what a piece of news to wake up to. it will be interesting if nothing else.

do people not understand that wearing masks is just one component of keeping things in check, and not the complete solution? wear the masks, keep washing hands, don't touch you face, avoid huge crowds, etc. it's not just about wearing mask exclusively. hell, i'm going out to dinner tonight. i'll wear a mask until i sit down, and i'll be outside, but it's ok to go out. just be smart and considerate.

exactly. my parents just turned 80. i see them, but don't hug them. i'm just too much of a risk for that right now. no living in a cave...just trying to be smart about it.

i hate that approach too. i'm out and about. i'm not "staying in my cave", but i stay vigilant with the mask, distancing, etc. i wouldn't go to large public events at this point, but if it's legal, and people want to go...so be it. i just hope everyone tries to keep this thing under check. there's just nothing worse than being accused of living in fear, and then having someone spew complete misinformation about what's going on.

we do the HD antennas at work for the tvs. it's great, and it's shocking how many channels we can get. it saves me hundreds a month.

it's one of the few apps that i don't mind paying for. our kids watch it daily, but there's a ton of non-kid programing on it. all the disney content is there. all of the simpsons episodes, all of the marvel movie, and a number of other things that you may not think disney has anything to do with.

at work no. we don't do the politics, religion, etc talk at work. people don't come here for that...they want and easy in and out. at home and in my personal life, sure. my family has always been open about all topics. if anything, we tend to talk about relationships/sex the least. not sure why.

i'm in victor/perinton. i live by casa larga. when i lived in webster, i was minutes from marge's if that damn bridge was down. since it's not down in the summer, i almost never went.

this is very well put. we all hate the new normal. over the last few months, i've lost a lot, (and continue to lose) of income. i'm lucky to have a job to come back to at all, so i don't complain, but we've all taken some lumps. it's ok to want the world to move forward which i'm on board with 100%, but it's also ok, and necessary to still be somewhat cautious. i'm not personally worried about getting sick myself, but i'm extremely concerned about getting my 80 year old parents sick,getting the people that come into my building sick, getting my employees sick, etc. it's just common consideration. it's not hard for me to wear a mask and avoid huge gatherings, so i do it. i've been out to dinner, gone shopping, and had my hair cut, but i've been cautious and taken the basic measures suggested to us. why not? no one is asking anyone to halt their lives, or live "in a bubble". to say that is just not being honest. just be courteous to people around you. at this point, when i see people not caring, i just assume they're selfish d-bags.

we should expand this to all viruses. let's throw HIV in and make it interesting. oh my...
