Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme

Me too. I hate blaming officiating , but we didn’t get any calls of consequence today. -
Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme

Coaching was fine. A couple play calls questionable in goal to go, but players didn’t execute routine plays or TD’s would have resulted. This loss was not on coaching , especially with a depleted roster. -
A Few Thoughts About the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
Boatdrinks replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even with all that preceded this( Davis dropped TD, blocked / missed FG by Bass etc) this was likely the biggest play of the game and it’s a pass Josh hits 9 out of 10. His reaction showed he knew it too. The play led to the safety and the Bills getting another possession, but Josh failed there too. He was the only reason they were in the game yet also the one who didn’t come through when needed. Strange but that’s how it went. The D was fine save for the 3rd and 22. -
NFL Week #3 - Bills at the Dolphins - Post game thread
Boatdrinks replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel good about their talent and ability to be in every game, but make no mistake this was a blown opportunity that could haunt the Bills come playoff time. The Super Bowl is the only thing that matters for this group anymore and their chances took a hit today. -

Hard to call todays stat sheet a clunker. The Bills and Josh failed to close but they controlled this football game. This loss is definitely on the offense but it wasn’t a clunker on that side of the ball. -
Bills offense blew this game ( surprisingly ) and Dorsey knows it. On to Baltimore

Micah to IR (out for the year per his agent)

Not sure about this. The Bills already show extreme aversion to punting , run the ball only occasionally and continue leading the NFL in point differential as they did last season. My guess is they stay the course on offense while adjusting defensive strategy to account for Hyde’s absence. -
Micah Hyde seeking 2nd opinion on neck injury
Boatdrinks replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think there’s a designation for that, but the teams gotta win one for Hyde! -

Have to agree. Hyde’s awesome and this news sucks, but next man up. This team is built to win a championship top to bottom and the coaches will do a great job dealing with the challenges presented. Go Bills! -
We will see more of these endorsements as Josh’s popularity increases. It comes with success!

Do you have a problem with fans standing the entire game?
Boatdrinks replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe they are. I’ve never had seats in that section. -

Good point. Am I the only one who misses the bench seats? Always enough room in those. -

No, not really though I don’t prefer it. This isn’t a new phenomenon either. Most games it’s just standing for the big moments / plays. However in the ‘90s glory years my old section ( B 7) stood for entire playoff games. Regular season I’d prefer to sit sometimes. There’s nothing wrong with standing though if that’s the general mood of the section. Not standing doesn’t make one virtuous either, that’s ridiculous. -
Yep, I’m looking at this from a “ fantasy” perspective with an holistic approach lol. Kay was just annoying to me and never cared for her much so no great loss. Don’t like her replacement too much either but have only watched a few times.

Agree. Now , that Cynthia F on the other hand…. Put her on GMFB please.
-
Yep, it’s far from a sure thing. It’s definitely early in the season, but the NFC just doesn’t look too scary. Brady and Bucs will be favored vs any QB including Rodgers imo.
-
Can’t blame the guy for seeking sensibility and logic. I wish him well, unless he’s facing the Bills of course. Well, they play in the NFC. That means they have a pretty good chance.

Bills' ticket prices soar as new season fast approaches
Boatdrinks replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Interestingly enough, that didn’t happen yesterday. Prices in lower bowl remained upwards of $300 per seat from several hours to less than an hour before kickoff on popular resale sites. It was the season opener and all, but it defied the historical price fluctuation patterns. Maybe this is the new normal for Bills games. -
Yeah, maybe not. It seems like on the option -type plays he keeps it about 95% of the time.

Okay, cool thanks for the breakdown. So more risk on a designed run. Of course , the coaches know these #’s better than anyone. They do as they see fit and get paid a lot of money to do so. Personally I only had an issue with calling Josh runs with a big lead in the 4th quarter. A minor quibble but I trust they’ll make the right decisions going forward.

Nothing in the argument is conclusive on either side. Except for the amount of injuries and where they take place. That is indisputable as numbers are numbers. Josh often dishes out the punishment as well as takes it , no? Anyway, enjoy the boards!
-
Could be. Or it could be that the hits taken while in the pocket have them in a more vulnerable position to absorb it. Anyway, it’s a pointless exercise for fans to complain about the amount of times the team calls on Allen to run. The coaches will do what they see as the best for the teams goals. Winning championships and having Josh Allen as their QB for a long time. Doesn’t matter if we think he should run more or run less.
