  1. Assuming we draft a kid McCown makes sense as a mentor. Played fairly well with the Jets. comes down to who Daboll thinks works best
  2. If they are rotating in and out starter doesn't mean anything. Have a decent rotation at DT now. i expect a LB next. Maybe Bradham.
  3. I will say again: anyone using the T word on this board should be banned from posting.
  4. All these guys can throw well enough and hard enough to survive at the Ralph. The depths people are going to in order to knock some of these guys is absurd. i don't think any of them are any better or worse than the next. They all have strengths and weaknesses. Odds are none are going to be another Kelly. And since I was 4 years old sitting in the Rockpile opening day 1960, you're all young whippersnappers to me.
  5. Doesn't matter which of the top 6 guys Beane goes after when he finishes moving up. All have strengths and weaknesses, and all have potential to be impact players or to flame out. The front office has infinitely more data to base their decision than me or anyone else here. So whomever the pick is, it just doesn't matter because I'll be behind the pick. You all can be Nostradamuses; I'll be content to actually watch the guy play before pronouncing sentence.
  6. There's a kid name of Brady that grew up in California....
  7. It was Manning's neck. It's Luck's shoulder.
  8. Living just outside Indy I would beyond stunned if Irsay ever traded him. But the way the off-season is going who knows?
  9. Every time I see stuff about this way of grading picks I'm reminded of hearing Polian laugh at the concept and saying no GMs take it seriously.
  10. He's in good shape regardless now. Has ammunition to move up and get a guy if he thinks there's a guy that's the long term future. Can stay where he is if he thinks the talent of this class is equivalent and get his guy. If he gets a young QB like a Keenum can use his picks for positions of need (Smith from Georgia at 12??). Trade back and get more picks. draft day will be interesting....
  11. Dude, you don't know what you're talking about. First, on several occasions I have said I expect they'll move up. So I tend to actually take your position. But unlike you who demand they move up to take a guy, I am smart enough to know they have access to a ton more data that fans have. If for example their data indicates Jackson is as good a risk as Rosen, they'd be idiots to move way up. Your opinion is one of desperation. Finally, three of the four QBs in the championship round last year were Keenum, Foles, Bortles. And two of those are available through free agency or trade. Maybe the paradigm of having to have this stud franchise QB is changing.
  12. If they believe one of these guys is a franchise type, do it. If not, don't. Not one of these guys is without significant flaws.
  13. There's your classic Bills fan. Not enough to break the streak, it's how you get into the playoffs that matters. When we win the SB some will be critical of the way they won the game.
  14. You think there's three HOFers in this year's draft? Not me.
  15. The starting QBs in the championship games included Bortles, Foles, and Keenum. Maybe the concept of having to have a star QB is changing.
  16. If they believe one of these guys is a can't miss prospect, they'll make the move to get him. If they feel a guy like Rudolph is as good as any, they'll stay put. there are going to be, conservatively, hundreds of threads about the same stuff the next few weeks. None matter. They are doing their work and they'll make the best decision they can.
  17. We can argue all we want but there are a couple things that remain set in stone. One is that Beane has said they have to have a WB. A second is that the front office has a lot more data on the guys in the draft than anyone on this board. A third is we have no idea if they'll move up or down because we don't have the data they do. And fourth is no matter who they take, there's a pretty good chance it won't be the right call. Not because they are inept, but because that is the nature of trying to identify a great QB. My guess is they sign McCarron and move up to get Rosen. But if they stay put and take say Rudolph fine by me. Ultimately none of us know if any of these guys will turn out any good.
  18. Other than bringing in an alien life form QB from a distant planet, you've done a good job narrowing down their options.
