  1. Geezus, the offseason is really hitting us hard, huh? Talk about taking a crumb and running with it.
  2. Sounds like the same guy that Jauron brought on years ago.
  3. I think it's safe to say that the move to LT would be permanent....
  4. I get your point, but the Bills should have took it on the chin, payed the man and secured that position for the next decade. He's a HOFer at arguably the second most important position on offense. That stings.
  5. McD lays on the "coach speak" heavy. It's lame, but I understand why he does it. Rex would be hyping up the season big time! "We just got Tremaine Edmunds and Josh Allen, I'd say we won the offseason"
  6. I'm no doctor, but I am sure they had their reasons.
  7. I'm sure each of us have heard different things, I certainly have heard plenty on JKs situation (FWIW, I've got a very close source), but this wouldn't be the place to share them.... I think what he's told the public is all that anyone really needs to know.
  8. Bortles was not the reason they lost the AFC Championship, he looked great. Hopefully he can keep improving.
  9. JK is a tough son of a gun. I bet his mindset is "Hunter had it worse" !@#$ Cancer
  10. She ranks high on the "Instagram Fitness Chick" ratings. You see Von MIller's new fling Megan Demise? She turned "Curves" up to 11, although that may not be a desirable thing for some of the neckbeards....
  11. I'm not so sure the data would support that first statement, but whatever. Getting back to the subject at hand, I don't think the geography of WNY is the reason why the forecasts are inaccurate. There are small scale microclimates in every state. Of course, once you get close to the oceans and large mountain ranges, things change quickly. You can get a arid desert and subarctic continental climate within 30 miles. Outside of lake effect bands, where a few miles make the difference AND weather models don't have the resolution to pinpoint those systems, you just don't have many many variables to throw the simulations for a loop. Why are they clueless? Because meteorologists have always batted .500, and until the models improve, that's just how it's going to be.
  12. Specifics Illinois. Growing seasons are factors of temperature, precipitation, last frost date, etc. Most of WNY seems to fall in zone 5-6. Yes, there are isolated pockets. I reinforce my point that microclimate is largely up to interpretation. Is 5-10 degrees in low temperature minimum noteworthy? Maybe. Most plants are !@#$ed if it's -20 or -25 regardless! Then again, my views are based on my observations of CO and CA microclimates. I am 37 miles from an area that got 330" of snow this year, compared to 33" here . Working out of San Jose every quarter, the weather between the coast, Silicon Valley, and the inland cities is much more dramatic. 60 and foggy in San Francisco, 90 and sunny in Stockton isn't crazy. I
  13. Weather nerd ramblings - I think microclimate is a very overused term. You have to define what is changing....ex. precipitation, temperature, or the climate itself, with respect to distance and percentage change. In Buffalo, the lake effect bands are what are most relevant. For the other three seasons, the geography doesn't throw enough of a curveball to dramatically change things.
  14. We try to go there every time we're back, but if it's the holidays, good luck finding seats. We order take out and eat next door at ABW.
  15. Those other cities have gone all in on "high tech", lots of hardware, software and development work going on there. The international dollars, high real estate costs, mass transit investment, traffic and yuppies have followed. Health sector seems to be the low hanging fruit for WNY, let's keep pushing that angle.
  16. Change is a very vague term. When I think of change, I think of old timers cashing out and leaving, new industries booming, young people moving in droves, traffic, etc. etc. That's what is happening in Austin, Denver, Seattle, Atlanta, San Jose and San Francisco. The change is quite dramatic. Buffalo has changed, but I don't think it's much different than what it was when I was growing up there.
  17. Nothing wrong with wanting to be famous. Remember Cam Newton's "entertainer and an icon" comment? I don't know if Cleveland was the right scenario for him. Even if it was a perfect environment, the coke lines in the bathroom and Vegas benders never game him a shot.
  18. I thought he head plenty of ability. The 1st round talent was there, but he was too much of a sandlot QB for most coaches. We really won't know what he could have been, he was more concerned about getting wasted than playing football.
  19. Under $25K for acre lots in that area. If you don't mind the ground splitting open and liquid hot magma, it's a good deal.
  20. If you make it about film and stats, Allen is always going to look poor. He's not a production pick, he's a projection pick.
  21. Mauna Loa is the one you have to worry about. If you haven't been, I highly encourage a visit to Hawai'i Island. The National Park and Ka'u coast is all undeveloped and the scenery is spectacular.
  22. I am keeping tabs on LP Black Beauty prices... I have a 65 Melody Maker SG. Compared to my Strat, the tone sucks, but if you want to chomp on power chords and ACDC solos it's the best guitar in the world.
  23. STATS and JOSH ALLEN, I think we know where this is going to go....
