I think it is much more likely he gets better vs. worse.
Yes, I watched some film. No, that not make me an expert in any way, shape or form. Just like you, the difference being I accept that.
How many truly explosive weapons are there in the league? I am sure Beane is looking. Best thing for the offense now is to get things worked out with Cook.
But he is basically what people clamored for on day 3 of the draft. A speedster.
And right back at you. I’m not the one pretending to be an expert.
You have guys like Hamler who are precisely what guys are moaning about not getting on day 3 this weekend.
I have watched some. Palmer upgrades Cooper. What was your solution in this draft? There weren’t these stud WRs you apparently want.
Shavers takes Hollins spot. We’ll miss Hollins more on special teams than anything. Palmer upgrades Cooper. I cannot for the life of me understand all the angst over a WR #5.
Palmer, Coleman, Shakir, and Samuel are your top 4. Shavers is #5 and takes the role Hollins had. They got Palmer because statistically he separates well and gives them a downfield threat. Next.
Incomplete as I would grade any draft until you see how guys pan out. But a draft is supposed to shore up weaknesses and our D has been the issue. So it was good to focus there.
We signed a guy in free agency that has a high ranking for ability to separate. Now give me a day 3 guy that we could have gotten that would have given us anything over guys already on the practice squad like Hamler.
You have a guy like Hamler sitting on our practice squad with speed. You also got Shenault in FA. And Palmer has shown he gets separation downfield. Do you honestly believe some random 4th round pick is the answer to a question that Brady seems to have answered? If he just wanted a guy with speed last year he could have elevated one and didn’t
We’ll see what the kid has. It wasn’t a good draft for WRs. I continue to laugh at folks who complain about not helping Josh by not drafting some WR in mid rounds when we already have guys on the reserve squad like that. We improved the WR room with Palmer and by extending Shakir.
Biggest priority now shifts to Cook and his contract.
