  1. Wildflower garden is 17' x 20' 1 raised bed at 6' x 6' 1 raised bed at 15 x 6' Random containers all over the place. Within the beds, I have asparagus and grapes for long term. Current cool season crop of spinach, kale, taters, lettuce and broccoli. We'll swap them out in mid June for warm season crop of tomato, cucumbers, sunflower and pumpkins. Containers have rhubarb, currant and lillies. Also working on getting a nanking cherry and gooseberry bush established.
  2. DE/OLB pass rusher, but the thought of an ultra elusive GOAT RB out there is really appealing.
  3. Russ to Beane: "Don't let him out of the building"
  4. I'm glad they don't see an Andrew Luck out there. He hasn't been able to throw a football in over a year! Baker and Rosen can sling it
  5. "They were the target all along" "We couldn't believe he was available where we took him". "We were unison that this was the right pick for the Buffalo Bills". Standard draft coachspeak
  6. Good article about success rates of drafting... https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2015/2/20/8072877/what-the-statistics-tell-us-about-the-draft-by-round You have to develop these guys. To find an above average or elite starter, like Thielan or Kelce, in those rounds, you have to beat the odds. When building a team, would you rather play the odds with a rookie, or pay for certainty? There are pros and cons to both. With Landry, you are paying for certainty and continued growth. Clearly, he is a beast on the short routes, but can his game grow to more intermediate routes as well? I think it's reasonable to think he can further develop as a player. NFL teams are not perfectly rational, they all make boneheaded decisions, even the Patriots. It doesn't make sense that Kirk Cousins walked for nothing and Marcus Peters got traded for peanuts either, but they did. Getting Landry for a 4th is pretty silly. Based on that article, there is a 12% chance of finding a starting WR with a 4th round pick. 12!!!!!!
  7. Yeah, but you can't get Adam Thielen, that's kind of the point. There is no player for half the cost walking around. Thielan was also a one year wonder when he got his deal. With Landry, you are paying for some certainty. There is an impressive track record with multiple offensive coordinators and QBs. Doesn't matter the situation, he produces. Travis Kelce is one of the best TEs in the game. There is nothing easy about finding a player of his caliber. Doyle is pretty good too, but it took him three years to start producing! Three! Landry already had 300 catches and 3000 yards at that point in his career.
  8. Tyrod is a guy you can win with, and he protects the ball. His negatives are well known, but he can at least give them a few wins and create some stability while they bring up their future QB slowly. This was an 0-16 team after all.
  9. There are receivers with injury concerns and less productivity getting similar salaries. His guaranteed $$$ is high, but so what? Landry is 25 with his best years ahead. They are getting a new QB and he'll benefit from his talents. The market has told you what he is worth. Remember a few years ago when Julio, Dez, DT and AJ Green all got ~$14 million per season deals? The cap continues to rise and playmakers are always in demand. $15 million is fair and reasonable.
  10. Cool. Gloss over total production as much as you'd like. You don't find guys like him on the street walking around. I'll say it again, productive, young and durable players are always expensive, especially when their best football is ahead of them.
  11. Check back in when he grabs another ~95 balls for 1100 yards or so.
  12. I feel we got into a similar conversation last year on the same topic about Sammy? These advanced stats are a little silly some times. Bottom line, there are guys who produce at a high level. Landry is one of them. There are others where you can cherry pick certain numbers to fit the narrative, but they never really put it all together. This is a league where it's all about moving the football forward. He's a superb option. His talent in the short routes almost serves as an extension of the running game. If they all those have better reception rates, yards per separation, blah blah blah, why don't they perform better than him? As mentioned by a few other guys, the market has spoken. $15 million is the going rate for an upper tier receiver. 400 catches in 4 years says that Landry is exactly that.
  13. It's a sweet hat, I'm a fan! I'd rip them if they put "Bills Mafia" on the front
  14. The best player available, based on their big board, at a primary position of need. If I was a betting man, I'd say they are going to find a way to Rosen to Orchard Park.
  15. Every year, there are reaches and slides. This year will be no different. We keep seeing the same players in the same places. All these mock drafts are the same with minimal differences in draft order. The actual draft will play out dramatically different that we expect. It be crazy to have 4 QBs go early, but stranger things have happened. Embrace it, it's part of the fun!
  16. Yes, but I would focus on the why. There is a reason he sees so many targets, and that's because he has some of the cleanest routes and softest hands in the league. Teams don't hand out touches like candy (remember all the "Sammy needs touches" talk?), you have to earn them. Despite mediocre QB play and three offensive coordinators in his first four years, he has produced at a high level. Tape don't lie. Possession receiver? Sure. He is not particularly explosive downfield, like Beckham Jr, but he knows how to get open, separate and win on the short routes. There are plenty of teams who would love to have him in their offense. Browns knew when they traded for him that they would have to pay him. Young, durable and productive players entering their prime are never cheap.
  17. There is nothing easy about finding receivers who can grab 90+ balls a season. Have you seen the success rate of 1st round WRs lately? Spoiler alert, it's bad.
  18. It's not a bad deal. They have a ton of cap space and Landry is very productive. The market has spoken and great receivers are getting 14-15 million. His best football may be ahead. Dolphins have always used him in that quick route slot role. Maybe the Browns can send him more than 10 yards down the field?
  19. Too much of a jock....lol. I guess we see what we want to see....
  20. He has a confident personality, I like it. Would you prefer someone to walk the line and say they look forward to learning the system, just doing what the coaches ask, helping AJ McCarron? Man, all of these QBs are such great prospects. I'll take any of the big 4!
  21. Nah, sophistication is a bit much, as is a scholar. His history is well known, I'll leave it at that.
  22. Good player, but whatever. Dude was the definition of "meathead prick".
  23. No snaps in the regular season. He must be THAT bad.
