  1. 3 all time greats from the 1983 draft, can't go wrong with any of them. I'd rank them Elway->Marino->Kelly, but the gap between each is tiny. I do think that Kelly played with the most talent throughout his entire career. Marino did the most with less. Elway went out on top like few players ever get the chance to do, that was special. Eric Dickerson and Bruce Matthews from that draft too, incredible.
  2. Mazlatan, Mexico....anyone ever been? 4:20 of totality! I'd be down watching the eclipse from the pool bar.
  3. I think the team just proved they don't want to invest that kind of cash in the WR position.
  4. The reality of the scenario is that OBJ is a top 3 WR with a resume like no other receiver we have seen in the history of the NFL, and I don't think he's hit his ceiling yet. Sammy can't hold his jock strap.
  5. The hype was over the top for areas outside of 100%, but if you were in it, no way, the hype is real. I have not heard from one person who wasn't blown away by totality. Even at 98%, you are not getting 98% of the "total solar eclipse" experience. Totality or bust.
  6. LOL - you would think these crazy posts would end with Sammy gone, but they keep on coming. I've responded to so many of the Sammy >>>> OBJ posts I've lost track. Hilarious that people even try to create that argument, like it's even close.
  7. I hope you haven't been living under a rock and have somehow missed the incredible pictures posted on every news site around, but in case you have... 360 degree sunrise/sunset colors through the sky. Day->night->day in minutes Corona visible with naked eye Diamond ring & Baileys Beads Rolling shadow of the moon, most noticeable if you're on a high piece of land and see the shadow racing at 2000 mph toward you. The strange view of the sun blocked by a black mass. Ask anyone who was in totality and they will tell you how mind blowing it is, but if you're outside of that strip, you won't know....
  8. Good video that shows how quickly it got dark, then light again, in Jackson. https://pjmedia.com/video/cbs-reporter-absolutely-blown-away-solar-eclipse/ Totality is just a different ball game! Friend of mine is working in Moran, WY, called it a all time memory.
  9. Already told Mrs Electric that this is "forced family fun", 7 years out - #totalityorbust We'll be booking flights to Austin and Buffalo on Southwest, make a call 48 hours before based on weather. Early April in Buffalo doesn't offer the best weather conditions, but who knows what happens... I'd put Jackson,WY or Sun Valley, ID as #1 spots to view 2017, but 2024? Niagara Falls might be the top destination in the country.
  10. Wouldn't sting so bad if Mike Evans, OBJ, Cooks and Landry were garbage players.
  11. I'm not disagreeing with you on either of those points. That was in response to Chef's comments about 60% = noticeable cooldown, that I call B/S on. It is established that eclipses can modify weather, but again, without being in totality, you're not really getting anything that noticeable, unless you think 4 degrees and a 5mph wind speed change at 90% qualifies as such.
  12. Yes, 100% vs even 99% is significantly different. The sun is quite bright after all. You don't need to be an expert to tell that not much happened for those in areas below 95% today. The effects were minimal and barely noticeably. All this will be moot in 2024, got to see that for myself.
  13. Chef was at 60%, two cities I looked at near 70% showed a 1-2 degree temperature drop around eclipse time, which may not even be related too the eclipse (Boston & LA for reference). There was a 4 degree temperature difference here at 92% peak. 100% was reportedly 10-15 degrees, depending on location. So noticeably cooler at 60%? Not buying it. Now, darker? I guess if you want to argue about the indigo hue, which was noticeable, sure. I didn't think it was darker. Friends who live in northern UT and Fort Collins and were closer to 96% said the same. Shrader said the same thing about 95%. The effect was like you boosted shadow & highlights in your photo editor for 20 minutes. That's it. Not dusk or dawn, not evening color, just a ever so subtle change.
  14. BS meter going off, BS meter going off... You enjoying "Dark Side of the Moon" and some treats with your eclipse? 92% here and you barely noticed anything, outside of the indigo hue.
  15. 92% - pretty underwhelming. Didn't get dark, no noticeable cool off, very anti-climatic. There was a nice filter on things, effecting the highlights and shadows, but otherwise, meh? 2024, no messing around, Austin or Buffalo totality, here we come.
  16. Both are a waste of time, just go to a stripclub if you want to see boobies. Overpriced food & drinks and a cheesy environment. No wonder their numbers are dropping.
  17. Steph Curry has what to do with this? He's one of the greatest shooters of our generation. The play calling could be improved, and certainly the QB play was inconsistent. No doubt. Just saying that's not all of it. You have to put some of the blame on Sammy.
  18. Football isn't that easy. You can't just up the percentage targets/touches and get the same percentage output. It's convenient to blame it all on the QBs and scheme, but there's more to it than that, and some of that falls on Sammy.
  19. Marvin Harrison, TO, Randy Moss, all insane. I'm 29, I didn't really see peak Jerry Rice, so can't put him up there. I know he's still establishing himself, but OBJ is already up there. I can't think of a guy with a better highlight reel in his first three seasons. Of course, his stats are undeniable and unprecedented.
  20. Yep - clearly the raw tools are there, just haven't seen it all together yet. Folks like to bring up that he hasn't been in a perfect situation for production, possibly due to scheme and QB issues. This is true, but all but a few teams in the NFL could say the same thing.
  21. Darby is 23. He's cheap. He has performed at a high level at times through his first 2 years. I just don't get the rush to move him. In terms of "buy in" and "scheme fit", that reaks of hogwash.
