  1. Again I don't understand the move. But I do think it's funny to watch the reactions. They make it up as they go along, they have no plan.... If there's anything we should know by now it's that Beane and McD think through their decisions. Doesn't mean the decisions pan out.
  2. We'll see. I like everyone am very interested to see how Allen does. I hope they let him loose -and don't try to coddle him. Of course it would help if the line and guys like Benjamin decide to play.
  3. Earlier this week there was hysteria over a RT from the practice squad, so this shouldn't becsurprising. Not that I understand the Kerley move.
  4. Yeah Khari. He's their blocking TE. Given they let a WR go andvthe state of the line I will be stunned if he sits tomorrow.
  5. I don't understand the move myself. The DT I get. I wonder if they see better matchups with the TEs vs. WRs tomorrow. Be interesting to see the inactive tomorrow. If Lee sits again I'll be scratching my head.
  6. I don't see why they did this but to say they don't plan seems silly. You just don't like their plan
  7. Question. Is it not correct that, to get the protection and nurturing you want, they would have used all their picks on other players and hence would not have drafted the guy you want protected and nurtured? Different ways to build teams of course.
  8. I could spend the rest of the day listing all the successful HCs in the NF L that were "inexperienced" as a HC before they got the job. I'll just start with a few guys named Lombardi, Landry, and Noll. And we could add from there. As for GMs there was a guy named Polian. You may have heard of him before. And a number of others. Again, it could take all day. The key is any organization, which I emphasized and which you in your usual way either refused to read or understand, is to have your HC and GM in synch. The Bills have that now. We'll see how they do. Oh, and to say Beane had no experience dealing with personnel is laughable. You are so tied up in wanting to put a negative spin on every single thing done at OBD that you refuse to read. Or you have no idea how to comprehend what you read. Go back to ranting about how Terry could care less about winning and just wants money from you. It's more amusing.
  9. Same old thing for years and years, huh? List the playoff teams last year. you probably won't because you'll be too busy ranting about how Terry just wants to suck money out of your wallet...,
  10. You clearly have no understanding of how the Pat's work or of how successful organizations become so.
  11. Incorrect. You have to give good coaches time to get things set in place. You think Cleveland doesn't regret keeping Belichick now? I see your point though, and would say that identifying a guy that will be a successful HC in the NFL (or pretty much any pro sports team) is about as difficult as picking the right QB. It is very difficult to figure out what coordinators have what it takes to make that next step up. Some excellent coordinators top out at that level and flame out as HC. Ryan was a perfect example. I was very skeptical when Terry hired him, because I never felt he was a good HC, while he was a great DC. Terry quickly figured out his mistake in that case. It comes down to having to have synchrony between the coaching staff and front office on a style of play, so you aren't changing schemes every three years or so, and then have to jettison certain players because they don't fit, and so on. You jus keep spinning your wheels in that case. Baltimore hired Harbaugh with no HC experience, and when Ozzie took over he had never been a GM. Just as one example.
  12. Brady Montana Unitas Graham Rogers/Manning
  13. The Pats have had one HC in Belichick through their entire run. They have had Scarrnecchia coaching their O line for years. When guys get hired away because of their success they promote from within. Nice try. The most successful teams decide of their philosophy, have the front office and coaches in synch n that philosophy so they draft the right players, look at the right free agents, etc. Steelers, Packers, Pats, Ravens. Let Beane and McD do their jobs. We'll find out in a few years if their philosophy works. It did last year.
  14. maybe they realize that the most successful NFL teams have continuity in their front office and coaching staffs.
  15. I don't see him as the type that will lose confidence. They had a plan: McCarron. Some wanted other guys like Bridgewater, but cap and/or not wanting to be a fill in waiting for Allen may have affected those. McCarron was the guy they thought could holdvthings down for a while. Two things happened: McCarton didn't play very well and Peterman did. So things changed. Why Peterman blows up in real games is a mystery to me, but he clearly did last week. So it's Allen time. I would have preferred Allen wait a bit. In retrospect I think I would have looked more at a guy like Anderson or Moore in the offseason (and certainly would be now). But if Breer is right, if Allen had played better against the Bengals he would have started last week and all these what ifs would be moot. So we'll see. It may just help if guys like Groy could hold a block on occasion and if guys like Benjamin could actually finish their routes and catch the ball.
  16. If you had waited to get all the stuff around him you want, you wouldn't have Allen. We'll get there someday. Of course being an old fart I had that time in '64 and'65.
  17. I mention it only in context of the comments that they don't know what they're doing. Generally clueless coaches and GMs aren't associated with playoff teams. i've said before and will say again: they have a plan. Let them execute their plan. If their plan is unsuccessful they will lose their jobs. If successful we'll all celebrate.
  18. Not reflexively. Critically. His criticism of not having a logical plan for the future flies in the face of drafting the QB and MLB you hope to have for years to come.
  19. I actually prance around in glee about thecAFLbchapionships. People keep projecting about this season and how bad the HC and GM are. Yet looking at actual objective criteria guess what? They got them to the playoffs their first year. I could care care less about what those outside the Bills fan base thinks about them. I've never even heard of this guy before. Why exactly should I care about his opinion? Talking about the source for the OP, not Tiki
  20. In that regard how is Terry Pegula any different than the vast majority of NFL owners, or owners of any professional sports team? As far as the NFL isn't it really only Jerry Jones who actually played anything hear NFL caliber football? Yet Bills fans are critical of Terry over it.
  21. Can you list for me again the playoff teams from last year?
  22. I agree, which is why the takes on firing the current HC and GM based on one game are ridiculous. We need continuity.
  23. Yeah, I don't think Allen changes at all going forth. But if the O line fails again, you have to change some guys there.
  24. They want draft picks because they want to build primarily through the draft. With what they did last year they were able to get the two premier guys they wanted, including the guy they see as their franchise QB and their defensive leader for years to come. And even using the picks they had to in order to get them, they still have ten picks next year and a ton of cash for the FA market. Here's what you would have done if they had traded a bunch of picks instead of Glenn. You'd blast them for giving up so many picks and not building through the draft. I still would have liked them to keep Watkins. But it's undeniable that for the past year he's essentially been a decoy.
