  1. Oh god only one word for that name : P U T R I D !
  2. This is easy Top 5 Brady sitting on the turf with green confetti falling in him as Eagles win Super Bowl Pass falls incomplete and Brady loses Super Bowl to NYG Brady loses AFC title game ( Ravens, Broncos, Colts ) Brady throws pick to Sam Adams Bills go on to win 31-0 Brady knocked out for the year on opening day by Pollard ( honorable mention)
  3. Students failed? Clearly the scale (grading ) is systemically racist.
  4. Bengals didn’t use anything new in the game plan, just changed how often they were using it. Why? What they were doing wasn’t working. They were a play away from giving up 4 TDs in the half and were down on the scoreboard. The Bills were tied with the Chiefs at the half, so probably weren’t looking for big changes in strategy. Now , about that pesky 13 seconds though...
  5. Just watched the second half today. Looked like Mahomes was still seeing the ghost of Josh Allen out there. He was running around backwards trying to do too much. Surely some kind of hangover from the previous weeks game. Bengals did a good job stopping him from getting the edge when he ran. The Bills absolutely should have had a 3 man line at most in the final 00:13. Would have won easily even without a squib kick.
  6. But he has a cheetah on his team. Shouldn’t that be a push?
  7. Used to be true. Sadly neither are good anymore. Commercials are truly awful. The “ music “ in the halftime show pretty much blows.
  8. Judging from the Canadians I see posting on travel forums I’d say too late : it already is.
  9. He’s already gotten the “ treatment” the last season and a half. The Bengals didn’t do anything groundbreaking or even anything they didn’t already do in the first half. They just went to it more often, but they were down big as well. Josh is simply a freak athlete and does things that aren’t supposed to work, but they do. Unlike Mahomes, when he runs he sets up his next move and he trucks through defenders. If he has a bumpy 2022 it will more likely be due to the new OC and hopefully it’s not a whole new offense to install.
  10. Yes it is. Pretty crazy that it happens in consecutive years after not happening in the first 54 Super Bowls.
  11. Agreed. The Bills didn’t get demolished by Kansas City either. They beat them once and blew a game that they should have closed out in the rematch. fwiw the Bengals has the 26th ranked pass defense. Was it because they only played elite QBs in 2021 ? Rankings are just that ; they don’t win games for you. You have to be better than your opponent that day. No more or less.
  12. Never said it was relevant or valid. I’m not implying it is. Just that there are coaches in the league now who have been taught it early on in their careers and still believe it is.
  13. Of course not, at least in the early 90’s However that wasn’t the question or purpose of the thread. Coaches coach and GMs do what they do , but the roots of the defensive philosophy Are still the same. Dallas wanted to play their DL in waves / platoons to keep them fresh. Some coaches have been taught this philosophy over the years.
  14. They’re not screwing around. Just doing what they have to do. I believe the best move would be to hire Ken Dorsey as OC. There are many reasons, but his rapport with Josh and staying with the E-P offense are key imo. Don’t want any steps back offensively when they are an offensive team Yep. There’s plenty of fans on this board who are happy to see him go after running a top offense for the last 2 seasons. Doesn’t make sense.
  15. Or the opposite. They’ve had positive discussions with Dorsey but are fulfilling League requirements and maybe doing some favors for friends around the league as well. Networking is huge in the NFL.
  16. They’re doing what they are required to do. Besides it’s the NFL and unlike any other business. Experience / credentials aren’t the end all be all. The most “ qualified” candidate in a traditional sense doesn’t always get the job, nor should they. Teams get a sense for a candidate and if they are right for them. They may be a rising star but need a chance to prove it. May just be a gut feeling about a potential hire.
  17. You’re speculating. NFL teams operate in a small bubble and are very aware of coaches that work for other franchises. I could speculate That he’d likely get interviews and no one on the outside would give it a second thought. Anyway, the discussion was about perspectives / notions created by the existence of the rule.
  18. While the defense wasn’t at their best in this game two facts remain. The score was tied at halftime, and the Bills had the lead with just 13 seconds to go. You can always pick apart other moments in the game, but these are the most important points.
  19. Disagree. The rule creates the perspective not the other way around.
  20. Not a fan of the rule, but it looks like Martin has plenty of experience/ qualifications.
  21. Well, I’d expect the FO of an NFL franchise to be more wired in to the rest of the league than Joe Fan on a message board. Nothing earth shattering here.
  22. Regardless, Dorsey has the more important experience : working with Josh Allen.
  23. Ratings will be fine because it’s the Super Bowl. They won’t be boffo over the top numbers you would get if it was Brady/ Rodgers VS Mahomes/ Allen. That might set records. Anyway not excited and if the Bills aren’t in it then I don’t want be. One thing for certain though is I’d prefer a Rams win. The Bengals franchise has not won a SuperBowl ( like the Bills). Don’t want them to get off that short list of teams with no Lombardis. Don’t want Burrow to get a SB win before Josh.
  24. Media knows the NFL gospel: you don’t criticize Pat Mahomes. You don’t suggest there is a “ formula “ to stop him. Josh would be getting skewered today if he played like that for an entire half.
  25. Don’t know if they are or not, but Bills playing man vs KC ? I can only imagine the meltdown on this board. Might’ve needed to score 50 in that one. Maybe no Tre White changed their plans. Anyway the Bills lost it in the 13 seconds.
