  1. Not sure we can make that determination with any certainty. Sure, the odds are that we should at least stumble into a playoff berth eventually, but are we building a championship contender? Nobody can answer that with confidence. Championship contender hinges on getting some cornerstone players in the draft with our 2018--2019 picks, and we don't even know who that could be yet!
  2. Cam looks rusty, no doubt. I think he'll settle in nicely, especially as McCaffery and Samuel get comfortable. 2-0 as they figure things out is just fine.
  3. Yes, let's rush to put the 5th round QB out there with poor weapons at WR & TE. That will go well. The most popular guy in town is always the backup QB. Dak was held in check by Broncos, but I think Tyrod is quicker. Maybe him or Shady can pop one.
  4. Not sure you can say the Bills D is stout quite yet, the shut down the Jesters and a QB coming off shoulder surgery who didn't play in the preseason. I think they are quite good, but haven't really played anyone tough yet. Broncos handled Philip Rivers & Dak + Zeke very, very well. Only way we win is if defense scores off a takeaway and Shady goes off. Our WRs don't stand a chance against Talib, Harris and Roby.
  5. Denver's supporting cast on offense is much stronger for QB success. Siemian is certainly better than Tyrod right now. He's got 7 TDs already! Not liking this matchup at all.
  6. RIP Tyrod. Broncos have been excellent on offense this year, very balanced. Not a ton of big plays, but they are nickel and diming defenses. Broncos D is playing better than the 2015 version. A+ against the run & pass.
  7. What did the buffalo say to his kid when he left for college? "Bye, son!"
  8. Chiming in here... These companies infuriate me. While I have a tough time calling them a scam, they do an incredible job of painting a picture of success that is unobtainable for a vast, vast majority of their "employees", and for those that defy all the odds and reach the top of the organization chart, the payoff is unfulfilling. First, they describe the opportunity to be a business owner, an entrepreneur, etc. What a crock of bologna. You own nothing. You are essentially a 100% commission, no expenses paid (don't fall for the "you can write off X" pitch, tax writeoffs are not the same as expense reimbursement) , direct sales rep that they are classifying as a contractor. All the risk of starting a business is carried by the MLMer, but the rewards of entrepreneurship are never fulfilled. If you are working for someone else is any sales capacity, they need to have some skin in the game, usually through a combination of paid training, base salary and expense reimbursement. Second, the need to recruit others to succeed only leads to more saturation & competition. If the product was so great, why do you need to recruit others? Their are e-commerce tools that allow you to sell more product with less human resources needed than ever before. The last thing I want to do when building a sales territory would be to get 20 competitors from within my sphere of influence to start working the same people as me. Finally, the juice just isn't worth the squeeze. My wife's close friend is very high up an org. chart within a MLM company. I would bet they are higher than 95% of people that ever get involved. It is their primary income, and they are quite good at it, but make no mistake, they don't have a new loaded Audi in the driveway and a rustic retreat in Lake Placid. Their title screams ~$200K, but I'd be shocked if they made more than $60K at ~30. It's not like things get easier. The hustle is recruit more reps and drive more sales never stops. I wonder how much cash they would make if they took a traditional sales career path, where many of the benefits of MLM (setting own schedule, building a territory within your natural market, etc.) can play out. The reality is this: there are no shortage of MLMs, pyramid schemes, financial agencies, real estate companies and other business models that would gladly ask you to work on 100% commission, make you cover all expenses, sell to your natural market and commit as little as humanly possible for you to succeed in the role. If you beat the odds and get past the 90%+ churn rates that are common in each of these professions, you may not find as many piles of cash at the top as you expected. Watch out for these groups, and tell them to !@#$ off. The MLMers are bad, but the worst offender is still CYDCOR, and all their "independently owned offices". Lots of horror stories out there.
  9. Well, I don't think they had a gameplan for Kareem Hunt. Dude looked like Marshall Faulk out there. Tyreek was amazing. He's certainly took the next step from gadget player.
  10. Shady has a 1300+ yard season. Zay Jones catches 70+ balls. Tyrod buys himself another year while our 2018 1st round QB sits on the bench.
  11. Another myth... Very few teams, if any, are able to take pure BPA, which is also impossible to define based on the very different draft boards between teams. It is always a priority to fill a key position of need.
  12. Broncos coach Vance Joseph was asked about this a few weeks ago and basically said it didn't matter. Each player has a blocking assignment and you either make the block, or you don't. "Gelling" has nothing to do with it. My favorite: "That player would be good if you gave him the ball in space."
  13. If it hits, here comes another round of victim shaming for those who stick around and social media lynch mobs for those who aren't "helping in the right way". There will also be countless stories of normal people helping others in extraordinary ways. Hope it swings east fast.
  14. Always Under Diagnostic Inspection
  15. At least they can cook a brisket. You Carolina chumps stumble through pork shoulder, which my 2 year old could cook, and slather it with **** sauce and coleslaw.
  16. I don't think the guy is amazing, he's underachieved for 2 years and missed time due to conduct, but he's going to an awesome situation. VIBES to Jermaine Kearse.
  17. That’s two young, 2nd round draft picks, that couldn’t fit into our scheme. I’m struggling with that.
  18. Me too. They took out a bunch of seats above right field at Coors Field, turned it into a 2 story bar. $14, with $6 going to food/drinks, to get in. It's always packed. Those seats sucked in the setting sun but I bet they make a killing on it.
  19. Cleveland and the Jets got rid of fading veterans and big contracts, and are investing in youth they think they can develop. I think they'd rather get these guys reps and let them learn on the fly. It's as close as you're going to get to tanking, but the reality of their situation is that they're terrible teams who couldn't buy a win. The only time I really suspected a team to tank was the year the Colts went without Manning, but I think that team was poorly coached and was completely deflated without Manning leading them out there.
  20. Yes, this is what gets me about the whole "tanking" argument. What if the guy you wanted stays in school, or shreds his knee in the bowl game like Jaylon Smith? There are too many factors at the NCAA level to be able to tank effectively.
  21. You need to have smashed at least three folding tables.
  22. He proved his rookie year he has the tools to develop into a long term starter. Last year, sure, certainly wasn't as consistent, I don't think that means he's some bum now. He gets torched all regular season, then yes, we came out ahead on this deal.
