This place is tough.

this is it. i don't mind the differing opinions...it's just not where i look for that type of conversation.

i don't mind politics being intertwined into the game. i personally think of sports as strict entertainment, and don't typically look towards athletes or actors as a source of political or spiritual influence, but i don't mind if others express their beliefs. you never know where there's a learning opportunity. a guy i grew up with stopped watching football for a couple of years because of the kneeling issue. this is a guy who loves the bills and played football. i just couldn't wrap my head around that.

i have a similar, more minor issue with lilacs.

that's our situation too. we removed a lot of the landscaping by the pool when we redid the back last year, but we have one flowering tree within feet of the diving board. first it's the petals, then it turns into the dead seeds, now it's the cotton wood, (i think it's cotton wood). the first half of june is annoying. it gets easier after that...unless you have a bird problem.

i flush it weekly too, but only for a few minutes. i remember my dad spending hours on a sunday cleaning the pool. i can't tell if he hated it, or used it to get away from us for a while.

new houses always are. we've been in our house now for 5 years, so i bought the vacuum maybe 4 years ago. i think i spent 900 bucks, and considering we have a large pool, it's more than enough. you shouldn't have to spend anywhere near $1500. between the vacuum and the automatic chlorinator, there's not a ton to do. i screw with it once a week for about 45 mins.

north...get one of the robot vacuums. they're worth they're weight in gold. you drop that sucker in, and let it do its thing. i put mine on a 3 and a half hour clean, and it's perfect afterward...that's if it's really dirty. testing the water is a bit of a pain, but i'm not vacuuming the pool myself.

i just contacted my union rep.

i send them pictures of my junk which i expect to be printed out, in color, signed, and sent back to me. the stamp is on them too.

me too. hate is not even strong enough of a word. i'm stuck here for a while.

i can't get behind this. any of this. the hotter the better. the january to may is such an awful run around here, that i'm outside as much as i can be from now until around november.
