Well, it’s true that gender “ identity” shouldn’t play a role in sports. Gender should, and that’s why there are men’s sports and women’s sports. The “opportunity” for an actual male to compete ( and win , for obvious reasons) against actual females isn’t something to fight for or rally around. It’s wrong and unfair. While I think Biden has been a spectacular failure in year 1, it would be interesting to know the reasons his polling is so terrible. And therein lies the rub; the quality of the students ( and their parents) largely determines the quality of the school . Teachers matter to a point but are we to believe all “good “ schools have all the best teachers ? There are probably a mix of great, good and bad. The students matter most, and while you may occasionally be able to polish a turd you probably can’t make a silk purse from a sow’s ear.
