It’s a key game for positioning in the division race but that’s about it. The Pats have lost at home several times already this season, so trading home losses wouldn’t actually be that crazy. Not predicting is but it’s not st all unlikely. This kind of thing happens often between division rivals. One meeting wouldn’t have an impact on the next. Playoffs are often about peaking at the right time and overall team health.

New Orleans is a great city to go see a road Bills game and party. That’s what it’s about. Now Jacksonville , that place was a dump, the stadium is awful and the fans were generally vile lowlifes.

Does CB Now Become a Necessity Early in 2022 Draft
Boatdrinks replied to thronethinker's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly ! We’re in the midst of a tightly contested AFC race and a surprisingly close division battle. Subjects such as the draft by Thanksgiving were the norm on this board for way too long! So much BBFS creep on here lately. We have a very good team now and these are exciting times to be a fan. Fans expect futility or a cakewalk, but tough close contests are really what’s most common in the NFL. Some fans are ready to pack it in at the first sign of adversity. That’s not what a long football season is about. -
It’s always a teams weaknesses that get them beat in the playoffs. The Bills Oline is hobbled right now , but they will be getting key players back there plus Star on the DL. Only one of those games you mentioned wasn’t close and one was a single play away from a likely win. There are no perfect teams in the NFL and any team can lose their first playoff game. This season is a great example of that. The Bills will go as far as Josh Allen can rage them. He obviously doesn’t need perfect Oline play to put up points. Colts are probably the worst matchup for the Bills but they may not play again this season .

Did they look great against that putrid Falcons team? I didn’t think so at all. Eyes of the beholder I guess. Or until they’re not. I’ll agree this one is a must win because of division implication and it’s the next game. Still don’t know what will happen over the next 6 weeks so we can’t really say they are ALL must win.

Lil Dirty - Benched (update - He’s back and better than ever)
Boatdrinks replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
My guess after this game is that McKenzie will be back vs NE. Message delivered. The kid was ok but he has a lot to learn. That bobble (and bounce right back to him ) probably sent McD’s go fetcher up in his throat. He’ll want the experienced guy in there. -

It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
Boatdrinks replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They may slightly, but so do smokers , boozers, drug addicts etc. At this point it doesn’t matter much with vaccine widely available and therapeutics on the way. People die every single day and it’s no different with Covid 19 around. And we know it’s going to be around. -
It's Time to Mandate Vaccines

Good post and I agree on all but the mask mandates. Nothing should be mandated imo but wear if one desires it for what minimal extra protection it provides. Forcing people to cover their faces at the demand of a politician or group of them is strong arming and a mandated show of obedience and compliance that doesn’t belong in a free country such as ours. The covering of ones face in public is far outside of American cultural norms and should remain so. It’s typically reserved for Halloween , frigid days on ski slopes, and bank robberies. -
It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
Boatdrinks replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The unvaccinated will prolong nothing. They will either survive Covid ( very likely ) or they won’t. Soon they will be able to take a pill to treat it . Most of us will get vaccinated to protect ourselves to varying degrees. The only prolonging is being done by politicians drunk on power and control. Poloncarz is a great example of this. Most people except for the extremely liberal/ terrified have adapted and moved on from Covid. Mask wearing tribalism over 600 days into this is overkill of the highest order. -
COVID health insurance exclusions
Boatdrinks replied to SectionC3's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Another awful take by C3. Not only does he want to enjoy the benefits of group health insurance, but he wants to exclude others so his slice of the cost is less. If you want “ fair” the only way to achieve it is to eliminate health insurance altogether and make all payments for health services out of pocket. Everyone pays the same rate more or less, just like shopping at your local stores or getting a car repair. Health insurance isn’t intended to make anything fair or splitting the cost equally. It’s spreading the cost of services that some will use and some won’t ( to widely varying degrees) among many to reduce the cost to the individual when it IS used. He wants to split a dinner check 4 ways but only put in $2 for the tip. -

Boatdrinks replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yep, lamebrains like Poloncarz will insist on both. Seriously, if even the vaccine isn’t going to stop Covid a mask surely won’t. Going back to masking at almost year 3 is about the dumbest move by the County exec ever. -

Most teams in today’s NFL don’t worry too much about giving up “ huge” running plays. -
They lost one terrible game to a team they should have beaten easily and were flat in the season opener. That’s really about it. Doesn’t seem like a huge difference, but in this years AFC it is. Their other losses are very similar to last year’s at this point. The loss in the closing seconds @TEN is last seasons loss in Arizona. The Indy blowout is last years debacle vs the Titans. The Bills sit at 6-4 when they were 7-3 last year. The Jags game is probably the one that flipped the script for this years edition. It doesn’t take much. After the gut wrenching loss to the Cardinals in 2020, the Bills never looked back and didn’t find themselves in the L column again until the AFC title game. They’ll have to go on a similar run starting Turkey day in the big easy. Do they have what it takes to complete their mission in 2021?
