  1. that wasn't going to be sustainable. i know you don't agree, but this team was in a bad financial place. the plan is to sustain long term success. we'll draft and keep our own, while filling some gaps in fa. they're trying to establish an environment where the team is bigger than the player, and that there's maximum effort at every level. that's not what we had. if some fans don't think this is the staff to accomplish that, i can understand.
  2. it's a guess, but i'm assuming that's the case. i could see a scenario where the bills win 8/9 game and miss the playoffs. if that happens, but allen continues to improve, i'd want this staff back.
  3. really scott? after 17 years of not making the playoffs, no shake up was needed? and while you're at it, why don't you just act like getting a good coach and franchise qb is no biggie!
  4. i'm pretty much always looking for a reason to take xanax, so this will suffice.
  5. beane's moves made the roster "worse" to improve this team and make them a regular playoff contender. it starts with this off season. the bills have just existed as average for too long. a shake up was needed, and that's what we're getting. i have no idea if it's going to work, but i'm excited about our qb and some of the young pieces in place. i don't know why people are so flabbergasted by the way this year went. it's all unfortunately part of it.
  6. they really don't need to make the playoffs next year. it will be disappointing if the bills win 7, but i'm willing to be the pegulas would be more than happy to give this staff another year.
  7. this is exactly where i'm at with it as well. the core should be in place this up coming season, but i'd be surprised if they were hardcore competitors when it comes to the playoffs. they should be in the hunt, but i'm not expecting them. if allen continues to improve, and this team can shake those runs of blowouts, i'll be happy next year.
  8. please don't get me wrong. i love the old regime, but when andre's comments come of as that of another upset fan, he puts himself out there with us commoners...internet anger and all.
  9. I agree, but I was more referring to the nostalgia that surrounds that cast. I grew up with that team and loved every second of it. But when it comes to input with this current staff, the old guys need to let go. Even Bruce Smith was goongnon about not hiring Reich. Enough. They absolutely have the right to criticize the team, but be ready for some blow back. We all love them for what they’ve done, but now they’re fans like us.
  10. At this point, Andre is a keyboard jockey too. I love Andre for what he did here, but I think we all need to move on from the Super Bowl days. He has no connection to this team anymore, and I think it rubs the old guys the wrong way. Besides, what Andre said was kinda meh. Again, there’s a lot of players on these playoffs teams that come from other teams first. This isn’t a bills specific problem. Very few who have left the bills have really elevated their team at all. They’re the same guys or worse, but in different uniforms. Teams lose guys. On top of that, a poster commented that Andre could manage a team better than mcd. Come on now. Andre was a great wr, but it’s over. He’s just a fan like us now.
  11. Will you be ok. I think you’re more annoyed that his opinion is being criticized. That’s what happens when you put yourself out there on Twitter. If Andre can’t handle it, don’t post. It would be because it may mean Allen hasn’t progressed that way we hoped.
  12. I’ve read through the entire thread. I see people giving their opinions towards andre’s comment. They have every right to, just as Andre has every right to post the comment.
  13. No one said he wasn’t allowed to give his opinion, did they? No.
  14. And fans have the right to express an opinion concerning what someone posts on twitter. See how that works? again, what Andre said applies to most teams in the nfl. People are pointing that out.
  15. I agree that is very unlikely to see this staff let go after next year. Something pretty disastrous would have to go down to let that happen.
  16. Oh sure. I don’t mind that he said anything. We all have opinions. I was responding to a poster who seemed to be implying that reed knows how to run a team better than this coaching staff. Besides, as others have mentioned, I’m sure every fan of every team can watch these playoff games with guys that have moved in from their team. This is nothing new in the nfl. When ex-bills start sounding like whiney board members, I just tend to tune them out.
  17. I guarantee McD absolutely knows better how to manage a team than reed. I love reed, but the guy can even manage his own haircut.
  18. Although it’s happened a number of times without people losing their jobs. Hope you never make a mistake.
  19. Even if the bills don’t make the playoffs next season, the staff will likely still retain their jobs. If it’s a total disaster that one thing, but I’d doubt 7/8 wins would get anyone a pink slip. Not that that’s successful, but I don’t think it’s durable to the pegulas.
  20. But not more productive. That’s Sammy’s problem.
  21. I wouldn’t be happy with those numbers. That being said, he has his contract to prove it. He has the talent.
  22. Sammy is wildly talented. For some reason, it just hasn’t reflected in his numbers. Injuries are a part of that, but at the end of the day, he has to play better for what he’s paid.
  23. I don’t think Sammy was paid market value. His numbers don’t match his salary. IMO he was paid on potential when it comes to KC. It didn’t work out for them at all this year. It may next season, but that remains to be seen.
