  1. For those saying the amount of injuries are absurd, how would you fix it? Shakir likely came down wrong on his foot to get a high ankle sprain. Not much the training staff can do there. I am all for having good stretching programs, and I am sure a professional training staff has those in place. This is just rotten luck in some cases.
  2. We tend to think we need All Pro level guys at each position which is of course impossible. But we should be pretty solid in the defensive backfield. At corner now with Hairston OK you’re going to have Benford as a shut down type guy, then Hairston and Tre battling it out. And a lot of depth with guys experienced in the system including Jackson, Hardy, and my boy Ingram, plus strong as a rookie. The slot you have Taron, you have Cam Lewis (who is a solid backup there and at S), and Hancock. I actually think this might be the weakest part of our DBs as Taron seemed to take a step back last year. At safety we’re all still a bit spoiled by the Hyde/Poyer due we had for so many years, but Rapp now has a year in the defense under his belt, Bishop as well plus the entire camp this year, and they will be starters. Then you have Forrest and Hamlin as veteran depth, Hancock to develop, and of course Cam Lewis if need be. I think the DBs should also benefit from better rush from the guys up front.
  3. It is so far. Also, I think our D line is going to generate better pas rush this year which should help our DBs
  4. Let’s hope Hairston is OK. Thankfully Tre is looking like he’s healed up. And my fellow UB alum Ingram will help fill the position.
  5. Mr. Scheib at Franklin Junior High. Math teacher who told us never to add “and” when talking about a number. Example: 242 is two hundred forty two, not two hundred AND forty two. I say it his way almost 60 years later.
  6. Because two stupid teams signed guys to guaranteed contracts.
  7. Just saw something that the procedure went well. Sounds like some sort of congenital heart drfect
  8. No. The general public does not have the knowledge to understand pharmaceuticals. That’s why we have doctors.
  9. We’ll stay just north of Indy where our kids (hopefully grandkids at some point) are, and vacation where we want to go. Unless our governor continues to make Indiana sicker and dumber.
  10. The issue with the Sabres to me are the players. Terry could be a better owner sure, but throughout the drought there have been very good players on the roster who have done great before or after their Sabres time, but didn’t perform at that level in Buffalo. What is needed is a captain that runs the locker room and will not accept anything less than maximum effort from everyone on the roster. Eichel wasn’t that, Okposo wasn’t, and I have my doubts about Dahlin. The players need to step up and play hard. Many of them go through the motions. My biggest example is Power. The next time I see him stand a guy up at the blue line or move a guy from in front of the net will be my first. I’d trade him and keep Bowen.
  11. Always loved Bobby Chandler! And Duby of course.
  12. As an old timer I like your list. I’d make a couple suggestions. I’d have Jerry Butler instead of Evans. I could argue for Joe D vs. Brown at G, but Brown was terrific. But love you D backfield.
  13. I’ll take Saimes over both Hyde and Poyer
  14. We live in a society of impatience now. When every single piece of information is available on your phone at the touch of a button, when people get ticked if they have to sit in a Starbucks line for more than 5 minutes, and so on. So now rookies in pro sports have to be great day 1, and improve after that. This kid seeks to have taken the criticism he got to heart and worked his ass off in the off-season. Good for him.
  15. Appreciate the opportunity
  16. TE has been lacking to be sure. You also didn’t have a FB, but if you wanted to include one I’d add Cookie. Braxton was also really good.
  17. Kirby asked for a starting lineup. TEs are usually included.
  18. Looks like he’s worked his butt off this off season. We’ll see how he does.
