  1. Rumors....yeah, just like the Bills trading up with the Giants. Plenty of hot air around here these days. I didn't follow the Eagles during the regular season, with his fractured ankle, I can't comment on how effective he was.
  2. I didn't say it was, but you will never have a room full of choir boys. Every team has players with "character issues" that get away with some stuff because they are talented football players. When was Darby accused of not being someone who worked and played hard, or in your own word, a malcontent?
  3. He showed excellent ability year 1, and had a bit of a sophmore slump. I chalk some of that up to the sinking ship that was Rex Ryan in 2016. The ability and talent to become a top tier corner is there. You can never have too many good pass rushers, corners and offensive playmakers.
  4. I still believe we should have kept him. He was 1) good 2) young and 3) cheap. "He didn't fit the scheme" and "He didn't buy in" are really weak excuses.
  5. Yeah, if eat the entire chocolate bar. Stick with the serving size and you are fine.
  6. I don't think so. QBs in the top of the draft are worth a big premium, much more than what the "value chart" says.
  7. Exactly. They may see them all as elite prospects that could fit their system. If they get their guy, those 2nd rounders will be forgotten quickly.
  8. I wanted to highlight this...very good point here. I don't know which QBs are going where, but I do expect them to go 1-2-3. Barkley is an exception. He has HOF traits. He's going at #4 or #5.
  9. Agreed - I have reasonable confidence we will see QBs go 1-2-3 (not buying the Giants lack of interest), giving the Browns the best prospect in the draft in Barkley. Giving up lots of draft capital to go up for the 4th QB prospect wouldn't be ideal.
  10. They will have a preferred QB prospect in mind and will draft him at #1. If Barkley goes #2, they might be willing to move #4?
  11. Both look the part of "consistent championship contender", and the #1 reason is the play of their QBs.
  12. I'd be surprised if there was anymore movement until the draft. If anything, the Jets move to 3, signaling a QB, makes those spots even more appealing. It's a greater chance at an elite prospect sliding down the board. In March, you are not going to get those teams to slide back to 12 for a 2nd round pick. They have all the leverage right now and can demand a premium. Come draft day, when all their targets are gone and they have some flexibility? Maybe you can get away with a deal closer to the value chart, but not now.
  13. Of course it would, but we have to get there first, and do the Bucs even want to move? It looks like it would take 1300 points to move from 12 to 2. The Jets had to pay ~600 extra to move from 6 to 3. Let's put a little on top of that and say it takes ~2000+ to go from 12 to 2. You add two teams into the mix, trying to go from 12 to 7 to 2, and I bet its more like ~2300+.
  14. Mason Rudolph at 12? Ugh - this is like preparing for a perfect 10 oz filet from the best steakhouse in town, and ending up with a chewy piece of brisket.
  15. If you added up all the picks in the chart, I would bet it is quite a bit more expensive to go from 12 -> 7 -> 2 through 2 different teams, than going from 12 -> 2 with only one team.
  16. I'm really struggling to see the Giants move. I know we love our value charts, but the Jets had to give up 600 extra points to move to #3. Colts likely know that there will be a QB blitz early, with 3 possible off the board before they pick, so an elite player at other positions should be available. Can you say the same by moving from #2 to #12? With the Giants reasonably considering QB, I just don't see any "fair" deals happening, they'll bury us.
  17. You think we're overusing "trust the process" much? Geezus
  18. They should go QB. Eli has been fading for years and is 37. However, GMs don't always think rationally. Barkley and 3 QBs 1-4 is the worst case scenario for the Bills.
  19. If the Bills got there, this place would be thrilled. This basically guarantees that 2 QBs go in the top four picks. It is reasonable to believe that the Giants may also go QB. Is it going to be worth it to go for the 5th through 8th picks if the top 3 QBs are already off the board?
  20. It's certainly possible, but we'll never know it. "He was the target all along"
  21. He is giving generic "coachspeak" responses. That is not lying. "We're looking for good football players" - well, I hope so! After our 1st round draft picks, regardless of who we get, you know what the response will be? "They were the target all along". "We're excited for what he can do for our football team" Blah, blah, blah...
  22. 20 minutes of hot air. Plenty of talking, nothing of substance. They are pro poker players, they are not showing you jack.
  23. He doesn't offer much as a pass rusher, why pick a one dimensional player with a top 12 pick?
