  1. Classic , I love it. Things seem to go better when they pick against the Bills.
  2. Like Romo a lot, but not enough to cancel out Nantes, lol. If this one’s a keeper, I’ll rewatch and focus on Romo.
  3. Josh might be really amped up for this game. I wouldn’t hate if Daboll dialed up a deep shot right away to get that out of him. He sometimes struggles with easy touch passes, especially early. Josh hasn’t played in many national TV games if any, so something to keep an eye on.
  4. In the grand scheme of things it may not be, but this game just feels bigger than most.
  5. The immortal words of Hank Stram. Go Bills!
  6. Crap call. They need to get some of these “ roughing the passer” calls out of the game. That’s just a total joke. Was only one step.
  7. Not sure on the stats for how often both DET and DAL have both lost on turkey day, but I wouldn’t hate seeing DET win here.
  8. Okay, got it. Wasn’t sure if you were in agreement or not.
  9. Couldn’t tell you. What’s the point, though?
  10. That was a total bogus overturn to make up for the obvious miss of PF hit on Trubisky. That was called a catch and fumble on the field and no obvious evidence to support overturn.
  11. It pretty much is. A total pilfering of labor being sanctioned by the universities. Complete and utter theft. Read ( conservative columnist) George Will’s recent column on the sham of “ student athletes” while Colleges and administrators / coaches reap their millions. . I’don’t have a link, but it should be easily searched for and found. Great read and I completely agree with him.
  12. Me too. If not , I’d expect Feliciano at C with Long at G. Feliciano did a very good job in Morse’s place, and DAL starting NT is out today.
  13. Good question. Still a couple hours away from inactives being announced
  14. Maybe at Dallas in 1992 ? Other than that, I’d say 1992 season playoffs at PIT and at MIA. Hate to say it, but I can’t think of one that is more recent than that.
  15. Lol..Can’t stand that b&$#....picks against the Bills every week in some fashion ( fantasy plays etc). Shut it off today before her segment came on .
  16. Remember back in ‘91 training camp when Garrett and his brother Judd were in Bills camp ? I recall being at Fredonia and wondering what if any contribution they could make. That seems like such a long time ago lol I feel old. Anyway, go Bills and take it to those Cowboys!
  17. Strange, as the general public loves betting favorites. If sharps were betting the Bills huge the line should move. This one doesn’t add up.
  18. I believe this is being discussed ( photos and all) in another thread, but it’s a pretty good look. I’d prefer the all whites, but this looks better to me than the all reds.
  19. If you’re paying attention, the analytics / numbers “ geeks” have infiltrated sports discussion. I don’t find that all that interesting to discuss. Anyone who watches football a lot probably thinks coaches are too conservative. Again, the rules overwhelming favor offense. I’m not saying never punt, or anything like that ( although Schopp on WGR subscribes to that theory) just that coaches get too timid and try to gain a few yards of field position instead of trying to keep the ball and score. That’s my impression. Your mileage may vary.
  20. I’m really not a fan of all this analytics/ numbers geek stuff in sports. I just think NFL coaches are an overly conservative lot, and playing to win ( being smartly aggressive ) vs playing not to lose is a better way to coach a football team. All the rules benefit the offense, yet many coaches are timid when they have possession of the ball.
  21. Interesting stuff. I wonder what their average distance to go is on those 4th down attempts. The Bills have often gone on fourth and short, but lined up in tight formation and ( predictably) ran the ball up the gut. I know Vs LAR the Ravens went for it on 4th and more than just a yard or two. I’m not a fan of overly conservative play calls, so trying not to be biased here. I like the way Harbaugh is coaching that team.
  22. Look, I’m not an analytics expert and not interested in debating its merits. We’ve all seen conservative head coaches who punt from the opponents 39 yard line. I’m certain that using analytics should just be another set of data, not gospel. To me, it’s often just about the value of keeping possession vs changing field position by 20 yards or so. That’s what I mean by the numbers, not all the statistical jargon you’re throwing out there. Suffice it’s to say that most NFL coaches are too conservative, and Harbaugh is thinking outside the box with Jackson and with his offense.
  23. They go for it on fourth a lot ( analytics guy advises Harbaugh) , so that influences the numbers. Still, that’s confirmation that most coaches decide to punt too often. The numbers say trying to keep possession is often more important than a few yards of field position.
  24. I think Vinovich and crew are one of the better crews as NFL officials go. He’s pretty even handed, doesn’t shy away from calling penalties on NE ( always my litmus test) and doesn’t go out of his way to put his “ stamp” on the game. The Bills don’t have a great road record in the games he been assigned, but that’s probably more due to the team than bad calls by Vinovich. Not bad and I expect a pretty fairly called game without a ton of ticky tack stuff.
