still has a garbage OL and no offensive weapon after Diggs. What could possibly go wrong?

We don't work any of these secondary wrs into the offense. Hines, Harty & Sherfield have basically been invisible. The money we spent on these 3 could've gone to an actual WR2. Sorry Gabe.....

Yeah, I'm not willing to waste Josh's 2nd half of his career on the assumption that McD will someday "figure it out". Sean has had 7 years and plenty of opportunities to display an elite level of game day abilities. His defense blew a 16-0 lead in Houston. His defense got run over in the 2020 afccg. His defense performed one of the all time (:13) meltdowns in NFL history a year later. And against Cincy, his defense gave up 14 points before I even had time to get to the fridge. If you grade him as a HR director, he gets an A. If you grade him as a game manager, he gets a C. And he makes sure he never runs out of scapegoats. I'm done...hire BJ.

McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
LABILLBACKER replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn't run through a wall for him. What a tool.... -
It was always McDermott...he's been forced by sheer survival to get rid of these guys that he himself hired. It's like when you pull out a weed yet the roots are still in the ground. It's gonna come back.

The title should read " I'm eager to fire McDermott"....listen Sean was the perfect HC to rebuild a culture here in Buffalo. But his well documented flaws can no longer be ignored. The best player to ever come to this organization is thirsting for an offensive mentor (HC). Sean and his designated OC have no clue what to do with Josh. It's week 10 and he's talking about experimenting with different styles. His in- game management is terrible. His clock management is terrible. He butt heads with Daboll because he wanted a more " balanced" (which is code for conservative) offense. Well if you really wanted a balanced offense, why did you & Beane waste so many picks on defensive players, instead of OL/ WR2 etc. I think McDermott peaked or maybe a better word is plateaud after 13 seconds. He has taken this group as far as he can. He'll never out- coach the more polished guys. This organization has some big contracts to manage down the road. I think it's more than time to thank Sean for his service and move forward with someone like Ben Johnson.

This isn't the time of year to be experimenting on which style of offense to use. I just think Dorsey & McDermott have no clue what offense best suits Josh's skillset.

Letting Josh coach himself was the incorrect decision
LABILLBACKER replied to Sharky7337's topic in The Stadium Wall
Stop protecting coaches Josh and trying too hard to be the nice guy. Come forward and tell the truth. Say what you feel and what we've all seen in living color since the Cincy/Diggs blowup...... "the plays and coaching are holding us back".....the time for protecting Dorsey & Dermott are over. -
Another Tre Hendrickson attempt to injure Allen?
LABILLBACKER replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
That play was egregious yet absolutely no call from Kemp's worthless crew. The more we lose the less valuable we become for the shield. And the less calls we get. -
McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
LABILLBACKER replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course it was the coaching staff. This team has finally realized McD & Dorsey can only take them so far. I think Stef wanted to make this issue public and Josh being the good soldier didn't. It's time for Josh to step up and admit this coaching combo isn't working anymore. -
McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense

Both very soon -
They could easily have first crack at Ben Johnson, who I think would immediately turn Josh around. Ben would also emphasize improving the OL and our WR2 situation. If we F this up and simply fire KD as Sean's 4th scapegoat it will be rinse & repeat.

...."stay humble and hungry"....I've never seen a guy resort to so many ridiculous slogans that amount to a big nothing burger.

We are now the worst defense in the league
LABILLBACKER replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Again last night our dbs were 7+ yards off the wr. He'll never change. -
Dorsey is for sure a failed OC, but guess what....Sean hired him just like Farwell and Frazier. He's officially run out of scapegoats. This is his cooking. And he's the one who insisted on all the defensive groceries.

I think this whole team got hit by a jetski.
