The Real Reason For The Players Only Meeting ???
LABILLBACKER replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
They all said it and they're right....if you have to call a players only meeting, the season is done. "Start making tee times".... -
Odunze has to be the pick. Not in that order
-
Exactly....I guarantee you there were more people in that locker room other than Diggs who wanted to blow up.

is there a HC out there worth going after?
LABILLBACKER replied to dbfla10's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, I'm probably only keeping Beane around long enough to select a quality offensive HC....Hopefully he doesn't Elam that job....then he's gone in 2025. -
Week 11, NJ Jest v. Bills - Predict the Score
LABILLBACKER replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
....but at least he ends the press conference like all the others with the tried and true "it starts with me"....which is code for "I'm still here suckers". -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - On Scapegoats and Five and Five
LABILLBACKER replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our defense is amazing in the 2nd/3rd quarters. But the 1st & 4th are trainwrecks. I don't know what the answer is to that but it's been going on for awhile. That's why it's so important to win the toss, pray you don't turn the ball over and score first. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - On Scapegoats and Five and Five
LABILLBACKER replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
So Shaw let's say for the sake of argument that Brady turns out amazing. Sean gets this one right like Daboll. How does that help us eliminate McD's bonehead game day mistakes. Or maybe Brady will turn Josh back into a confident elite qb and the offense will start scoring 30 again? That will at least mask the never ending mistakes Sean's bound to make in the future. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - On Scapegoats and Five and Five
LABILLBACKER replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
No he hasn't....Sean is just as culpable to this situation as the poor performers he's had to dismiss. This reeks of desperation. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - On Scapegoats and Five and Five
LABILLBACKER replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly....in I'm a manager and I hire 5 people who all require to be dismissed due to performance issues, I'm probably going to be in jeopardy myself from my superior. Look in the mirror Sean. -
I agree with all this but at my age if you think I'm waiting around another 15 years for things to change you're crazy.

Do the Pegulas Have What It Takes?
LABILLBACKER replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just can't see how he can screw this up. Let's say he fires McD after the season but decides to keep Beane. Brandon can't possibly ignore quality OC's like Ben Johnson, Brian Johnson, Bobby Slowick or even Harbaugh? There's quality out there who would love a chance to coach up a young Josh Allen. Now if Terry fires both guys, who knows what will happen? -
Do the Pegulas Have What It Takes?

I think the players have completely "tuned out" the process. He started losing the locker room when Diggs blew up. Josh didn't want to make waves so he kept quiet and rather than throw Dorsey under the bus, he played good soldier. Now things are worse. Dorsey leaving will not solve the long term problem. Process & Culture...humble & hungry....and whatever other slogan you want doesn't fly anymore. And only Terry can fix this. -
We've seen how amazing (2020, 2021) Josh can play. We're talking elite superstar qb. You also can't deny the effect losing Daboll has had on him. After that Dolphins game we looked unstoppable. It's still there in him. Someone, anyone needs to coach him back up and rebuild that confidence. He probably feels the pressure of having to carry a team who's lost half their defense. And yes JA has to grow up and stop making bonehead decisions. It's like we don't change the offensive game plan based on different opponents. We just always try to put the pedal to the metal every game. It's completely unnecessary.

We have to run the damn ball. All 3 tds v Denver came with heavy running. I know we don't have a top 10 OL to open up holes against the better defenses. But we desperately need to find a way of reducing these non stop turnovers. It's absolutely killing this team.
-
He can't possibly be as bad or worse than Dorsey. So let's support him. Hope he can somehow coach these turnovers out of Josh. Devise schemes that gets them some semblance of wr separation and continue to use James.

Who was behind the decision to fire Dorsey?
LABILLBACKER replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well with Dennison, Farwell, Frazier and now Dorsey, Sean's had 4 bites at that apple. When does it actually "starts with me" kick in? -
Who was behind the decision to fire Dorsey?
LABILLBACKER replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let me preface this by saying Dorsey clearly struggled these last 2 years and needed to be replaced. But he had nothing to do with 12 men, or 13 Sec, or blowing that late 16-0 lead in Houston. Sean has his own issues and it's well documented. His in game management and preparation is inconsistent. His concerted decision to emphasize D over O these last 6 years has absolutely effected our offense. " Josh you go out and be Superman while I continue to build my Defense"....this team from Day1 needed to be built around it's best player. And other than Diggs, that didn't happen until last season with Torrence & Kincaid. Most of the offensive fa's brought in by Beane have been useless. I'm encouraged that we'll have a new set of eyes running the offense. But I'm not naive enough to ignore more underlying issues with McDermott. -
I needed that man...and you're right. We need to all take a deep breath and re-evaluate the important things in life. Family, friends, retirement, golf, less stressing over this team. We have no control. Most players don't listen anyway, they're after the bag.
