  1. It is easy for them, but nothing to do with the NRA. They mostly get illegal guns. There are a lot of criminals and those who would harm us. . that’s why we need Cops.
  2. Well, there certainly are a lot of guns( mostly illegal ones) and lots and lots of criminals. That certainly leads to Cops needing to fire their weapons. Even in this case involving Wright, he had an outstanding warrant for an unlicensed gun. This will always be a problem because criminals don’t obey laws. Notice we haven’t been able to eradicate murder even though it’s illegal everywhere.
  3. What if the government was to cede the state of say, Minnesota as the exclusive such zone? Anyone who identifies as “ un-policed” can live there and only there. Kind of a huge experiment in “ social justice”. The rest of us can then get on with our lives. Could be. I mean, it was in California so certainly could happen in a place like Minny.
  4. Immunity from what? I don’t see criminal intent here but I don’t think she would be indemnified from civil penalty.
  5. So you mean she must receive due process? Let’s not forget the individual decided to resist arrest while he was being cuffed. His actions led to her taking action. Did you watch the video with audio. Seems pretty clear her intent was to tase the suspect. Of course she should not continue as a Police officer and will probably be liable in a civil sense, but I don’t think she should be charged criminally.
  6. This was the single most disturbing thing to me about the whole incident, after the obligatory rioting and the media activism during the police presser.
  7. That’s why it’s a mistake. An unacceptable one, but errors do occur. Did you watch the video and listen to the audio? It’s pretty clear what happened. Do you think she’s lying about what happened? What incident are both sides outraged about?
  8. Not a republican, more a libertarian. Totally disagree. Trump put the swampers and the complicit media in their place and called them out on their corruption. All political parties want to spend money , just on different things. Trump did good things for America, which was why they hated him.
  9. Out of millions of incidents of police contact. With what officers face every day, that number ( around annual average) is very low. On the flip side, we’ve lost over 100 officers this year already. The media-stoked hate against police is getting worse. Why are you comparing the two numbers anyway? Are you implying more officers should be killed to “ even things out”? The Cops are the ones going up against the actual criminals you know.
  10. She’s far far worse. Trump was probably the best US President since Reagan.
  11. Armed to the hilt with a service weapon and a taser ? If someone can’t handle that , they shouldn’t be a cop. The young man in Minnesota would still be alive if he hadn’t resisted arrest. He rolled the dice and it came up snake eyes. She’ll pay the price for her error, but fewer guns ? We’ve already lost over 100 cops in the line of duty this year, but the lamestream media won’t tell anyone that. Imagine if citizens got so outraged about the actual everyday crime in their community.
  12. It won’t go over well, but nothing would in Minnesota. It appears to be what happened, though from seeing the video. Absolutely unacceptable error by the Officer in question. The suspect had a warrant on him and resisted arrest which unfortunately for him led to the disaster. We will see what comes out of this investigation, but I’d like to know how many years she had on the force, and especially if she was newly hired due to defunding the police or some gender based quota imposed by liberals. Some people just aren’t cut out to be cops; they have an extremely tough job.
  13. You know, all the unverifiable paper ballots that materialized overnight on Election Day once the Dems knew exactly how many votes they were trailing by in swing states such as Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin etc. Geeez, do you EVER pay attention to what’s actually going on ? May have been true at one time , but no longer. The Dems and the media want to destroy the middle class and have a society of Elites and serfs. The left wants everyone to turn on their neighbor , not Republicans. Remember the call to rat on your neighbors here in NYS during Covid ? That was from Dems. Yes, they want complete control over our lives, but don’t include the Republicans with that zany bunch.
  14. Too difficult to quantify. Let’s say a criminal is shot while in a standoff with cops. He’s wanted for murder , now he’s taken off the streets. How many were saved ? Who knows ? Regardless, it’s a pointless exercise. As a US citizen you have a right to bear arms. Only a small percentage of shootings / murders in the US involve rifles. Mostly handguns, and mostly illegally obtained ones at that. The gun control ideas are a solution searching for a problem. The larger issue would bust a lot of currently popular narratives, so it’s not addressed.
  15. Check the current crime stats from first quarter 2020 and currently compared to pre bail reform. Wikipedia ? Massive generalization Lol ... I’m not making it up, even the liberal media reports that shootings are up. What do opioids have to do with this ? The liberal mayor of DC stated that carjackings are on the rise in her city. Did you miss the two teens of color that murdered an Uber eats driver while attempting to carjack last week ? Probably not covered on CNN lol Are the Police lying with their crime stats ? You can check these numbers from actual legitimate sources though. not the media. Crime stats are actual kept by cities. Even in Buffalo shootings are up ... 20 murders already in quarter 1. Was on WIVB website only yesterday, of course framed around “ gun control” lol even though the Police stated that the murderers are using illegal handguns.
  16. Crime is through the roof in liberal cities across America. Research the numbers yourself. Huge increases across the board in NY etc due to bail reform. Shootings up in Buffalo. The Police have their hands tied. Do you know what Marxism is ? Or which current media darling movement is openly Marxist ? As usual, you’re woefully misinformed.
  17. Probably even more so. With all the defunding of the police , bail reform , Marxist riots, tyrannical politicians taking power and restricting rights....More of us need to own guns to protect ourselves than ever before
  18. In this one rare instance, you may be right.
  19. Guilty and being found guilty in a court of law are not the same thing. Guilty people do walk free. This is true regardless of one’s take on Chauvin.
  20. Wasn’t murdered. It appears he suffered a medical episode. The only person shot was an unarmed female protester.
  21. True.... and will people stop saying “ plead the fifth”. The fifth is not a damn plea! Sorry for the rant lol
  22. I couldn’t disagree more. First, it’s become impossible to be too cynical about today’s media. They’ve earned that cynicism, and there’s no sign of anything returning to a degree of respectability. They’re 98% liberal activists. Which brings me to your thought on cops and why the cop you referenced has it wrong. The very few bad apple cops are not the reason cops are currently the biggest villains. Your theory on self policing weeding out the bad apples is just not possible. There are a few bad apples everywhere, in all professions and walks of life. If they were able to be weeded out by peer action, there wouldn’t be any. Anywhere. No employees who “ go postal” and shoot up the workplace. No thieves, embezzlers, molesters etc etc. It’s dream world thinking. The trouble isn’t the bad apples( they are indeed few ) , it’s the media. It’s politicians, and it’s social media. It’s a lack of perspective and critical thinking skills on the part of a hugely brainwashed segment of society that has been growing in number through media and school indoctrination for decades now. The few bad apple instances per annum are sensationalized and over reported, while the actual overall numbers of them are ignored, not talked about , and not paid attention to because they don’t support the narrative. Meanwhile, far more outrageous killings by civilians that were intentional acts are downplayed, minimized and buried in the back pages because truth is no longer prioritized. The media today sells racism. There was very little in the mainstream about the outrageous murder of an Uber Eats driver by a couple of teenage heathens trying to car jack him. They were so depraved that they were more worried about losing a cellphone when they were detained. That’s just one example. Twenty murders have occurred in li’l old Buffalo already this year. That’s probably an average weekend in a place like Chicago. It’s getting worse through misguided liberal policies such as bail reform. If this violence is brought up in the media , it’s usually through the lens of gun control. Never mind that such crimes are overwhelmingly committed with illegal guns. The fact is, annual police involved shootings in the USA are fairly consistent occurring around a thousand or less per year. Fatal shooting are less, and those involving unarmed persons of color even fewer. Last year was less than 15. Far more Caucasian suspects are shot ( about 400 per year) as well as Hispanics. A thousand police involved shootings is a spectacularly low number per year considering the number of police calls and the amount of violent criminals encountered. The media and Democrat party want people to believe that thousands of unarmed minorities are shot by police per year and the numbers tell a completely different story. Anyone can check them for themselves, but sadly most are too naive or dumb to be bothered.
  23. Was there doubt in the OJ trial at this point?
  24. Admittedly haven’t been following the trial much, but I se it as a case involving a ( probably) bad cop and a drugged out guy that passed a fake $20 bill. Never saw any indication that racism played any role other than the superficial fact that it involved a white cop and a black civilian. My take is that the force used was probably excessive but very unsure that it amounts to a murder charge.
