  1. Fitz has over 30,000 yards and over 200 TDs.... Certainly , way more stats than a lot of bums who get paid The dude was in trash situations for most of his career.. played with cast-offs and afterthoughts And has 30,000 yards throwing Put some respect on Ryan Fitzpatrick He's ahead of Tony Romo on the all-time yards list and cam Newton and Ryan Tannehill Pro bowlers from Around the same era
  2. Are you saying bobby gets more or less than what they say
  3. When did cousins ever defer his contract to after he retired ? The Mets thought they were going to make billions on the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme... Which they didn't realize was a scheme So that's why they deferred his contract till he retired thinking they'd make more money... Not realizing the Ponzi scheme would collapse.. they would lose a bunch of money And the interest on Bobby's deferment kicked in... It was supposed to be 5.9 million deferred... Which turned over 20 million because of the interest I don't see how the Kirk cousins is anything like that
  4. They have barely made a playoffs the last 2 years and now lost a bunch of their best players in their prime Wilkins, van ginkel and hunt are all really good football players who are in the prime of their careers Jones is also young Howard is the oldest and he's 30 and he's still pretty good
  5. The worst season of his career and he still finished 47 for all qualifying cornerbacks passer rating against There are 64 outside corners starting For veteran minimum and a bench player that you wouldn't ask to do nothing more than platoon I don't think you could actually do much better ... Unless you absolutely hit on a fourth round pick
  6. Bobby bonilla deferred his contract... Until he retired Completely different
  7. And they signed Josh Jacobs
  8. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush Cam Lewis is one of the best bottom end depth players you can get in the league.. just his experience in McDermott scheme gives him so much flexibility and safety and slot corner and special teams The back half of an NFL roster.. number 45-52... Is typically back half roster guys who get turned around yearly Having cohesion and he can make plays... Is certainly better than another teams 50th back end player who has to learn the system Cam is liked in the locker room and by the staff.. and if a rookie beats him out they certainly won't keep cam over him
  9. Lets be real... Beane got a wide receiver in the fourth who just got a 50 million contract for 3 years That's a good draft pick that he made.. hopefully he does stuff like this for a long time Find good players in the 4th 5th 6th round which he always has he's definitely a really good wide receiver coach But There's really not a shortage of good one.. even though he is definitely on the upswing as a coach
  10. Absolutely He worked his ass off for a career... Started with waking on at Alabama and it took 4 years to get a starting job! Most Walk-Ons give up after a year or two after not getting a scholarship
  11. Without a doubt I 100% agree With the practice squad editions I think he's the perfect veteran who could slot into the number two outside role due to circumstances Affordable, consistent in his scheme and technique He could be a valuable third outside corner to a cornerback needy team... But he's at least fourth on ours
  12. It depends what you consider a number three.. are you saying starting slot corner? The third defensive back in our nickel absolutely not Could he be the third outside corner? In a platoon limiting his snaps.. in McDermott's defense for veteran minimum yeah In McDermott's combination coverage defense he's actually pretty astute because he has a high football knowledge and he's great in palms coverage But he's definitely physically limited and getting older which means he's better platooning
  13. McDermott would take Levi Wallace over Josh Norman The problem Levi hasn't been available Norman has... Same price point I'm taking Levi 100% now
  14. Over 6 years.. the worst passer rating he's ever allowed throughout a season put him at #47 for all qualifying corners He's also had multiple seasons where he's been in the top 30 and even once in the top 20 in passer rating against I think he's squarely a mid-tier number two in a platoon for at least another year or two.. with physical limitations that make him only a fit for 7 or 8 teams But those 8 teany who can get him cheap definitely don't get burned.. especially when they are platooning the number two guy to ,65-70% of snaps
  15. I checked and he was on the injury report for a back injury the week we played Washington Then he got suplexed by sauce Gardener the next week He may not have had a severe injury but I think he was playing through back pain for the last half of the year
  16. It's been a while so I can't say for certainty you might be right But he definitely was listed as a back injury before we played Denver... Then the next week he got suplexed by saucegardner And he seemed to get up slow the rest of the year He wasn't listed before... But I thought he was at least on that for a few weeks But that hit looked like it affected him the week after he did have a back designation There's a difference between being injured and banged up.. he could have been playing through a lot of back pain
  17. Well I think it's a little bit of a few things... Yes diggs certainly is in the latter half of his career but soundly in the top 10 imo when healthy... He certainly was banged up last year It would be nice to have a thoroughbred X receiver to take some pressure off him As to Gordon I think that year shows what happens when he had his head on right and he actually just wanted to ball... He was going to be the focal point so he stayed focus But he's more akin to Eric moulds or TO level talent but such a knuckle head he was suspended and left college Then after all the drugs injuries and suspensions just floated around the league But the dude had such crazy physical talent he was the highest supplemental draft pick in a while.. there hasn't been a supplemental draft choice taken with a higher pick then Gordon in 21 years
  18. He was an all pro for a season He certainly dwindled the talent he had by doing drugs and stupid stuff.. so no he certainly isn't elite But his 1700 yd season showed how freaking talented he is But that's why one year , 2 year wonders.. I don't exactly crown them as future Hall of famers Give me 4 years of excellent play and then yeah I'll regard you as one of the best at your position
  19. Again I think you're confusing what im calling game breaking versus a tremendous or even a elite player First ballot Hall of Fame type guys who dominate their opponents week in and week out single-handedly are game breaking to me There's only 6-8 of those guys in the entire NFL... Tre white was an amazing football player before his injuries... And he is my favorite football player of the last 15 years And since cornerback is so dependent on the pass rush... They just physically cannot dominate an opponent like others can Nobody could stop JJ Watt from getting to the quarterback in his prime... Cornerbacks do not have that effect unless your deion Sanders That doesn't mean they're not tremendously valuable... The Bills lost Tre white and still had the top ranked defense... McDermott's scheme masked our corners and it still does So yeah I'd rather have elite corners than non-elite corners... But it's a fact that even the best corners get beat... And they are dependent on their pass rush because they cannot run with good receivers for 4-5 seconds Jalen Ramsey is a three-time All pro and when Josh Allen has time, diggs makes him look silly.. if Josh was getting hit in 2 seconds , Ramsey would look a lot better He's considered the best corner of the last 7 years and he's easily beatable when the pass rush isn't there
  20. And that's why they're a tremendous defense As I said you need all three levels... But when I am talking about a game breaking player.. those are first ballad Hall of Fame type guys to me Guys who do destroy games Sneed is an excellent corner not debating that.. I just don't think he destroys games he needs help Chris Jones has destroyed offensive lines by himself.. that's why I'll call him a game breaker.. I think he's a Hall of Fame type guy
  21. he made plays That is completely different then wrecking somebody's game plan week in and out .. like Allen can do or Bruce Smith As I said Bruce Smith can destroy offensive lines all night and single-handedly dictate a game Every single NFL cornerback is dependent on the pass rush... Even the best corners cannot run with good wide receivers for 5 seconds They all get beat So their corners success is also based on the front four 100% they work together The best corners will not mask zero pass rush... That's why there are zero game breaking cornerbacks in the NFL Sneed cannot run with top end NFL wide receivers for 5 seconds... Like all cornerbacks he is dependent on the front 4 getting home fairly quick Even the elite cornerbacks cannot Chase NFL receivers across the field for 4 seconds
  22. Even the original poster agreed with me that there is a difference between a game breaker and an elite player Game breakers are your few and far between players who can single-handedly take over a game Destroy an opponent's game plan by themself The bills have had two All pro CBs in the last 10 years.. Stefan Gilmore is going to the Hall of Fame... Tre white went an entire season without giving up one touchdown Both are some of my favorite players in the last 20 years Neither are game breakers as cornerbacks do not wreck game plans... Because even the best cornerback in the world will get beat when the pass rush doesn't get home.. Jalen Ramsey is a three-time first team All pro and Stefan diggs makes him look like a bench warmer at times It's because cornerbacks even the best get beat... The only game breaking cornerback I have ever seen was deion Sanders and darrelle revis... Somebody else in this thread got me to agree to champ Bailey That's it.. we've had two All-Pro corners here and neither were game breakers They might be elite NFL cornerbacks and they certainly can make plays... They do not in fact destroy game plans... There's nothing you can do when a Josh Allen or Patrick mahomes or myles Garrett get into a zone... They can single-handedly destroy your team No offense to those great cornerbacks but neither of them are dictating a game like that.. in fact as I said corners really can't because you can attack seven other people, and your dependent on the pass rush... Because even the best NFL CBs can't run for 6 seconds with a good NFL wide receiver But Bruce Smith can single-handedly destroy an offense
  23. Professional bum quarterback can still get the ball to good wide receivers Josh Gordon went for 1700 yards playing with lower echelon bum NFL quarterbacks If the team thinks you're a playmaker they will get you the ball... And diggs was obviously hobbled... He was slow to get up the entire second half of the season... Still had 105 catches I'd wager he'll go back to 1250 yards next year in an offense that is starting to run the ball more
  24. Absolutely and the bills need to keep acquiring talent via the draft to keep up
  25. I didn't say the word elite I used the word game breaker which he used also... To me a game breaker is somebody who can single-handedly wreck a game... Destroy the other teams game plan Patrick mahomes and Josh Allen are game breakers... Tyreek Hill is a game breaker.. Chris Jones is a game breaker.. myles garrett... guys who single-handedly can destroy a game plan The bills have had two All-Pro cornerbacks here in the last 10 years.. Stefan Gilmore is going to the Hall of Fame He's one of my favorite football players ever and I would never say Gilmore is a game breaker.. he's elite.. he does not destroy game plans Neither does Sneed or McDuffie They might be elite level NFL cornerbacks but I separate that from being a game breaker which is somebody who could single-handedly take over a game The only corners I've ever seen take over a game are revis prime time and I like the champ Bailey
