  1. Yes , or in the case of abortion when and how much the government should be involved at all.
  2. So the government should require a test be given for parenthood? Great , I’m all for it.
  3. My libertarian side agrees with you. The design of our government as laid out by the founders says they will be involved. It’s up to the people to decide the level of that involvement.
  4. And they won’t ; unless the will of the people in all 50 states doesn’t allow another person to perform a procedure on said individual. My best guess is that this will not happen.
  5. “ Jack” is confused. SCOTUS did not impose or end anything. One of these things ( guns) is in a Constitutional amendment. The other ( abortion) is not. They correctly ruled on what the States can and cannot do.
  6. Lol .. no it isn’t. It’s merely allowing or outlawing a procedure to be performed. Nothing to do with the woman, but with the person performing said procedure . Also women can vote, and slightly outnumber men. I’d venture men have an interest in allowing the procedure as well. All should be fine. Maybe a few Bible Belt states where few would want to live will have the strictest regulations. Not a huge deal as there will be plenty of places to go for abortions. They will still be widely available.
  7. Most people don’t believe that, and while I can’t speak for Levi I would doubt he holds that view. The response was factual and quite intelligent, though you may want to gloss over what actually happens in the procedure. Ultimately the States will decide and that is a good thing. Some may put restrictions in for ( rare) scenarios such as the one you mentioned. Most would probably not support it though and would likely choose to live somewhere else, or just travel elsewhere for abortions.
  8. Well there is a way, but that’s irrelevant here. Maybe not even driving , but consenting to getting in the car. Id say it’s more akin to driving without insurance. You wouldn’t want to do that. There are many types- iud , pill, condom, plan B etc. That car accident could get really expensive without those.
  9. No compromise in throwing the issue to the Federal government. It doesn’t belong there. It belongs to the people.. i.e the states.
  10. You really can’t. Some will try and say it’s the worst decision ever but it’s quite the opposite.
  11. Hmm. Sounds idyllic.
  12. It’s time for young people to understand how their Country’s system of government was designed . Perhaps they could actually read the Constitution, as well as its amendments. It’s interesting that staying true to that design is considered “ radical” and “ activist” while things such as playing make believe about gender are “normal”.
  13. Those questions will be answered in enacted laws. If the people don’t like them they will demand change. Or they will go elsewhere. It’s simply not a matter provided for in the Constitution. Nothing at all religious about this decision. Strictly a matter of the Constitution and States rights.
  14. I don’t disagree with any of this, but I’m also fine with the overturning of Roe. It’s just not a Constitutional right. There will be many States that allow abortions with varying degrees of restriction. If the people don’t want restrictions in their state they’ll vote in new politicians to change it or they will leave.
  15. It’s fine. There is no guaranteed right to fertility. Does that mean women will have to accept it ? Not necessarily. They can go where the procedure is legal. No right to inexpensive infertility treatments either. Seems an odd concern for a pro abortion individual though.
  16. So he couldn’t stand the heat after supporting bad policy. It’s just as well that he drops out as he would lose anyway.
  17. Praised for staying peaceful ? . Wow. Some zit-faced lone wolf loser of a teen strolls into town and shoots up a store full of innocent people shopping. He’s immediately apprehended and won’t see a day of freedom again. While the most justified outcome for the shooter would have been getting pumped full of 100 rounds of lead by the Police (being the coward that he is he turned his weapon on himself) he now must be dealt with alive. Perhaps the death penalty will be applied here? No matter how heinous the crime, we must maintain our civility. It’s expected in orderly society, not singled out for praise.
  18. Well, demographic groups don’t commit crimes in direct proportion to their percentage of the population. This pesky fact is more difficult to process when you see the world through a liberal prism. What percentage of murders are committed by Asian Americans? I know they’re supposedly “ over represented “ at Universities , but you can bet I didn’t hear that from a conservative news source.
  19. If Biden had visited Waukesha as well as Buffalo, his presence, words etc would ring true. He didn’t, thus the skepticism. Simple as that. The Bills are members of this community, so I don’t see a correlation to the POTUS here.
  20. Fwiw , Trump is correct. What is damaging to Democracy is the use of shady, unverifiable , unrequested paper ballots.
  21. I doubt it was the fault of law enforcement. More likely an extremely liberal psychologist that evaluated him, said he was fine and just needed nurturing and understanding because he was “ triggered” or some other psycho babble. The liberal mindset infiltrates and perverts law enforcement in NYS. When criminals are coddled law enforcement is weakened.
  22. The source is npr. That says a lot. What qualifies as a “ mass shooting” ? 2 or more? I agree nearly all of these would fall into the gang- related category, not a school shooting, store, theater etc.
  23. You don’t believe that Caucasians will not be the majority in the US? Demographers have been saying this since the ‘70s, way before Fox News was around. Anyway, you’re confused. The MSM peddles fear .. “ racism, Covid, Anti- gay LBG “blah blah blah. Their goal is to have everyone afraid of some existential crisis that requires more government intrusion to “ fix”.
  24. Sticks and stones Tibs, sticks and stones. He lives in a half baked dream world.
  25. A few years back when this myth was all the rage in the media, the total number all year was less than 20 (people of color shot by Police). That’s in a country of 330 million people. If you’re a criminal and point your gun at your own head / neck whatever, now the Police have to try to talk you out of it. Even suspected murderers get that treatment. This loser may have planned on going out in a blaze of bullets but he turned the gun on himself instead. Suspects get shot when they make sudden movements, reach in a jacket or toward their waistline etc . ie they don’t follow instructions. Tibs is a blathering racist who doesn’t pay attention to the facts and data. All about the narrative with him. There are about 1,000 Police involved shootings per year fairly consistently. More Caucasians shot than others. Truly unarmed is a very small number of individuals.
