Every one of these guys is a low risk move. If they turn up well in camp, then they provide an asset to the team. If not they get cut.

It’s amusing at some point. Yes they invested more high round picks on WRs. And yes most of them have not delivered.

I think we all love Josh, but his improvement will come when he uses the entire set of weapons at his disposal and does do all over the field as you suggest. And if Coleman can make big plays out of bubble screens, fine by me. Bring the D up closer to the line then let Samuel or Shakir get behind them. I think we have more weapons than many are giving credit for. Diggs to me fell victim to two things: 1. Brady wanting to diversify the offense more and 2. while I have no proof, I suspect Josh was sick of dealing with him and let McD and Beane know.

Different philosophies. The Bills have no reason to apologize for the trade no matter what happens. KC wanted a speed guy, we didn’t. We wanted a bigger guy for Josh. It may work out for KC because they have Mahomes.and Reed. The Fish have gone for speed but it hasn’t gotten them far because they have Tua.

I believe you win up front. I would have spent more capital in the O line. Give Josh more time then WRs get open regardless where they’re drafted.

And trading for Diggs. And Shakir is shaping up. I might have gone after one more somewhere along the way. You act like they can play 8 WR at a time.

Well yes, hindsight is great, isn’t it? Because we can go back years and talk about WRs drafted in later rounds that were great and guys drafted in round 1 that didn’t pan out. Over the last several years the Bills drafted a RB that is a good pass catcher in round 2 (Cook is working out), a TE (Kincaid is working out), and a WR (we’ll see with Coleman). And traded a # 1 for Diggs. Facts are stubborn things.

So now we’ll compare 3 guys against 2. That math makes real sense. You never answered if you would have drafted Reed or Diggs.

One guy out of several picks that have shown nothing. And Shakir was the go to guy under Brady. I guess you never would have drafted Andre. Or Diggs.

And how did some of their second round picks do vs. , say, Shakir? You are obsessed with what round a guy is picked. I look for talent.

Just discussing. What do you think the primary benefit is of a strong arm? If it’s throwing long passes then data has been shared on TBD showing that only about 1% of passes travel 40 yards or more in the air. I suspect that’s because it it a low percentage chance of success. To me Josh’s arm strength is shown on the intermediate routes when he can fit the ball into smaller areas. Or on out routes. I’d be interested in your video evidence. If by that you mean Josh isn’t seeing or throwing to open guys downfield that’s a different issue that play construction. Do the Chiefs play pretend Kelce is a WR?

I did look at data. Look at the data for the number of long throws. You are advocating for something that simply is not done in the league. And arm strength is more than throwing it long, it is about throwing a 20 yard out hard to where the DB can’t close. And so on. You just keep beating your drum though if it makes you happy.

I keep bringing this up, but in the entire league last year about 1% of passes traveled 40 yards or more in the air. Offenses are not based on long bombs. Allen's arm strength is shown when he can get passes into very tight windows and such. And getting better runners will take the pressure off Josh to run, which will theoretically extend his career. Mahomes has a big arm too, but the Chiefs offense is not based on long passes and they are very successful. When are you going to realize your complaints about the offense around Josh are simply off-base?

The general plan has been to give veterans who have not worked out due to injuries or whatever a shot vs. spend another draft pick on a WR. You know the top three guys now, just looking for #5 ( I assume Hollins or Shorter is a lock). If a guy like Claypool or Hamler works out great. If not they can get a guy during or after camp that doesn’t make a roster.

I think back a couple years ago to the game against the Fish where we had 2 rookie safeties and a rookie CB starting. And they held Hill and Waddle to very little. The Fish just don’t bother me much.

Bills fans conversations… Going into the draft: We HAVE to draft a WR!!!!! After the draft: Not THAT guy!!!! The week following: We HAVE to add a veteran outside/big WR!!!!! After adding one: Not THAT guy!!!!

They’ll win the division. The Fish lost too much on D and Tua ain’t the guy. The Jets can’t get out of their own way and Rogers will show his age. And the Pats clearly aren’t a threat. Once in the playoffs you got a shot.

If the kid can stay healthy he’s got a shot. People were clamoring for a speed WR before and during the draft. But we have Hamler and Isabella with speed. Is there really any evidence a guy picked in day 3 offers more? I suspect the WR room will look different opening day. Beane may pick up a vet FA after June 1, and once cuts are made may see a guy they like then.

Some think that some think the other. Look up ones where he wasn’t there for different honoree ceremonies and such. Regardless, the man has a wife who has apparently suffered a completely debilitation medical event. If that’s where his attention is focused fine by me.

Terribly difficult situation. I’ve read a lot about Terry supposedly being absent and not caring, particularly from Sabres fans. If this happened to your spouse you’d be with your life partner first and foremost. Anyone would. Or should.
