Do The Bills Have Enough "Elite" Talent?
Buffalo716 replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kansas City has a very good defense.. it literally takes three levels of cohesion to have a top NFL defense The best cornerbacks in the world cannot cover if you do not have a pass rush... If the opposing quarterback has five seconds in the pocket every play you will get torched by Blaine gabbert And vice versa if you have the best defensive line in the world.. or one of the best that constantly collapses pockets.. lesser cornerbacks look better because they don't have to cover as long A good pass rush has always masked bad coverage for 60 years Kansas City has a pass rush.. and good cornerbacks Of course they have a good defense they are built the right way.. they can get to the quarterback and they have guys who can cover But if they couldn't get to the quarterback those guys who are covering wouldn't matter because even Hall of famers get exposed when they have to run for 5 seconds The longer the play is the bane of any NFL CB... Which is why guys like Josh Allen and Patrick mahomes have so much success because they can buy time -

Ryan Fitzpatrick is better than Brock purdy... He is s a complete system quarterback and San Francisco will regret it if they give him hundreds of millions of dollars Put prime fits on San Francisco with all those weapons... He'd be the guy with the MVP consideration... It's shanahan's offense Fitz has 200 touchdowns in over 30,000 yards playing with mainly scrubs and bad teams -
NeverOutNick's First round QB rankings

The biggest false detractor about Williams is that he doesn't take layups.. or cannot Look at him at Oklahoma when he first took over the job... He is getting the ball out insanely fast.. he picks his spots and gets rid of it... Short game was very good Going to USC where is defense was giving up 40 points a game literally made it impossible for him to play small ball... You can't play small ball when you have to score 45 a game Not enough time The game plan for Lincoln Riley and USC was for wide receivers to get down field.. and allow Caleb Williams to use his athleticism and pocket presence to buy time and make big plays... Because you can't go on 12 Play drives needing to score 45 points a night He has shown at Oklahoma that he can have a quick trigger... The offense at USC was not predicated on that -

I don't think Snead or McDuffie are game breakers They are really good cornerbacks.. but they're not deion Sanders... And they're not moving the spread that much The bills had three All pro defensive backs for years and it doesn't stop elite quarterbacks... Josh still balls out versus Kansas City I think mahomes and Kelce and Chris Jones are there pure game wreckers... Hall of Fame guys who can take over any game By and large part cornerbacks do not take over games unless your name is derelle revis or Deion Sanders Tre White and stephon Gilmore we're both elite level corners in Buffalo that had plenty of detractors because even elite corners get beat pretty reg Our own Stefan diggs has made All-Pro Ramsey look like a bench warmer at times lol You need great corners but they don't move the needle much on the spread and they really don't wreck the game -

I understand that but the bills also have high end talent that isn't all pros either Ed Oliver was top three for pure defensive tackles in the entire NFL for run stuffing tfl... Top three in sacks Purely an animal now in the upper echelon of NFL Diggs , Got suplexed earlier in the season and was clearly hampered the entire year.. still caught over 105 balls for close to 1200 yards That would put him 6th in the AFC... Still completely upper echelon while being banged up Dalton Kincaid broke every bills rookie tight end record... And will probably be a star with Josh Allen Not to mention James Cook was 3d in the NFL in yards from scrimmage for RBs.. James Cook might not be the best running back in the NFL but he had one of the best seasons Douglas literally stepped into our defensive back room and played like an All-Pro from day one.. dude was literally a blanket.. he was so locked in it was very nice -

It's pretty premature to call McDuffie a top three cornerback in the NFL lol Plenty of corners have short stints of success and fall off but to be top five you need to get it done for a long time.. he's no prime Gilmore And people thought the Bills middle linebacker would suck this year only to be in shock and awe about how good our development can actually be The bills have plenty of talent established and rising to contend We got destroyed by the injury bug.. and still could have won or tied the game on the last possession before wide right The Gap is not huge It's literally a few plays -

0% chance they take a 3T round 1 A tweener 1-3T round 4-7 is more likely Someone who can line up at 1T and generate pass rush with Oliver in passing situations -
He wasn't fired Having a contract expired and not renewed is different than getting canned

Dion Dawkins Value - Extend or Trade?
Buffalo716 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Who gives a ***** These are grown men and they talk trash on the field, off the field and on the golf course Josh Allen is one of the biggest trash talkers in the league These are pros.. nothing Dion Dawkins can say could give them more motivation A non confident man thinks Dion saying good luck will give the Chiefs some extra motivation... If the Chiefs needed any extra motivation they wouldn't even be in that position I want Dion and everybody to think they are unbeatable at home and I want them to be that confident -

Nobody will know how aesthetic our stadium will look until you actually see it in person for the first time Everybody related to the bills organization has said it is going to be top notch and state of the art This board is filled with a bunch of whiners I'm thrilled my children and their children will get to watch the bills And the stadium will be beautiful Some people are never pleased and that's a fact -
This is the biggest game of the year without a doubt

It's because the ACC is considered a shell of itself Which hurts

That's kind of the exact opposite of what Nick Saban and his game film said about him at Alabama lol Nick Saban literally opened up the playbook to a more pro style offense because tua could get to his 3rd + read Something that Jalen hurts couldn't do When a play breaks down tua isn't a good improviser... But he can get to his second and third read in college very easily He struggles in the pros because he's not built for the game and once his first reads not there he's taking a hit... So gets happy feet Sabans my favorite coach and tua certainly did not have a problem at Alabama getting to his second third or even 4th read... I was at the Alabama spring game when tua was an 18 year old high schooler playing in the game And he was dicing up Alabama's defense as a kid who was technically still in high school.. early enrolled... He was a tremendous college quarterback from the day he stepped on campus Much better at processing and getting to his second and third read than Jalen

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/roman-wilson/32005749-4c77-7750-194f-0fd7ed86214a This is a wide receiver the bills are targeting What's one of his weaknesses? Tends to One speeds his routes... Being able to run routes at multiple tempos is a positive not a negative Being able to run routes at multiple speeds has been a good thing forever because it keeps defensive backs on their heels Nobody and I'm certainly not saying you want players to run routes slowly... I'm saying the ability to change pace is a massive positive for a wide receiver Always has been

https://www.cover1.net/cole-beasley-option-routes-josh-allens-development-buffalo-bills/ This literally talks about how cole beasley changes up his speed on routes to get an advantage.. Or talk to a wide receiver coach.. changing up speeds doesn't mean running slow... It can help create leverage You don't need to be running 23 miles an hour to create separation... You can do it with craftiness and savvy
-
I've been Coaching and scouting for a long time I respectfully disagree NFL wide receivers do not run balls to the wall every single play.. and they certainly know how to vary their Pace on routes Changing route speeds is a huge part of being an NFL wide receiver... It always has
-
Changing route speeds is a massive part of a world class route runner You certainly just do not run full speed every single route... You need to have variance and nuance Mixing up tempo and variance... Allows you to set up cornerbacks for further routes... And gain leverage advantages Everybody in the NFL is fast just running at 100% speed doesn't work.. guys like Jerry Rice and Antonio Brown and Cole Beasley and Andre Reed were Masters at changing routes speeds.. it's the variance that gets you an edge in the pros Everybody is extremely fast you need to have nuance to route running I didn't listen to the interview so I don't know exactly what context that was used in but the ability to change routes speeds at the NFL level is actually a big plus

The NET ranking are definitely flawed and I know they are important but SU is #4 rn in the ACC with 20 wins They should be a tournament team

I think Morse has More than Hyde or poyer left As Jason Kelce has said a bunch... Physically, it's the easiest line position to play... Mentally it's the toughest Morse is very smart... He has been banged up due to injuries... But he's athletically in the upper tier of centers Look at some of his pulling as a center... A guard pulling like that would be amazing... He's doing it from the center position He's definitely got a very good gift -
I just want to say that this team is absolutely loaded for next year if they stay loyal to the orange And quadir is going to be an NBA player himself with the awesome development of the orange staff He's got the whole bag my God he could easily be a top 20 draft pick when it's all said and done if he sticks it out
-
It's because he's a Cowboy alumni..... He knows his stuff... And OKL st is good ... But top 20 is more reasonable
-
He broke ribs on his first every professional touch in the pre season... Terrible omen
